Alice Thymefield Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Alice Thymefield build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Alice Thymefield is an S-Rank Physical Anomaly DPS Agent who is focused on frequent assaults, building up etiquette, and her charged basic attack that will trigger her Polarized Assault and deal massive DMG. In our guide, we will cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Alice Thymefield, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.

Alice Thymefield's Best W-Engines

Listed below are Alice Thymefield's best W-Engines. While W-Engines are listed in a priority order, what is best to build on your Alice Thymefield can vary slightly depending on your team composition.

Practiced Perfection
Gift of Stardust
The equipper's Anomaly Mastery increases by 60/69/78/87/96. When inflicting Assault, the equipper's Physical DMG increases by 20/23/26/29/32% for 20s, stacking up to 2 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. When the equipper enters combat, immediately gain 2 stacks.
Alice Thymefield's signature W-Engine is her best option to build around due to the benefits it provides. This W-Engine provides Alice with a 60 Anomaly Mastery increase, and a 20% Physical DMG increase when inflicting Assault.
Sharpened Stinger
Indulge in the Hunt
Upon activating a Dash Attack, gain 1 stack of Predatory Instinct. Each stack of Predatory Instinct increases the equipper's Physical DMG by 12/15/18/21/24% for 10s, stacking up to 3 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s and repeated triggers reset the duration. When entering combat or triggering Perfect Dodge, gain 3 stacks of Predatory Instinct. While Predatory Instinct is at maximum stacks, the equipper's Anomaly Buildup Rate increases by 40/50/60/70/80%.
Sharpened Stinger is Jane's Signature Weapon, but it is a very good option for Alice as well. It provides a good amount of additional Anomaly Proficiency, Physical DMG, and Anomaly Buildup Rate.
Fusion Compiler
Data Flood
Increases ATK by 12/15/18/21/24%.
When using a Special Attack or EX Special Attack, the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency is increased by 25/31/37/43/50 for 8s, stacking up to 3 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Fusion Compiler especially at S5 is another great choice, increasing Alice's ATK and Anomaly Proficiency.
Weeping Gemini
Lingering Cries
Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff that increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30/34/38/42/48, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
Your best F2P option is Weeping Gemini, which should get a near 100% uptime on its Anomaly Proficiency buff due to Alice's frequent Assault triggers.
Electro-Lip Gloss
Kiss of Death
When there are enemies inflicted with Attribute Anomaly on the field, the equipper's ATK increases by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16% and they deal an additional 15/17.5/20/22.5/25% more DMG to the target.

Best Drive Discs for Alice Thymefield

Fanged Metal
2-Piece Set: Physical DMG +10%
4-Piece Set: Whenever a squad member inflicts Assault on an enemy, the equipper deals 35% additional DMG to the target for 12s.
Alice Thymefield's best Drive Disc set is Fanged Metal. Alice will appreciate the additional Physical DMG and 35% DMG increase when inflicting Assault.

2-Piece Recommendations include:

  • Moonlight Lullaby
  • Swing Jazz
  • Hormone Punk
Moonlight Lullaby is the recommended 2-piece because of the massive Energy Regeneration, but all these options are all very good 2-piece options for Alice Thymefield's Build. It mostly depends on what stats rolled on your other Discs, and what you still need between energy regen or ATK.
Moonlight Lullaby
2-Piece Set: Energy Regen +20%
4-Piece Set: When the equipper is a Support character and uses an EX Special Attack or Ultimate, the DMG dealt by all squad members increases by 18% for 25s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
Another good option for Astra is the Moonlight Lullaby. If someone else in your team already wears Astral Voice, this set is the best for any Support Agent due to the massive Energy Regeneration it provides, and the DMG bonus to the whole squad.

2-Piece Recommendations include:

  • Phaethon's Melody
  • Puffer Electro
  • Freedom Blues
  • Astral Voice
These options are all very good 2-piece options for Alice Thymefield's Build. It mostly depends on what stats rolled on your other Discs, and what you still need.

Alice Thymefield's Stat Priority

Disc 4: Anomaly Proficiency
Disc 5: PEN / Physical DMG %
Disc 6: Anomaly Mastery
Substats: Anomaly Proficiency > ATK % > ATK > PEN

With regards to building Alice's substats, she converts her excess Anomaly Mastery (140+) into Anomaly Proficiency (1.6 AP per excess point). Her signature weapon does give a good AP boost. It means you will want to at least reach 140 Anomaly Mastery, and then as much more as you can, to convert as many points as possible. The second most important stat to focus on when building Alice is ATK %.

Alice Thymefield's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: > > > > >

Alice Thymefield's most important skill to level is her Core skill since it provides an important Disorder DMG multiplier bonus, additional DMG, and more Blade Etiquette buildup. After that Basic Attack is the most important as it will be your main skill.

How to Play Alice Thymefield

Alice has a unique mechanic called Blade Etiquette. You can accumulate 300 maximum charge on it, and it is gained by most actions outside of charged basic attacks. Once you have the full 300 Blade Etiquette, you can use her Charged Basic Attack via Basic Attack: Starshine Waltz. This will unleash an AoE that will consume all etiquette and deal massive damage.

We do not recommend you release Blade Etiquette before the full charge, as it is a bit of a waste of DPS. Only use it at 300 charge.

Alice also has a mechanic called Polarized Assault. This allows her to trigger Disorder on its own. Basically she triggers Disorder with herself.

Inflicting Physical Anomaly adds a DoT that deals 25% of the original Assault DMG over 9.5 seconds thanks to her Core skill. Her Core skills also allows her to gain 25% Physical Anomaly Buildup Rate for 30s. And on top of that, if the enemy suffers from Physical Anomaly, for every 1s of remaining Anomaly, the Disorder DMG multiplier increases by 18% for up to 180%.

You want to use her Ultimate only when you are under 100 Blade Etiquette, as the Ultimate will restore 200 Etiquette. If you use when you are over 200 already, it is a waste as well.

Alice's EX Special Attack can be used forward or backwards:

  • Forward: Faster, higher DPS and anomaly uptime.
  • Backwards: Slower, more i-frames, better if you need to be safe or generate resource.

Both ways will still restore 10 Etiquette and can trigger perfect dodge.

The best rotation for Alice is as follows:

  • Build up 300 Blade Etiquette.
  • Use your Charged Basic Attack: Starshine Waltz when Blade Etiquette is full. Like Hoshimi Miyabi, the animation is quite long, so swap cancel it.
  • Ultimate: Starfall Finale (when under 100 Blade Etiquette).
  • Use EX Special Attack: Aurora Thrust - Northern Cross to dodge.
  • When you trigger Assault, chain into her enhanced Basic 5 Attack.
  • Repeat once 300 Blade Etiquette is charged again.

Alice Thymefield's Best Mindscapes

Alice's best Mindscapes generally speaking are good, but would require a ton of investment. You are better off getting her W-Engine than her Mindscapes. Her M1 is amazing, and her M2 provides some good additions, and you should stop it there. Her M6 is quite good, even really good, but requires you to start building CRIT on her, on top of the rest.
