Problem Soldier Boot Camp Event Guide for Zenless Zone Zero

This event will take place during version 2.2 of the game, from September 24, 2025, until October 09, 2025.

During this event you will have to help the Obol Squad with their special training! This is a simulation training event, where you can play as Seed or Orphie & Magus. Your goal is to make it through the different combat stages. You will fight on a special battlefield where hitting enemies will create a knock-back effect, send them into the electric fence on the boarder of the arena.

Depending on the stage, other new mechanics will also be available!

In order to participate you will need to reach Inter-Knot level 15 and complete Agent Story Mole in the Hole.

During the event, you will want to swing by Scott Outpost and chat with Ethan to hop into the special simulation training program.

Over the first two days, two themed stage sets named Rotated Strike and Projectile Reversal, will unlock one after the other, each offering three unique stages. On day three, things will end with the big finale: Final Siege: Showdown.

Each stage has its own special mechanics and stage-specific Gear, so make sure to take advantage of the combat buffs they offer. To spice things up, you will also get to run challenges with Agents Seed and Orphie & Magus! Do not worry if you do not have them, trial versions will be available so everyone gets a chance to try them out.

The first stage of Rotated Strike will not let you pick any gear, so just head in, pick Seed, and knock them all down! During the fight, the goal is to beat the enemies by knocking them back against the edge of the arena. Your Basic Attack combos will cause minor knock-back effects, and push enemies backwards.

Once the first stage is completed, you will get an Enhancement Gear.

Equip Volatile Charge and start the second Rotated Strike stage. This time, no knocking back, but instead Husk Balls will periodically appear on the field. After taking damage, those balls will bounce around the field. Use that to defeat enemies.

For the third Rotated Strike stage, equip Rock Ball Supply and start the fight! During the last stage you can use both mechanics learned previously to defeat the enemies!

For the first stage of Projectile Reversal you want to pick the Gear called Volatile Charge. This time, you have to play with Orphie & Magus. Similar to Seed, if you do not have Orphie, a trial version will be available. During the first stage, the big enemy can not be knocked back, but that is why there are a few Ether Power Canisters nearby. Hit them with Orphie's fire attacks to throw them onto the enemy and detonate them. You have to detonate all the Ether Canisters on the field for the next wave to appear.

For Stage two, pick Volatile Charge and Kill Acceleration as gear. This time you have to hit the small enemies to knock them back into the bigger one and deal damage this way. If you throw them all onto the enemy, you barely have to hit it yourself.

For Stage three, pick Volatile Charge and Fuel Supply as gear. For this last stage, simply combine the two previous mechanics to defeat the big enemy.

For this final stage, pick High-Frequency Regeneration, Fuel Supply, and Volatile Charge as gear. This time it is up to you if you play with Seed or Orphie & Magus/ Both work perfectly fine, it does not change much who you pick, so play with the character you are more comfortable with. Seed does make it slightly easier, as her Basic attack combo helps throwing multiple canisters or enemies onto the big one.

The goal here is to get over 12 000 Points, which you can reach rather fast if you focus on knocking things back into the big enemy using the previously learned mechanics.
