Tales of Midsummer Dreams Event Guide for Zenless Zone Zero

This event will take place during version 2.1 of the game, from July 17, 2025, until September 03, 2025.

This event will be part of the Ridu Chronicles which means you can keep playing through its content even after the event officially ends. Keep in mind that the limited-rewards will not be obtainable after the event has ended!

During this event you will team up with Spook Shack for the first time! It's time for spooky stories, swimsuits, and a good relaxing summer vacation! But it does not last long before the summer vacation is over for Proxies, and we are stuck helping the resort out getting his former glory back! Build attractions, manage them, participate in them, and get yourself some new cosmetics!

In order to participate you will need to reach Inter-Knot level 15 and complete Agent Story Mole in the Hole.

To enjoy the event to the fullest, it is recommended to also complete Main Story Season 2 Chapter 2: The Impending Crash of Waves beforehand.

During the event, Proxies can visit Alice Thymefield and Ukinami Yuzuha at Failume Heights, take part in a variety of summer-themed activities, manage the Fantasy Resort, and uncover a spooky mystery!

After you talk to Alice and Yuzuha, you will get teleported directly to the resort location. Once there, follow the quest. It will introduce you to the various activities!

The event mission Midsummer Fantasy and the special gameplay modes will gradually unlock over time:

• Blazing Waves
• Archipelago Shoot
• Ocean Angling

In Blazing Waves, help Alice Thymefield tackle a series of surfing challenges using various surfboards. Master turning, drifting, and power acceleration to finish stages quickly and climb the rankings!

Join Ukinami Yuzuha in Archipelago Shoot: aim and shoot down drone targets to stack up points!

In Ocean Angling, explore different fishing spots and cast your line. Sell your catches for Angler Commemorative Coins, which can be exchanged for new fishing rods and aquarium decorations. You can even showcase your fish in the Aqua Mirage Aquarium.

As you progress through Midsummer Fantasy, two special summer side stories featuring Alice Thymefield and Ukinami Yuzuha will also become available:

• Windrider, Wavebreaker
• A Mermaid Dream

The resort's reception desk allows you to quickly navigate to each activity, and it is also where you will exchange your points from the Visitor Traffic against rewards.

Archipelago Shoot Blazing Waves Ocean Angling

4.1.

Shoot at Targets with Yuzuha!

In Archipelago Shoot you will control Ukinami Yuzuha. Your goal is to score points by hitting targets as they appear.

On keyboard, drag your mouse to move the circle. You will fire in the direction where the center of the circle aims at. Press or hold RT/R2 to fire. Sensitivity can be adjusted in the game's Option Menu. Reloading is automatic when your ammo is empty, but you can reload manually with R. Defeating drones will charge your skill meter. Press E to activate it once it is fully charged.

On controller, drag your left joystick to move the circle. You will fire in the direction where the center of the circle aims at. Press Left mouse Click to fire. Sensitivity can be adjusted in the game's Option Menu. Reloading is automatic when your ammo is empty, but you can reload manually with X/Square. Defeating drones will charge your skill meter. Press Y/Triangle to activate it once it is fully charged.

You can also hit explosives, which will create an AoE explosion, affecting all targets in range.

4.2.

Tips for Archipelago Shoot

• If you can use a mouse and keyboard, we highly recommend it for this one. It can be tricky to aim and shoot fast enough with the controller.
• Always target the bombs that have other bombs in range. This way you trigger multiple combos as the first bomb will trigger all the others in range as well.
• Don't forget to use your skill

Each stage allows you to pick your Ammo type. At first you only have your standard Ammo Clip, but more will unlock as you keep playing through the event. The Scatter Ammo is the most useful with its large hit radius.

4.3.

Surf the Waves with Alice!

In Blazing Waves you will control Alice Thymefield. Your goal is to make it to the finish line with the surf as fast as possible!

The board will advance on its own, all you have to do is steer it left or right (with your usual keyboard controls or left joystick for controller). You can hold down Space/A/X to drift will you turn. Drifting will let you accumulate power more quickly, and maintaining the drift will help you gain more speed.

Once you accumulate enough power you can use it to get a massive speed boost. Power can also be replenished by picking up items on your way.

4.4.

Tips for Blazing Waves

• Don't hesitate to hold your drift, as it really grants you a nice speed bonus.
• Accumulate power and don't hesitate to use your speed boost.
• Pick up as many items as you can on your way.

Each stage allows you to pick your surf board. They are all rather good, pick the one you feel the most comfortable with. The Midsummer Breeze board that has a magnet and lets you suck in items is quite nice.

Progress through the event story and stages to boost Fantasy Resort's visitor traffic. Hitting certain milestones will allow you to claim corresponding rewards.
