Simulated Sequence Showdown Event Guide in Zenless Zone Zero
This event will take place during version 2.4 of the game, from December 08, 2025 until December 29, 2025.
What is the Simulated Sequence Showdown Event About?
During this event, you will have to head to the HIA. They prepared a few new VR stages, with two different modes. Each day unlocks a new stage, and once you complete the beginner stages, the more challenging ones will unlock!
How do you Participate in the Simulated Sequence Showdown Event?
In order to participate you will need to reach Inter-Knot level 22 and unlock Expert Challenge in Chapter 2 of the Main Story.
Event Overview & How It Works
During the event, you can kick things off by talking to Tyrone in Failume Heights, then heading to the HIA to meet Lyla. From there, you will gain access to a new set of VR Challenge stages.
The event is split into three different stage types:
- Alliance Stages (5 total)
- Frontline Stages (5 total)
- Martial Practice Stages (3 total)
New themed stages unlock one per day over the course of the event. Clearing a themed Alliance stage will automatically unlock its matching Frontline stage, and Martial Practice stages are added as the event progresses.
Tactical Buffs & Team Options
Each stage comes with its own Tactical Buff, which provides special combat bonuses. For example, the first stage will provide bonus when Agents use their Ultimate attacks. This means you should use Agents that can often trigger their Ultimate.
In Alliance and Frontline stages, you can freely choose from available trial Agents and Bangboo. We recommend you pick the trial Agents, as they are always tailored to the specific stage buff, making it much easier for you to activate the buffs during the fight.
In Martial Practice stages, your choices are more limited, you have to use the fixed trial Agent provided for that challenge. This time you have to play with Banyue!
Martial Practice Scoring Explained
Martial Practice stages introduce a new scoring system focused on performance and execution.
As you fight, you will earn points by:
- Dealing damage
- Using specific Agent techniques
Using Banyue to chain different techniques within a short time window will build up Technique Combos. These combos increase your score through bonus multipliers, but be careful, if you stop using skills for too long, the combo (and multiplier) will reset.
Your final score in Martial Practice stages is calculated based on:
- Damage Score
- Technique Score
- Time Coefficient, which rewards faster clears
Mastering combos and maintaining constant pressure is how you will get a high score in these stages.
Here are Banyue's Combo you can execute during the event:
- Earth Shaker: During EX Special, Basic Attack, Chain Attack, Ultimate, Assist Follow-up, Dodge Counter, or Quick Assist, quickly tap Basic Attack + EX Special + Basic Attack
