Soukaku Guide & Best Builds
Welcome to our Soukaku build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Soukaku is a powerful A-Rank Ice Support Agent known for providing buffs for Ice-related teams. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Soukaku, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.
Soukaku's Best W-Engines
Listed below are Soukaku's best W-Engines. While W-Engines are listed in a priority order, what's best to build on your Soukaku can vary depending on the investment you want to put into your Soukaku as well as your team composition.
Kaboom the Cannon
When any friendly unit in the squad attacks and hits an enemy, all friendly units' ATK increases by 2.5/2.8/3.2/3.6/4% for 8s, stacking up to 4 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately, and each friendly unit can provide 1 stack of the buff. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
Bashful Demon
Increases Ice DMG by 15/17.5/20/22/24%. When launching an EX Special Attack, all squad members' ATK increases by 2/2.3/2.6/2.9/3.2% for 12s, stacking up to 4 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
Unfettered Game Ball
Whenever the equipper's attack triggers an Attribute Counter effect, all units' CRIT Rate against the struck enemy increases by 12/13.5/15.5/17.5/20% for 12s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.
Best Drive Discs for Soukaku
Freedom Blues
4-Piece Set: When an EX Special Attack hits an enemy, reduce the target's Anomaly Buildup RES to the equipper's Attribute by 20% for 8s. This effect does not stack with others of the same attribute.
2-Piece Recommendations include:
- Swing Jazz / Moonlight Lullaby
- Phaethon's Melody
Soukaku's Stat Priority
How you build your Soukaku can depend on the team compositions you play her in. The first goal however should be ensuring you build towards 2500 ATK to cap out Soukaku's passive. Ideally building as much of this as possible through substats.
Soukaku's Skill Priority
Soukaku's most important skills to level are her Core Skill, EX Special Attack and Ultimate.
How to Play Soukaku
The main mechanic for Soukaku is her Vortex stacks. These have a cap of 3 which are shown under her icon in the top left while on-field. Vortex stacks are consumed before or during Fly the Flag to grant buffs for both Soukaku that can be passed around to other members of your party.
You can gain Vortex in the following ways:
- 1 Stack when launching an EX Special Attack.
- 1 Stack from a Chain Attack.
- 3 Stacks from an Ultimate Attack.
- 15% chance of gaining a stack from Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks, Dodge Counters and Quick Assists with Experimental Charging Module (M2).
Launching Fly the Flag increases attack by 500 while consuming Vortex during Fly the Flag doubles the ATK increase to a staggering 1,000. This is then passed along to other members in your party when switching in. When consuming Vortex to activate Fly the Flag, the squad gains a 20% Ice DMG increase. Ultimately, this means Soukaku should be build with ATK to increase the buff she provides to other members of the team.
Soukaku's Best Mindscapes
Soukaku's best Mindscape is Hypothermia (M4). Hypothermia helps to further increase how good she already is at supporting Ice teams while. Outside of M4, Soukaku's Mindscapes do not provide too significant of an upgrade.
