1. Heroes Gazlowe Works Well With

In this section, we will look at the heroes that work particularly well with Gazlowe.

1.1. Falstad, Raynor, Sgt. Hammer, and Valla

Falstad Portrait Raynor Portrait Sgt. Hammer Portrait Valla Portrait

Gazlowe is a peculiar case in regards to synergy; although his Heroic Ability, Grav-O-Bomb 3000 Icon Grav-O-Bomb 3000, works well in conjunction with abilities that can set up for it, Gazlowe is not a particularly desirable ally for anyone. It should be noted that, in general, he does much better with ranged Assassins, which he can protect with Rock-It! Turret Icon Rock-It! Turret and Xplodium Charge Icon Xplodium Charge, than he does with melee Assassins that tend to extend beyond his effective range.

Our abilities section lists many of the abilities that can be used to set up for Grav-O-Bomb 3000.

2. Heroes Gazlowe Is Countered By

In this section, we will look at the heroes that counter Gazlowe particularly well.

2.1. Nova

Nova Portrait Nova's Basic Attacks outrange Rock-It! Turret Icon Rock-It! Turrets. Her Holo Decoy Icon Holo Decoy can also be used to distract them should she opt to directly pick you off instead. With only Deth Lazor Icon Deth Lazor as a poor means of breaking her Permanent Cloak, Sniper Icon Permanent Cloak, Sniper, she can freely wait for a good opportunity to attack you, especially when you are attempting to claim Mercenary Camps.

2.2. Nazeebo

Nazeebo Portrait Just as with Kael'thas, Nazeebo does not need to remain within your effective range to deal his damage. Zombie Wall Icon Zombie Wall can be used to distract your Rock-It! Turret Icon Rock-It! Turret, and may even destroy them with Dead Rush Icon Dead Rush.

2.3. Raynor

Raynor Portrait Similarly to Nova, Raynor outranges your Rock-It! Turret Icon Rock-It! Turret with his Basic Attacks, on top of being able to destroy them very quickly. The movement speed increase provided by Revolution Overdrive Icon Revolution Overdrive, a popular talent, makes him very difficult to hit with either Grav-O-Bomb 3000 Icon Grav-O-Bomb 3000 or Xplodium Charge Icon Xplodium Charge.

2.3.1. How To Play Against these Heroes

As of the current metagame state, none of these Heroes are considered to be high tier material. Our first and foremost advice is to avoid picking Gazlowe against any of these Heroes. Alternatively, you may wish to have your teammates pick them so as to deny them from your opponents.

In general, you need to avoid preemptively placing Rock-It! Turret Icon Rock-It! Turret so that they are not freely picked off. Furthermore, you should remain with an ally at all times. If you are caught alone, Engine Gunk Icon Engine Gunk is typically enough to secure an escape. Turrets can also be used reactively to absorb dangerous skillshots, such as Snipe Icon Snipe, Gravity Lapse Icon Gravity Lapse, or Spirit of Arachyr Icon Spirit of Arachyr.
