General Information

On this page, we give you map strategies for Stitches. Knowing what to do on a map and when to do it is extremely important and can be the deciding factor between losing or winning.

1. Battlefield of Eternity

The High Heavens and the Burning Hells clash, quite literally, in a battlefield that represents their everlasting struggle. Two Immortals, ancient warriors locked in a duel to the death, need your help to prevail against their eternal foe. Vanquish the enemy Immortal, and you'll find yourself charging over hallowed or profane ground—right onto the enemy's doorstep.

Engage in Immortal Combat

Two Immortals fight at the center of the map. Help your Immortal prevail, and lay waste to the enemy's Forts.

Employ Eternal Tactics

Protect your Immortal by obliterating the opposing team, or descend upon the enemy Immortal with relentless fury.

Hire Unique Mercenaries

Bolster your forces with Fallen Shaman and cunning Impalers, who will lend their powers to your cause!

Battlefield of Eternity is a large map of long duration, with only two lanes instead of three. It favours Heroes with sustained healing and damage. The large number of bushes and multiple choke-points puts an emphasis on flanking, making low mobility Heroes more vulnerable.

Although Stitches lacks sustained single-target damage versus the Immortals, Battlefield of Eternity has plenty of vents, paths, chokes, and environmental walls for you to position for a Hook Icon Hook. Since standoffs always occur at one team's Immortal, Hook can be a fantastic tool initiate a fight or catch an enemy Hero alone. Hook can be used to pull enemies into your Immortal's Stuns and Devour Icon Devour can be useful for trying to burst down the enemy Immortal.

2. Blackheart's Bay

The ghost pirate Blackheart has staked his claim upon the realm of Mistharbor. His undead pirate crew has poured onto the streets, claiming the once thriving marketplace as their new den of villainy.

Collect Doubloons

Attack treasure chests, mercenaries, and skeletons to collect doubloons.

Turn in Doubloons

Hand your doubloons over to Blackheart or you will drop them all when you die!

Bombard Your Enemies

After receiving enough doubloons from your team, Blackheart will bombard your enemy's forts!

Blackheart's Bay is a very large map of average duration. It has plenty of Mercenary Camps, Pirate Camps, and large open areas.

The open layout of Blackheart's Bay makes it very easy to predict where enemies are likely to path through. For example, when Tressure Chests spawn, enemy Heroes will take the shortest possible path to the Chests to get there as early as possible, making it easy to Hook Icon Hook an enemy on rotation. You can also Hook them when they are attempting to break the Chest or turn in Coins. Try to control the watchtower whenever possible to maintain vision control, making it easier for you to land a Hook and more difficult for enemies to dodge it.

3. Braxis Holdout

The United Earth Directorate used the remote and hostile planet Braxis to conduct experiments on ways to turn the Zerg swarm into a weapon they could unleash on their enemies. Though the main psi disrupter was destroyed, this space platform's beacons remain fully operational and ready to be used. Capture the beacons and watch what happens when a flood of weaponized Zerg ravages the battlefield.

Capture the Beacons

Periodically two beacons will activate. Capture both to fill your Holding Cell with Zerg.

Fill Holding Cells

Once either Holding Cell fills, both open and unleash waves of Zerg at each team's base.

Zerg Waves

Hold out against the enemy's Zerg while helping yours. The Zerg will attack Heroes, so engage cautiously.

Braxis Holdout is a medium sized map, but it has a lot of tight areas that can become congested during teamfights. This makes it hard for Stitches to have a positive impact, as Hook will have decreased value. It can be difficult to land impactful Hooks that will result in takedowns, especially when the opposing Tank is positioned in the frontline. Warriors with hard crowd control will be even more effective in the close quarters combat, which puts Stitches at a strategic disadvantage on Braxis Holdout.

4. Cursed Hollow

As one of the first and most ancient realms pulled into the Nexus, the realm of Raven Court has grown large and prosperous over the millennia. The province of Cursed Hollow, a gothic landscape of twisting villages and farmlands, serves as an ideal trial grounds for the Heroes of the Storm.

Collect Tributes

The Raven Lord will periodically create tributes. Gather them for your team!

Curse Your Enemies

Upon capturing three tributes, the Raven Lord will curse your enemies.

Cursed Forts and Minions

Cursed forts will not attack, and cursed minions are reduced to 1 health.

Cursed Hollow is a very large map of average duration. It features plenty of choke points, environmental walls, and bushes.

Cursed Hollow is Stitches' best map due to its numerous bushes, predictable paths, environmental walls, and required objectives. Enemy Heroes rushing towards Tribute can be pulled with Hook Icon Hook to stop their rotation or possibly kill them. If the enemy team is defending a Tribute, they will be within a very predictable area, making it easy to pull them.

5. Dragon Shire

These lush and deceptively peaceful gardens have grown over time, covering the once molten realm known as Dragon Spire. Beneath this verdant paradise, the ancient power of the dragons was sealed away... and their descendants have neither forgotten nor forgiven the trespasses of those who wronged them.

Control the Shrines

There are two shrines your team needs to control to activate the Dragon Knight's statue.

Free the Dragon Knight

While activated, bring a hero to the statue to free the Dragon Knight from his prison!

Devastate Enemy Forts

Use the Dragon Knight's immense power to level enemy forts!

Dragon Shire is an average sized map of average duration. It is a very straightforward map.

Stitches does relatively poorly on Dragon Shire during the early game rotations between the middle and bottom lane, but he becomes much more effective as the game progresses. This is because early game rotations benefit from crowd control, which Stitches lacks almost altogether. However, if the enemy team does not contest rotations or the game moves to a later state, Stitches becomes quite effective with Hook Icon Hook, due to excessive bushes and environmental walls. Hooking enemies off of the Shrines can also be quite helpful.

6. Garden of Terror

Once the royal gardens were a splendor to behold. But lately a shadow has fallen over them... Writhing tendrils creep across the grounds at night, and a number of servants have disappeared while walking its twisting paths. Queen Nightshade claims to be unaware of these incidents, but some are beginning to suspect she has gone mad.

Fight the Shamblers

At night, Shamblers will rise from the gardens.

Collect Seeds

Kill the Shamblers and collect seeds for your team.

Control Garden Terror

With 100 seeds, control a garden terror and destroy your enemies!

Garden of Terror is an average sized map of very long duration. It contains the most Mercenary Camps in the game (not including Boss and Pirate Camps).

Garden of Terror can be a good map for Stitches because of the positioning of neutral Garden Terrors. Enemies attempting to defeat the neutral Garden Terrors are very prone to being pulled by Hook Icon Hook over a wall, and because the centre walls are so long, it can be very difficult for enemies to escape after being Hooked. Hook can also be quite useful for pulling enemy Garden Terrors away from your allies or behind walls, delaying it.

7. Infernal Shrines

Demonic corruption threatens the Gardens of Hope. Called forth by the Shrines, Punishers prowl the battlefield, terrifying creatures that live to destroy heroes. Defeat the Shrines' Guardians before your enemies do, and the next Punisher will fight for you; fail, and face the demon's wrath.

Activate the Shrines

The Infernal Shrines periodically gather power. Activate them and prepare for a fight.

Defeat Guardians

Slay 30 Guardians before the enemy team to bring forth a mighty Punisher.

Beware the Punisher

Punishers have one of three devastating powers. Be careful, they focus on attacking heroes above all else.

Infernal Shrines is a large map of short duration. Having good waveclear and strong early game Heroes is key to controlling the Shrines. There are plenty of Mercenary Camps available for capture.

Stitches is able to pressure the Shrines adequately when they become active, but the numerous neutral minions will make it very difficult for you to land Hook Icon Hook. If your team needs to initiate a team around the Shrine, position yourself outside of the minions to make hitting an enemy Hero more likely. Aside from the Shrines, the rest of the map is quite suited for your Hooks, due to the numerous chokes, vents, and environmental walls.

8. Sky Temple

Floating above the vast desert sands of Luxoria, the Sky Temple serves as a center of worship for the snake god, Ka. He stores his great power within the temples, each of them secured by guardians. With such defenses, no warriors would think to seize the god's power for themselves... or would they?

Capture the Temples

Temples will periodically awaken. Stand within their grounds to capture their power!

Hold the Temples

Remain firm and the temple will unleash a blistering onslaught on your enemy's forts!

Defend the Temples

Guardians will try to wrest control of their temples from your team. Hold them off to keep the temple's power for yourselves!

Sky Temple is a large map of short duration. Team fights occur very early into the game, similarly to Haunted Mines, but unlike Haunted Mines, Sky Temple offers an additional lane and more Mercenary Camps.

Sky Temple can be a good map for Stitches, although there are not as many environmental walls as on some of the other maps. Try to maintain control of the Watchtower as much as possible for vision control of the area. This will make it easier to pull enemies with Hook Icon Hook. Once Temples activate and enemies begin contesting objectives, Hook can pick enemies off with easy.

9. Tomb of the Spider Queen

The long forgotten tombs of Luxoria have found a new master. Deep within their timeworn chambers, the Spider Queen Neithis stirs from her ancient slumber. Present her with the gems of power she seeks, and you may just escape with your lives.

Collect Gems

Enemy spider minions and Heroes drop magical gems upon death. Gather as many as you can!

Turn in Gems

Relinquish your gems at one of the Spider Queen's altars or you will drop them all when you die!

Summon Webweavers

Whichever team turns in enough gems first will unleash the Webweavers to destroy their enemy's defenses.

Tomb of the Spider Queen is a small map of average duration. It places more importance on the Hero kills themselves than the objectives, which can be taken when Heroes are dead. There are very few Mercenary Camps.

Similar to Dragon Shire, Stitches does relatively poorly during the early game rotations between lanes, but he becomes much more effective as the game progresses. This is because early game rotations benefit from crowd control, which Stitches lacks almost altogether. Once Structures on both sides are destroyed, better positions will become available to use Hook Icon Hook from.

10. Towers of Doom

The Grave Keeper and the Raven Lord are engaged in a classic battle of evil versus… different evil? Protective magic shields your Core from enemy Heroes, but nothing will save you from these two masters of the dark arts. Hold the Bell Towers, capture the Altars, and unleash your wicked benefactor's power on your enemies.

Protected Cores

Both Cores are protected by a barrier that cannot be attacked by Heroes. To be victorious, you must activate Altars.

Activate Altars

Periodically Altars will rise across the battlefield. Activate them to have your Bell Towers fire upon the enemy's Core.

Claim Bell Towers

Destroy your enemy's Towers to bring them under your team's control. The more Towers you have, the more damage an Altar will do.

Towers of Doom has a unique mechanic where neither Core can be directly accessed by its opposing team. In addition to this, Forts are captured and respawn when destroyed. This gives some extra value to Stitch's Hook, which can be used to pull enemies from map objectives into Forts. This makes Fishing Hook Icon Fishing Hook a great Talent to take on Towers of Doom. Try to position yourself so that you will be able to land Hook on enemies who are channeling Altars, even when you can't pull them into Forts. Not only will this interupt the channel, but it will relocate the enemy so that they cannot restart channeling again immediately.

11. Warhead Junction

Once a testing facility for nuclear weapons, Warhead Junction has since fallen into ruin. However, the site's abandonment hasn't stopped its glitchy adjutant from continuing to produce and hand out nuclear weapons. Join the arms race of Warhead Junction, build up your stockpile, and rain hell on your enemies!

Warhead Deployment

Multiple Warheads will spawn periodically across the battleground.

Collect Warheads

Pick up a Warhead to activate your Nuke. Use it or you will drop it when you die!

Call Down the Thunder

Launch Nukes to devastate the enemy team's fortifications.

Warhead Junction is a large and open battleground which spawns nukes that can be collected. Stitches will be able to land Hooks at many angles because of the wide open terrain. His high Health pool and regenerative abilities can help when fighting for nukes; however, his lack of mobility is a liability when carrying them.
