Best in Slot Gear Guide for Fury Warrior

Welcome to our Fury Warrior Gear and BiS Page for Midnight Pre-Season. Check this page to learn everything you need to know about gearing a Fury Warrior, including the BiS Gear from all sources, Raiding and Mythic+, information on the best Trinkets, Tier Sets, or take a look at the Midnight to learn more about new expansion features.

Generally speaking, item level is the best indicator of power, with higher item level pieces of gear almost always being stronger than ones which are slightly better itemized, though trinkets can be an exception to this rule of thumb due to their varied special effects.

When it comes to gearing, using seasonal crests, weapons, and trinkets should be prioritized first, followed by high budget pieces of armor such as helmets, chestpieces, and legs. To learn more, check out Gear Upgrade System.

For discussion and information on Stats specifically, check out our Stats page below.

Best Trinkets for Fury Warrior in Midnight Pre-Season

3.1.

Best Pre-Season Trinkets for Fury Warrior

Pre-season trinkets are limited by the lack of content available at the start of the expansion, though most of these items will be very quickly replaced with higher item level offerings once the full season begins.

  • Algeth'ar Puzzle Box Icon Algeth'ar Puzzle Box on use is well suited for burst multi-target, best used before the pull to avoid interrupting the rotation with its initial channel.
  • Vessel of Tortured Souls Icon Vessel of Tortured Souls is very strong but somewhat annoying to use due to the need to collect souls individually, making it less practical on encounters with precise or restricted movement.
  • Solarflare Prism Icon Solarflare Prism is a random Critical Strike buff, with a largely inconsequential bonus based on missing health.
3.2.

Good Alternative Single Target Trinkets

  • Heart of Wind Icon Heart of Wind another random proc, granting Haste for a short amount of time.
  • Latch's Crooked Hook Icon Latch's Crooked Hook on use and best used strictly on cooldown since it does not benefit from any class effects.
  • Mark of Light deals direct single target damage after several applications.
4.

"Simming" Yourself as a Fury Warrior

Throughout this page, we regularly refer to the importance of simming yourself on Raidbots, as it is an indispensable aspect of optimizing your character.

When using generic sim charts for Trinkets, this should not be a replacement for simming yourself, at least not if you want to min-max sub-1%!

If you are new to simming and Raidbots, check out our detailed guide below.

5.

Best Crafted Items for Fury Warrior

High end crafting will not be available until the season formally begins, though it is projected that the Spellbreaker's Bracers Icon Spellbreaker's Bracers and Adherent's Silken Shroud Icon Adherent's Silken Shroud will be the best crafts, both embellished with Primal Spore Binding Icon Primal Spore Binding.

  • Fury Warriors should generally craft Haste/Mastery onto their gear. While stat weights may change depending on what gear you currently have available, it is easier to gear around your crafts than to continually re-craft your gear.

For help with crafting these powerful items, check out our professions overview.

5.1.

Best Embellishments and Crafting Order for Fury Warrior

Note that it is highly recommended not to craft anything until it is felt as though it is needed, generally right before you head into serious raid or Mythic+ progression. The longer you can wait with crafting, the better information you, and this guide, will have on the best Crafts. Crafting early and then having the recommendation change due to unexpected tuning is always a possibility, and the goal should be to avoid this happening as much as possible.

  1. Spellbreaker's Bracers Icon Spellbreaker's Bracers — is the best general craft and embellishment.
  2. Adherent's Silken Shroud Icon Adherent's Silken Shroud — doubling up on the same bonus.
  3. Next, fill low-item level holes in your gear, preferring weapons or pieces of gear you are not likely to replace quickly.
  4. At this point, you are mostly done crafting. You can spend future Sparks on off-spec items, alternatively statted crafts for different situations, and so on.
6.

Best Gear Upgrades for Fury Warrior

Most end-game pieces of gear can be upgraded using various Crest currencies, allowing players to increase the power level of their items beyond the initial drop. Once an item has been upgraded, all other items in the same slot will be free to upgrade to the same item level, encouraging players to experiment with differently itemized pieces of gear, tertiary stats, and the like.

Since Crests are a limited resource, you will want to obtain the highest item-level possible before upgrading a given slot, as this means you will spend fewer Crests on that slot in total.

We see many players, even at a high level, confuse upgrade priorities, and upgrading prematurely. Being diligent about which items to upgrade will help use your resources more efficiently, ensuring the best return on investment.

Below is the general slot priority for upgrading items. If you ever want to deviate from this, you should have a very good reason.

  1. Weapons
  2. Trinkets
  3. Helm/Chest/Legs
  4. Rings and Necks
  5. Shoulders/Gloves/Belt/Boots
  6. Cloaks and Bracers

Note that exceptions are possible, such as special items that have more Item Level scaling than their slot would imply.
