Scholar Job Changes and Updates — Dawntrail 7.0

As of the media tour build, the only changes to Scholar's pre-Dawntrail spells and abilities are as follows:

Scholar receives several new spells and abilities on the road to level 100, including an upgraded version of Succor and a powerful AoE DoT that can be used after Chain Stratagem. Its new capstone ability, Seraphism, changes your appearance for its duration, applies a party-wide regen, and provides access to powerful new healing spells.

Can only be executed while a faerie is summoned and you are in combat.

When critical HP is restored, also grants Catalyze, nullifying damage equaling 180% of the amount of HP restored. Duration: 30s Effect cannot be stacked with certain Sage barrier effects. Can only be executed while under the effect of Seraphism. Note: Cast time is instant.

Cure Potency: 240 Additional Effect: Grants Galvanize to target, nullifying damage equaling 180% of the amount of HP restored. Scholar receives several new traits on the way to level 100, enhancing some existing spells and abilities and providing some quality of life improvements.

Very little has changed about Scholar's opener or rotation except the addition of Baneful Impaction to every Chain Stratagem window. With raid buffs lasting longer, it is now also usually worth it to refresh Biolysis early as the last GCD under raid buffs.

Scholar has received a several adjustments throughout the Endwalker patch cycle, mostly aimed at improving usability through range increases, MP cost reductions, and quality of life adjustments.

In Endwalker, Scholar receives some much needed quality-of-life adjustments. The fairy actions are now much more responsive, and shielding is now almost instantaneous. Its capstone action may not seem like much, but it provides essential mitigation and speed to help your party members in critical situations.

1. Ruin potency changed from 160 to 150, and cast time changed from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
2. Physick cure potency changed from 400 to 450.
3. Summon Eos cast time changed from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
4. Summon Selene cast time changed from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
5. Adloquium's barrier effect amount has been changed from nullifying damage equaling 125% to 180%. Additionally, the effect cannot be stacked with certain sage barrier effects.
6. Succor's barrier effect amount has been changed from nullifying damage equaling 125% to 160%. Additionally, the effect cannot be stacked with certain sage barrier effects.
7. Ruin II potency changed from 200 to 220.
8. Art of War potency changed from 160 to 165, and MP cost changed from 600 to 400.
9. Broil potency changed from 240 to 220, and cast time changed from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
10. Broil II potency changed from 260 to 240, and cast time changed from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
11. Broil III potency changed from 290 to 255, and cast time changed from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.

1. Whispering Dawn cure potency changed from 120 to 80.
2. Aetherflow's MP regeneration amount changed from 10% of maximum MP to 20% of maximum MP.
3. Energy Drain no longer restores MP. Its recast time was also changed from 3 seconds 1 second.
4. Deployment Tactics area range changed from 10 to 15, and recast time changed from 120 seconds to 90 seconds.
5. Fey Blessing cure potency changed from 350 to 320.
6. Summon Seraph added "action changes to Consolation upon execution."
7. Consolation cure potency changed from 300 to 250.

1. Protraction increases maximum HP of a party member or self by 10% and restores the amount increased. It also increases HP recovery via healing actions by 10% for 10 seconds.
2. Expedient grants Expedience and Desperate Measures to all nearby party members. Expedience increases movement speed, and Desperate Measures reduces damage taken by 10%.

1. Embrace cure potency changed from 150 to 180.
2. Whispering Dawn cure potency changed from 120 to 80.
3. Fey Union cure potency changed from 400 to 300.
4. Fey Blessing cure potency changed from 350 to 320.
5. Seraphic Veil cure potency changed from 200 to 180.
6. Angel's Whisper cure potency changed from 120 to 80.
7. Consolation cure potency changed from 300 to 250.

Sic was the only Scholar action removed in Patch 6.0.

1. Broil Mastery now upgrades Ruin to Broil and increases the potency of Ruin II to 160, and Art of War to 165.

1. Broil Mastery IV upgrades Broil III to Broil IV and increases the potency of Ruin II to 220.
2. Art of War Mastery upgrades Art of War to Art of War II.
3. Enhanced Healing Magic increases the healing potency of all global cooldown healing spells. This also increases the barrier potency of Adloquium to 180% the amount healed and Succor to 160% the amount healed.
4. Enhanced Deployment Tactics reduces Deployment Tactics recast time to 90 seconds.
