Scholar Healer Gear and Best in Slot — Endwalker 6.4
On this page, you will find the best gear and best-in-slot items for your Scholar Healer in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker (Patch 6.4).
Scholar Gearsets (BiS)
This section covers endgame Savage gear sets for Scholar. The main difference between most of these sets is mana economy. As mana economy gets tighter, DPS gets higher. Be sure to read the description of each and choose one that meets the needs of your own ability and group situation. If you are interested in seeing DPS and mana uptime comparisons, take a look at the Scholar Gear Calculator.
If you are currently gearing up your Scholar, you can find more information about the stat priorities and effects in our guide's melding section.
Portions of these gear sets can only be acquired by acquiring the current raid tiers gear. A guide for the content can be found links below.
Patch 6.4 Savage Gearsets
Patch 6.2 Savage Gearsets
Mid Piety Set 2.40
This set is a good all around choice for those who need to deal with unoptimized environments such as Party Finder. 2.40 gives it good Chain alignment, but poor Bio alignment.
Low Piety Set 2.40
Be careful using this in unoptimized environments. A very solid set only a bit behind the true BiS sets. Has a bit of extra mp economy to make reclears a bit comfier. 2.40 gives perfect Chain alignment, but poor Bio alignment.
Min Piety DH BiS 2.40 (Penta Crafted Ring)
Do not use this in unoptimized environments. This set has slightly lower average damage than the SpS BiS but is less ping sensitive and had better MP economy due to a slower GCD. 2.40 gives perfect Chain alignment, but poor Bio alignment.
Min Piety DH BiS 2.40 (Aug Crafted Ring Alternative)
Do not use this in unoptimized environments. An alternative to the prior set that doesn't require pentamelding a ring. It tiers slightly worse, so I would not recommend this set if you already have your ring pentamelded.
Min Piety SpS BiS 2.31 (Penta Crafted Ring)
Do not use this in unoptimized environments. This set has the highest average damage of the two BiS sets and is the more consistent one. It has very dangerous MP economy due to the fast GCD and min Piety. 2.31 gives it good Chain and Bio alignment.
Min Piety SpS BiS 2.31 (Aug Crafted Ring Alternative)
Do not use this in unoptimized environments. An alternative to the prior set that doesn't require pentamelding a ring. Functionally equivalent to the pentamelded option, so I wouldn't upgrade a pentamelded ring for this yet. This may change once we get access to the weapon from The Omega Protocol.
Patch 6.3 Dragonsong's Reprise Gearsets
As of Patch 6.3, dungeon gear from Lapis Manalis Full Guide may be used without the penalty of losing melds, since the gear dropped from the instance is i605. Below is the best option set compiled using a mix of Asphodelos and dungeon gear.
Dragonsong's Reprise Prog Set
Uses the Manderville Relic weapon, but can be swapped out for the Asphodelos weapon easily enough.
Dragonsong's Reprise Best-in-Slot
Requires an initial clear of the encounter since it utilizes an Ultimate weapon from the fight.
