Timewalking Dungeons

Recommended Posts

Gear scale accordingly in Timewalking dungeons to the item level of the expansion, so I was wondering if I used the inv_weapon_glave_01.jpgWarglaive of Azzinoth in BC expansions and inv_axe_113.jpgShadowmourne in WotlK dungeons, will it be better than current gear?

If I went back to BC and WotlK dungeons to farm gear, that the gear I get there won't be scaled down and will become BiS gear.

If this is true, does anyone have the BiS lists for BC and WotlK?

Also, if I use stave_2h_tarecgosa_e_01stagefinal.jpgDragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest in BC and WotlK dungeons, will it also be OP?

They only scale down, not up. So Warglaives would be useless in WotLK+, Shadowmourne in Cata+, and Dragonwrath in MoP+. But you could use Dragonwrath in BC or WotLK and have it own face.

From what I've seen the weapon damage is being scaled to roughly (with in a few DPS) of current weapons scaled down, at least that is what it was doing for me and my bow. The PROC from the old weapons is what is OP. If you're a hunter, you're screwed since the proc was free ammo...a proc that was made useless when ammo was removed.

The other procs though are very good.

For farming the gear...I don't know if it will do much good. I think it is all fairly normalized. Even if the gear from then WAS BiS for Timewalking, Timewalking is so easy I don't see it doing any good. But if you want to try it out, go for it.

I know this is a necro thread, but it was on the first page of a google search concerning Timewalking BiS.

While it is correct that they do not scale up, it is incorrect to say they are useless, at least for Shadowmourne.  Shadowmourne is still BiS for Cata TW because of the sockets, procs, and the ilvl that cata TW is scaled down to.  It is slightly lower ilvl, and as such, DPS stat on the weapon, but its other features still make it BiS.

No idea for Glaives, and the other examples don't apply as there are no MoP TW (yet) and the stat squish didn't effect its content.

Hi guy's just a quick question about Chromie Time related to dungeons.
I was having some trouble with a Burning Crusade quest in nether storm (one of those 5 player quests that was never retooled)
the wowhead comments suggeste a workaround by temporarily going back to the normal timeline (i.e. going out of chromie time and into the bfa time period) which would result in everything pre-bfa returning to unscaled levels (i.e. top level of 30 for outland)
i did and it worked. i was able to oneshot the boss. then i headed back to stormwind to get back into buring crusade timewalking.
as i was flying up to netherstorm from shatrath to do the quest, i wondered if the pre-bfa dungeons would be affected the same way as the normal zones.
rant over. time for the actual question.
if i were to go out of chromie time and back to the normal timeline in BFA. would the pre-bfa dungeons go back to their normal levels when i walk in? or would the dungeons still scale with me?

Does anyone have issue where a ton of versatility gear is dropping?
In the effort to increase my item level, so I can do heroics (i know I'm late to the game), all the higher level gear that drops has versatility, do BM hunters need versatility now or is this just bad luck?

Hi, Im having shoulders with 925 ilevel, mastery and verstality, but also I do have shoulders 915 ilevel, haste and avoidance.

Whats better, lower item level but with best stats (haste/avoidance), or higher item level but with mastery and versa ??

In overall, is it better to aim for "best" stats or just push item level first?

So, I'm currently maining Blood DK and that's the spec that I've gotten my 4 legends on. I do occasionally use UH and was wondering which of my legends would be most effective for it. Just a foreword, all of the gear that the legends replace is about equal; all 915-920 and don't cause any major stat changes so its not like using one legend over another causes me to use a bad piece. I have Soul of the Deathlord, which is the one I use most on UH, and I have  Shackles of Bryndaor, Archimonde's Hatred Reborn, and Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus. Does the Shackles passive work on UH, if so, could that be a better boost for Val'kyr[Dark Arbiter Talent] (b/c you can cycle more RP)? Other than that I'm just wondering which out weighs the other, STR or the secondaries?
Edit: and just in case it makes a difference, my talent build is; http://www.wowhead.com/talent-calc/death-knight/unholy/c75z
