hearthstone Hearthstone: Ranked Player Spotlight and Hobgoblin Zoo Deck From Rank One Legend: Tripp

Blizzard's Ranked Player Spotlight for March is tripp. As mentioned in our ranked play article, tripp has not had a top 100 previously and was a previously unknown player.

Blizzard's spotlight interview is an amusing one. He is only sixteen years old, continuing the trend of young players performing exceedingly well in recent months. Fourteen year old Ishaan was the player interviewed last month for claiming the top spot, and of course fifteen year old Amnesiac claimed the Americas Winter Championship.

Tripp claims to explore dank memes for a living, and his name is a combination of Trump and  Kripp. He does not currently play tournaments, but is going to try to play some opens, and hopes to attend the Spring Preliminary based on the points he got for this finish. He achieved the Rank One Legend spot using a Hobgoblin Zoo deck, created by bearnugget. Despite not streaming, his Twitch username is tidesoftime7. From my own experiences, I can confirm that he is indeed a dank memer.

The interview is well worth a read, and should put a smile on the face of any Twitch regular. I have included the decklist below.

Year of the Mammoth Arena Guide now available!
Our Arena Guide has been updated by Pesty, to fully reflect the format for The Year of the Mammoth.
As well as the new tier list for classes, the guide addresses each class in detail, so that you can get the most out of your Arena draft. It also discusses which Mana curves work well with which class, and how to pick on your opponents' likely weaknesses.
The new Tier List is shown below:
Tier 1 (Excellent): Mage, Rogue Tier 2 (Great): Paladin, Hunter Tier 3 (Good): Druid, Priest, Shaman, Warlock, Tier 4 (Average): Warrior For any feedback or questions about this guide, check out our Hearthstone General Discussion Forum, or comment in this thread.

The 97th Tavern Brawl is called 'An Ancient Recipe' and it offers players the chance to try out Journey to Un'Goro decks.
The rules of this Brawl are simple: you choose a hero and you get a premade deck with the Un'Goro deck recipe for that class. The deck archetypes are the following and we even have guides for most of them:
Quest Druid Dinomancer Hunter Elemental Mage (guide for almost identical deck here) Quest Paladin Quest Priest Quest Rogue Elemental Shaman Quest Warlock Quest Warrior All deck recipes have pretty good winning chances. This is a nice chance to play with cards you don't own and get to know the new Hearthstone expansion better.
