Game 5 of the Hearthstone World Championship Finals featured the most controversial mulligan decision in Hearthstone history. Who was correct - Fr0zen, or Tom60229? We take an in-depth look at the numbers behind this hotly debated decision.

It's the Hearthstone World Championships. Grand finals. Game 5.

There doesn't exist a more high pressure Hearthstone situation than this. The winner of this one game will be crowned world champion.

It's a Jade Druid mirror match. Tom60229, on the play, keeps Ultimate Infestation in his opening hand with no ramp spells. Fr0zen, on The Coin (the better spot to keep an Ultimate Infestation from) mulligans the card away. This mulligan decision ended up deciding the game, and consequently, the entire world championship.

Tom's decision to keep Ultimate Infestation has been hotly debated by the Hearthstone community over the past few weeks, with a seemingly equal number of people coming down on each side of the debate. Some argue that Tom was too greedy and got lucky to immediately draw into his ramp spells, while others argue that Ultimate Infestation was too important to Tom's gameplan not to keep in his opener.

Who was correct? I take an in-depth look at the numbers behind this all-important game 5 mulligan decision, and offer my final verdict as to which player made the correct call.

UI is the kind of card you want to play at turn 10, if game state permits. If you don't own ramp card, you will draw them, eventually. If you mulligan a card away, you hope to find a better card, so you should mulligan a card ONLY if you have enough % of drawing a better one. Now, what card is better then UI in ramp druid?

Obviously, this is true against control, not against aggro...
