What's the Move? Episode #60229

Aleco wraps his series on the Hearthstone World Championships by breaking down one of Tom's most brilliant plays from his championship-winning run.

For my final episode on the HCT World Championships I wanted to revisit our champion, Tom60229, and one of the most brilliant plays he made on his run in Amsterdam. There were quite a few to choose from, but I ultimately settled on a play he made against Surrender during game one of the semifinals:

Be honest... would you have made the same play as Tom60229? I wouldn't have!

With the World Championships now behind us, it's time to move on to the many new and exciting plays which have happened since the major balance patch hit Hearthstone in early February. If you've encountered any nifty plays or tricky situations in the past few weeks I'd love to see to them! Feel free to send me a message here on Icy Veins, or to spark up a conversation with me over on Twitter, and I look forward to reading all of your submissions.

That was the move I came up with, mainly because I didn't want patches + swash or patches + SI to trade into the tyrant cleanly.  However, if I was actually playing the game, and not analyzing the turn, I would have plopped the arcane tyrant down and probably face tanked the captain, with the intent of spell stone + golem + hero power next turn.

Nice. I plonked down the tyrant and killed the 2/2 to protect it from patches. Ah well, I can live with misplaying Jade Druid hehe.
