BlizzCon Schedule Is Live, Hints at Diablo Announcement?

Recommended Posts

Blizzard have finally announced the full schedule for all the panels, competitions, tournaments and events that will be shown at BlizzCon on November 2nd through the 4th! Obviously the opening ceremonies are the main focus, just in case we get some brand new announcements (gogo Diablo 4), and among the many "What's Next" panels and World Championship tournaments for the various games we have a Diablo: World and Q&A panel in addition to a what's next one (and we really, REALLY want an answer to that question for the Diablo franchise). Also of note is the Lorecraft: Creating Memorable Characters and BfA Cinematics panels, where we might get some more discussion on the disappointment some players are feeling in the story/character development in WoW.

In any case, there's a lot going on this year, and with the Virtual Ticket including access to the WoW Classic demo, as well as faction cloaks for WoW characters and a lot more, it seems there will be many viewers, among which many excited Diablo fans are just waiting to be disappointed.

Here's the full schedule for each day.

Friday, November 2nd:

Saturday, November 3rd:

Sunday, November 4th:

So, on a scale of 1 to (D) 4, how likely do you think a Diablo announcement is and how ecited would you be if there was one?

It's the same old Diablo 3 you know and love now with your beloved Battle Royale mode coming to your iOS or Android device early next year!

That's....grim. And probably accurate ?

All Joking aside if the Diablo Announcement is anything less then Diablo 4 or at the very least the addition of the Druid Class they have been hinting at for a year now, then the announcement might as well be that Diablo is now dead and will no longer be supported beyond the endless repeated seasons that feature the same exact shit every 3-5 months.

I mean if Activision managed to get Bungie to do shit like that Blizzard can't be far off, yea.

"What's next" is a standard panel for all current games. If there is any major announcement, it's always during opening ceremony.

Could you imagine the shit storm of them just announcing the upcoming Netflix series, and nothing else. OMG that would be funny! I mean, it would suck, but funny!

Double announcement.

1) Druid DLC with a few new Adventure Mode/Rift only zones and a new boss. Expect new areas to be in northeastern Act II/III to correspond with lore indicating the split between Bul-Kathos and Fiacla-Géar on how best to protect the Worldstone and the map location of Scosglen in relation to the Dreadlands and Kehjistan. Will go live one week before S16, a few days after S15 ends, and the reason for only a one week break between S14 and S15, so that this goes on sale just before Christmas.

2) Diablo 4 projected release date and teaser trailer.

Yes, but the fact that there are two Diablo panels indicates thre might be an announcement at the opening ceremony. With the state the game is in right now there is NO way (imo anyway) to support two whole panels. I mean wtf are they going to talk about, the next seasonal gimmick that will be bugged and not work for a few days?

I heard Blizzard is teaming up with GamesWorkshop to make a new Black Templars Action RPG based on Diablo games.

Don't even joke about that. DO NOT. Also Inquisitor: Martyr is already a thing.

I'd kill for a D4 teaser tbh. To even know they have ANY plans on it whatsoever. Even a logo.

Remember a couple of years ago when they did the "What's next" for Diablo, and the only thing they talked about was the amount of updates and patches that were included in the game? Yea. I figure it's going to be just like. Except they will talk about "themed" seasons and the Necro. Regarding to the final project, I am willing to place my bet on the Druid class.

Whatever the case, my expectations have been lowered year after year so even if they don't announce anything big I won't be disappointed either way.

Worst case, they will talk about stuff like animated series and (maybe) D2 remaster? Anyway, it's better to not expect too much and then be pleasantly surprised. We don't know if it's even D4, perhaps a different genre or D2 remaster/remake.

Yeah, it looks pretty clunky. Don't know why they cal it Inquisitor.

More of a Black Templar style suicidal face smash gameplay.

An Inquisitior style game should not look like a Diablo game.

I'm taking a guess here: D1 or 2 remastered, since we already got an SC1 remaster.

I wouldn't bet on D1 being remastered, much as I love the idea. They've already (possibly?) shot down War1 and War2 re-releases on the basis of them "not being fun anymore," and I feel like D1 is probably held in the same regard. Chances are they're convinced the "Darkening of Tristram" D3 event is a viable alternative... which is unfortunate.

We're 2 hours away from this year's opening ceremony at BlizzCon and the community is already guessing what will be announced today, so we're taking a look at some bingo cards for the event!
      Bingo Card 1
The first bingo card talks about Thrall, Metzen, and of course "Storm" in the expansion name. Interestingly, it mentions Path of the Titans, a feature that was planned for Cataclysm but ultimately abandoned.

      Bingo Card 2
The second bingo card includes guesses like Dragonriding everywhere, WoW on game pass, and more.

      Bingo Card 3
The third bingo card boldly mentions a new expansion for Diablo 4!

      Bingo Card 4
The fourth bingo card includes guesses like Cataclysm Classic, Classic+, no Patch 10.3, and more.
