Random Corruption Ranges Will Be Static on 8.3 PTR

Recommended Posts

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas confirmed in a tweet earlier today that the +Corruption stat associated with Corrupted items coming in Patch 8.3 will no longer have ranges.

Corrupted items are the alternative to Warforging and Titanforging in Patch 8.3. The items come with a +Corruption stat which grants you side effects. In the current iteration, the +Corruption stat can come in three tiers. Corrupted items also come with random Benthic-like effects and you can find them all here.

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas today said that random ranges for Corruption would just cause frustration and they will be changed into static in the next PTR update.

I hope that corruption improvements in the next build include getting rid of the ranges, otherwise critics will eventually wise up and see this as the real layered RNG component.

Yep, agreed that having random ranges for those values will just be a source of frustration. These will be static values in the next PTR update. We got in a pretty rough version of the system just to start getting early feedback; lots and lots of iteration to follow.

Imagine them adding a feature where you can collect badges from emissary,m+,raid, pvp and reforge the corruption affixes into what you want. You would still have the RNG blizzard likes so much on the first drop and then you have what majority of players wants. A progression system that is not 100% reliant on luck.

so its still rng to get the item corrupted then rng x3 which tier it rolls . while better than the random rolls on corruption still way worse . so one of 2 thing will happen either very few get top tier rolls and it ends up basicly being titanforge all over again super rare . or option to the make them drop like crazy then it devalues the meaning of any of it at all and still same issue  . they would have been better off  just removing WF , TF and call it a day .

We've looked at the Mythic+ Tier List for the first time in Patch 10.2.6!
      DISCLAIMER
The following post is based on data from U.GG. Therefore, the data presented here may differ from Petko's Mythic Tier Lists maintained on our site.

The tier list of each spec is determined by its effectiveness and prevalence at the highest levels of Mythic+ play.

Dragonflight Season 4 adds a new world quest for Spark of Awakening.
To get your Spark of Awakening, you must complete a different quest every week.
The weekly quest is available from Therazal in central Valdrakken. There are 3 options, but only one is active every week, similar to how Awakened raids rotate.

      Dragon Isles Quest
Participate in a Community Feast Participate in a Hunt Lay siege to Dragonbane Keep Zaralek Cavern Quest
Protect the Researchers Under Fire Loot a Secured Shipment (Suffusion Camp) Complete a Time Rift Amirdrassil Quest
Earn 50 Bloom during the Superbloom Complete a Superbloom Plant 3 Dreamseeds Quest Rewards
Completing any of the 3 quests above grants the Season 4 spark fragment (Splintered Spark of Awakening) via Weekly Awakened Activity and a Cache of Awakened Storms.
You will need two Splintered Spark of Awakening and 250 Flightstones to create one Spark of Awakening.

You will find Squirt in the Garrison Menagerie, but you will need a Level 3 Garrison. Use your Garrison Hearthstone toy to get to your WoD Garrison.
You can combine this week's event buff, Sign of the Critter, with other items like Safari Hat toy and pet treats (Lesser Pet Treat / Pet Treat) for even more XP bonus, which results in your pets reaching max level in just 2 battles!

Today's hotfixes are still very Plunderstorm-heavy, but we do get fixes for more achievement-related mount issues and PvP catch-up, in addition to the limited time event's adjustments.
      March 27 (Source)
      Achievements
Fixed bugs causing mounts related to A World Awoken to be unavailable, including Bestowed Ottuk Vanguard, Bestowed Trawling Mammoth, Bestowed Thunderspine Packleader, Bestowed Sandskimmer, Bestowed Ohuna Spotter, Coralscale Salamanther, Stormtouched Bruffalon, and Taivan. Player versus Player
Fixed an issue that prevented Splintered Sparks of Dreams from dropping from PvP sources while eligible for catch-up. Plunderstorm
The Storm’s fury swells! Lightning strikes during the final stage of the Storm are faster and more dangerous than before. There is now a delay of 20 seconds after being revived where players no longer drop collected Plunder. Additional enemies now spawn at Witherbark Village, the wild area northeast of Go’Shek Farm, and the wild area between Witherbark Village and Boulderfist Hall. Fixed an issue where swapping back to default sword and gun appearances were not saving correctly. Fixed an issue so that now, picking up an additional rank 2 spell while the same rank 2 spell is equipped properly grants the rank 4 version of the spell. The Captain’s Orders quest “X Marks the Spot” now requires 1 item to be picked up (was 2 items).
