Sepulcher of the First Ones Heroic DPS, Tank and Healer Log Rankings, Week 8

Recommended Posts

We've skipped a week as the Dragonflight announcement took over, but it's just as well since we were waiting for the fallout of the Survival and Destruction tuning to come in anyway. The AoE changes didn't really have much of an effect, with Destro dropping a little in Heroic, but bursting ahead in Mythic, and Survival, well, it's back on top! We're also taking a look at the tanks and healers today, with some major changes coming in there.

95th Percentile

We have another takeover at the top, as Survival takes over from Frost DK and Demonology stays cozy in its No.3 spot. Destruction does go down a few spots as Enhancement jumps in just behind Marksmanship to close out the top 5, and Balance also bumps Destro down one. Havoc and Frost Mage seem to have teamed up as they move 3 spots up and finish off the top 10, with Retribution sticking in there and only dropping off into 11th. The bottom side of things sees the same 3 specs in the same order, but Windwalkers are joining in just above.

All Percentiles

The generalist bracket has the same top 3 as the above, with Enhancement dropping down 1 and Demo claiming its place, but Shadow is the big mover at the top, snagging the final top 5 spot. Retribution is actually going up here, starting from the same 10th place last week and rising one, pushing Subtlety down.

Tank DPS and Healer HPS

It's been a while since we checked in with the tanks and healers, and it's been quite a change for Vengeance as the patch has progressed, especially once double legendaries hit. Previously in 2nd place they are now dead-last and by a solid margin, as Blood DK swaps spots with them. The rest remains the same with Paladin at the top, but do remember these are just the tanks' DPS numbers.

Healers have also had an upheaval since the patch started, as Holy Priest is no longer the top dog it has been for a long time, with Resto taking over and the Monks weaving their way into 2nd. Discipline has also slightly moved ahead of Holy Palas, but the two specs are really close with Shamans looking down on them.

Mythic is looking more wild than ever, as the Destro nerfs just pushed them further ahead! Survival pushed up here as well, moving Demonology down into 3rd, as Frost DKs make their way up here as well. Elemental remain in the top 5 and we see more and more similarities between Mythic and heroic, with Marksmanship and Retribution moving up quite a bit.

Another week has gone by in Mythic+ and we have plenty of changes, as Shamans surge, Retribution does well and more. This week's tuning hasn0t affected the rankings yet, but we'll see what happens next week!
Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      This past week was:
      Fortified, Afflicted, Raging
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
You just can't keep Fire down no matter what you do. While the top 2 remains the same, the Mage spec claws back up into 3rd after having gone down for a little while. The Shamans have united and are stronger together apparently, as they take over 5th and 6th, with Enhancement leading the way. The biggest mover this past week was definitely Retribution, as it gains 5 spots in 7th. Fury drops down 3 spots into 8th, just ahead of a very stable Havoc and a resurgent Survival, which leaps 5 up into 10th. Unholy joins Affliction and Assassination in the bottom 3.

The top 3 is more stable in the generalist bracket, but Fire also rises here, moving quite a bit more, 3 spots in fact. Enhancement is doing better here as well and Elemental is doing even more so, with the melee side of Shamans up 2 in 5th and the spellcaster up a giant 7 spots in 9th! Retribution is up here as well and Fury is down, Windwalker moves down as well and Havoc remains the rock of both rankings, anchoring it all in 10th here.

There's been quite the re-shuffle with tanks as we see Paladins on top and Brewmasters way down in 4th after being in the lead at the start of the season. Vengeance has also moved quite a bit up into 2nd, while Blood remains stable in 3rd and Druids and Warriors remain at the bottom.

Shamans reign supreme still, while Discipline takes over 2nd and Holy also rises one into 3rd. Preservation is down two, while the bottom 3 remain the same as at the start of the season.

Pattie's Cap is a new Alpaca mount coming in Patch 10.1.5.
The mount is rewarded upon earning the Whodunnit? achievement in Patch 10.1.5. The achievement references a new holiday called Secrets of Azeroth. We'll cover that in a separate post soon.
Provisionist Kathos encountered Pattie on her first assignment to Vol'dun. Pattie developed an affinity to Provisionist work but is eager to delve deeper, helping adventurers in their sleuthing.

As with other megadungeons, Dawn of the Infinite will be separated into two wings with Mythic+ and Heroic difficulty available in a future update to the game.
This will probably occur at around Season 3 when a new dungeon rotation's added.
The latest Patch 10.1.5 Build 49908 adds entries of two separate wings for the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon, which means it will be enabled for Mythic+ in the future with Heroic difficulty available:
Dawn of the Infinite: Galakrond's Fall - The infinite dragonflight has invaded the Bronze Temple. Help Nozdormu and Chromie take back the Timeways! Dawn of the Infinite: Murozond's Rise - Murozond rises. Race against time with Chromie to correct the past!
