Where is the level 15 Drain Soul talent of which you speak. An updated guide would be great. Not everyone has made it to end game and questing is still a viable option for some.

It's a level 100 talent, as it is listed in the guide? Where are you seeing a mention for it at level 60?

Blainie, I think the point of that person's comment was that the talent doesn't exist in game any more, not about the specific level of the talent. I'm looking at my game right now trying to get my warlock set up for leveling to 110 and the page specifically dedicated for that is way out of date, it's embarrassing. I get that it can take time to set things up with the right players who have the proper authority in the topic but Legion has been out for a good long time now, you'd think that the page would've been updated a month after the release of the expansion. Just my two cents anyways

I don't see anything out of date. Siphon Life is a level 100 talent for Affliction, as Sawzorthn mentioned, so I'm not really seeing any conflict. On the other hand, you're right that the leveling guides are no longer being continually updated, for the very reason you mentioned; Legion has been out for a good long time now. Everything within the leveling guides is still applicable, and will be kept that way, but the influx of people leveling in tandem is long past.

I stand corrected then. The discrepancy would then be on my end, I am using a Demonology warlock, not the Affliction spec and this is basically my first warlock character so I have little knowledge about the topic. Thank you to everyone that corrected my failing, I do believe I was a somewhat over reactive in my reply and made too many assumptions without doing proper research into the topic. I'll take another look at the guide and glean what I can from it to use in leveling my character, thank you :)

The guides were mainly written when targeting Artifact Power into a certain weapon, as well as speed of leveling, was the main focus. With the whole advent of artifact knowledge being account-wide, it means the focus on Affliction doesn't really matter as much, so going as Demo will be no issue :)

It depends normally, but for Warlock, Affliction is absolutely brilliant this tier. The other specs can compete on very specific fights (Destro on Hounds, Kin, Vari and Argus - Demo on Vari), but Affliction will be your go-to. It can top meters on every fight and is the best spec to play in M+.
