Save Some Time and Skip Timewalking Event This Week

Recommended Posts

This week's Timewalking bonus event is not worth it. The weekly quest does not offer any rewards and Timewalking dungeons do not count toward Great Vault yet.

I know some time has passed since Tuesday, but for those of you who will be playing over the weekend, here's why you may consider skipping this week's Timewalking event.

A) You won't receive any rewards from the weekly quest, since Season 3 has not started yet.

B) The Great Vault next week still offers Season 2 gear and running Timewalking dungeons won't give you any progress in the Dungeons category.

C) The gear from Timewalking dungeons currently is Season 2 Adventurer gear with Item Level 389 and you will get farm better gear from Dreamsurges, Time Rifts, or Superblooms and Emerald Dream activities.

Emerald Dream Adventurer gear starts at Item Level 428, so instead of bothering with WoD Timewalking, focus on everything tied to Emerald Dream.

This has been hotfixed yesterday afternoon and posted on last night hotfixes. The quest rewards ilvl 415 gear from Aberrus, most likely not upgradable.

Yeah, I didn't pick the quest up until last night and the cache was there in the quest text as it should be.

Not everyone is running the race and trying to keep up. I have plenty of alts that are well behind in gear, making the reward viable for them. Assuming that everyone is on the same level of progression, or even cares that much, is pretty shallow thinking.

you can literally buy a full set of 421/424 gear on the AH for a very reasonable price, there is no reason to pine after 415 gear.

There's a big difference between enjoying running some content and getting gear as a result and just throwing down gold for gear. What's the point of playing at all if you just buy everything? Might as well login, buy all the gear with gold purchased from gold farmers, and call it a day. Some people prefer to actually play the game and many do so on their own schedule and not that of wannabe progression players.

it's a stretch to call TW "content" it's beyond mindless and has literally just become a mill for leveling and early season loot farming. the point of gear is to allow you to do more on a given character, raids, keys, even higher end old content for farming.

It's all content, being TW doesn't make it less so.

This defines the entirety of WoW. The "early season" aside, the game is nothing but loot farming.

Okay, and? I don't believe I said contrary to this. Another "point of gear" is to display your achievement in game, at least it once was, but now there are a myriad of ways to get gear that don't require much effort or skill at all. So what is left but the content? TW might be rehashed dungeons and raids from past expansions, but it is still fun content so why not enjoy it and if you happen to get something that is of use, if even for a moment, what is the issue?

I don't see why you're so upset by people wanting to run and enjoying running TW content. It doesn't affect you for others to do so and recommending people skip playing the game and just buy gear is just bad. Again, not everyone is looking to max gear as fast as possible just so they can stand around in Val reading /2. Some people actually like to PLAY the game they pay for.

IamEllekk recreated Eversong Woods using Houdini and Blender and here's the result.
As you can see in the below image, we have the characteristic Blood Elf architecture and the Burning Crystal.

We're back in the department of fortunate loot drops, this time, with Tindral Sageswift dropping four copies of the same item.
Tindral blessed a very lucky raid group with 4 pieces of Eternal Kindler's Greatstaff. While this isn't the record-breaking group who looted 5 Smoldering Seedlings from Larodar, it's still nice to see good old Tindral handing so many copies of the same item!

Today's retail hotfixes bring not only the Tindral Mythic nerf, but more Amirdrassil and dungeon changes, item improvements and quest fixes! No more tabard spam!

You can also check out today's Season of Discovery hotfixes here.

Throne of the Tides Updated the model used by the Ink of Ozumat to reduce the visual effects at its base. Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope Smolderon Fixed an issue where players would sometimes gain multiple stacks of Ignited Essence from 1 Living Flame. Fixed an issue where a Seeking Inferno could explode twice on Mythic difficulty. Tindral Sageswift Fallen Feathers now spawn 6 feathers on Mythic Difficulty (was 4). Items
Fixed an issue that caused the Large Renown bag of Dragon Isles Supplies to always unintentionally contain a Dream Wardens Tabard. Fixed an issue that could cause Gift of Urctos to fail to grant its bonuses. Quests
Fixed an issue preventing “Something Different” from being properly completed by PvP Brawls. Fixed an issue causing a Hunt choice to be unintentionally greyed out for “Aiding the Accord: The Hunt is On”.
