Amirdrassil 10.2 Raid DPS Log Rankings, Week 4: Major Tuning Fallout

Recommended Posts

Clipboard02.jpg

It's time to check out the big tuning aftermath! We've now had two tuning passes, with this past week's being the largest, and Rogues are the big winners, despite actually getting some nerfs! We have a lot of movement with some top specs falling and others holding on, with new challengers appearing at the top as well. Let's take a look at the Heroic and Mythic charts, and even a combination of the two!

Heroic

Overall Damage 95th Percentile

We're back with the tuning changes aaaand... more yellow. While Assassination did not take any noticeable hit (with Aug support, of course), other specs have risen up to catch up, as the gap between No.1 and 2 is considerably smaller. Subtlety has shot up 2 spots and gained a lot of damage, despite not having gotten any buffs. Perhaps Augmentation's attention has been split between the two specs. Arcane is doing its thing as usual, as the fights get shorter and shorter it rises on up, gaining 3 spots in 3rd. Havoc is the big loser of the week, but it's still hanging in there, dropping 3 spots into 5th. Balance and Enh take advantage of Beast Mastery's post-nerf fall, gaining 1, but Devastation is the story of the week, as its buff sees it soaring 9 spots up into 9th! Fury closes out the top 10 and we see the same bottom 3 as last week, with Augmentation definitely not deserving to be there, as the top specs take all its glory.

Overall Damage All Percentiles

The top 4 is the same here as above, with the yellow growing, as Subtletly and Arcane push out Demo. Enhancement gets the better of Havoc, as Balance also moves 1 up, and BM takes a 2 spot post-nerf dive. Devastation is doing really well here in the generalist bracket as well, gaining 8 spots since last week. Windwalker moves out of the bottom 3 after its 6% buff but doesn't go far, so let's hope it'll just be a delayed reaction.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Subtlety pushes on up in the direct damage chart as well as Arcane falls to both it and Enhancement, while Balance takes out Havoc and Unholy actually gains a big 4 spots in 7th.

Normal

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Arcane is going down despite the lightning fast kill times in Normal, as Subtletly takes over from the Mage and even gets the best of Assassination! Even Enhancement moves past Arcane, as the Mage sits in 5th, with Unholy rising right behind it.

Mythic

Overall Damage All Percentiles

We have 10guild having cleared Fyrakk so the stats are improving a little, but still not enough to make the switch. Things are even more yellow here, as we have a true Rogue domination in the top 3. Havoc moves down to 4th to make room, and BM falls 4 spots into 7th. Augmentation and Retribution are at the bottom here as well, but unluckily for the Paladins, their numbers aren't being miscounted, unlike the Evokers'.

U.GG DPS Rankings

U.gg's rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This is the chart for Heroic and Mythic difficulties combined.

We're looking at some combined Mythic and Heroic data here, and it seems every chart agrees the Rogues are just the best. Demonology comes out ahead of Arcane here, and Enhancement takes down Havoc once more, as Beast Mastery actually stays put. Fury drops a spot to Affliction and Survival makes it into the top 10!

30% nerf to Beast Master for being overpowered, but replaced with 2 rogue classes at the top. Who the heck is in charge of class tuning over there? Bite me.

That’s why I quit, ele always gets big time nerfs before they can even try something out that’s semi OP. They have just pooped on ele patch after patch so I withdrew my sub.

Is it possible to get these rankings but after the opener? I think it'd be interesting to see how things look in a more sustained dps way. I think these rankings will just get more skewed to the top as fights get shorter for everyone

That's how it works. If you nerf one another bar will be at the top.

Hi, will there be a similar post for healing classes?

Probably not as I don't think raw HPS numbers are the best gauge of how healers are doing. You can always head on to WC Logs or u.gg and check it out yourself, here's the link:

It's surprising to learn just how many racial abilities have been removed from WoW over the years (or changed/nerfed enough as to basically be a different ability). Today we have hirumaredx going over some of the most overpowered and fun ones.
The first one triggers me greatly, as the idea of tauren just running around really fast instead of mounting was one of the reasons I even installed WoW back in the day in the first place! The video also talks about Priest-specific racial spells , some that don't fit the OP or fun description of the video, the Blood Elf ones you knew would be featured, and more.

During one raid, we got to see the Fyr'alath bad luck protection buff work wonders, yielding 12 drops from a single Fyrakk kill.
Sacolas shared an interesting shot on Reddit, showing 12 Fyr'alaths dropping simultaneously! This might just be the record for the most Fyr'alath the Dreamrender drops we've seen from a single kill to date. Sadly, the original poster missed out on the quest item, and looted instead a Greater Ember of Fyr'alath. Here's hoping for better luck next week!

What's the highest number of Fyr'alaths you've seen drop from one kill? Let us know in the comments below!

The World Quest for Fathom Dweller is finally up on EU servers after almost a year. Check out how to summon Kosumoth the Hungering and get the mount before others do!
Here's what the mount looks like.

The quest won't pop up by itself. Instead, you must unlock it.
First, download a WoW Addon that shows you coordinates to figure out where you are and where you need to be. Something like MapCoords or TomTom will do. Head to Broken Shore 37/71 and talk to Drak'thul. Head to 57/52 and enter the Musty Cave. Click on the Mound of Dirt that is hard to notice. You will receive Weathered Relic. Return to 37/71 and talk to Drak'thul again and go through all his dialog options. Now comes the more difficult part. You must click on 10 Hungering Orbs in the exact order. If another player clicks on them, it takes approximately 20 minutes for them to become clickable again, so they have a cooldown. Here are coords for all the Hungering Orbs: Azsuna: 37/37: The first orb is located in a secret cave behind the tree. Stormheim: 33/75: The second orb is located in a cave where Kangaxx is. Val'sharah 41/80 Find another secret cave located inside a tree. The third orb is guarded by an Elemental.  Broken Shore 31/76: You will find an underwater cave that hides the fourth orb. Azsuna 59/12: Behind the crystals is yet another secret cave. The fifth orb is located on the ground next to a broken table. Stormheim 67/14: Near the underwater shark is a crevice that leads to a cave that contains the sixth orb. Try to avoid the steams, as they deal high damage. This orb may be the most difficult for you to get. Highmountain 52/36: Enter the Haglands and follow the path to your right. Above halfway down (55/36), you want to jump down to a ledge with a cave. Do not enter the first cave since it's a decoy. Instead, turn right and head to the actual cave to find the seventh orb. Azsuna 54/26: Under the bushes near a tree is another secret cave. The eighth orb is somewhat hidden, too, located in a bush near a pillar inside the cave. Broken Isles World Map 50/91: Find underwater wreckage to get through a secret cave. This one is hard to explain, so we advise you to check out MadSeasonShow's video (timestamp). You will find the ninth orb to your right. Broken Shore 37/71: Head back to Drak'thul and click the final orb on the table behind him. After you click it, the DANGER: Kosumoth the Hungering World Quest spawns at 46/49 on the Broken Isles World Map. Kill Kosumoth to receive Fathom Dweller. Note that you have a chance to get the Hungering Claw instead of the mount. It just so happens that the reward is the mount right now. Check out the video guide by MadSeasonShow for more details!
