In the arcane mage guide it says: “Cast Arcane Explosion if you will hit 3 or more targets.” Yet I find think the breakpoint is in fact from 2 mobs.
By my calculations
ABlast = 192% (+6% for weapon talent) of SP in 2.25s = 92.7% spell power /s
AE = 75% (+ 9% for weapon talent) of SP in 1.5s (since it's instant) = 54.4% of spell power / s. Double that for 2 targets and you're at 108.7% SP/s > 92.7% spell power /s for ABlast
Both are equally affected by arcane charges and both have the same mana / s (2% mana for AE in 1.5s vs. 3% mana for ABlast in 2.25s). Also in the conserve phase you’re doing 4 AC arcane barrage more frequently as you build through stacks quicker, which is great since ABarr hit's hard. Finally those lucky kilt owners will mana up faster. So lots of reasons to switch to AE from 2 mobs, assuming you can get in range.
So unless someone sees a flaw in this I think the guide needs to be amending

About Almost Heroes:
We believe in pushing content at a pace that is comfortable but still competitive. By the end of Nighthold progression, we intend to be sub US 50 for 2 day guilds, and unlike most guilds that you will see in the recruitment forums, we are going to do what it takes to get there. When you join Almost Heroes, you can expect to fully clear each tier.
Our definition of hardcore raiding is making the most out of our time together. Since we only raid 8 hours each week, it is up to each member to come completely prepared for the fights that we'll be working on. Raiders are expected to be highly self-motivated, and willing to find out the latest theorycraft data on their classes. Raiders should always be pushing themselves to improve with each raid week, and should never be satisfied with their performance.
Every raider is required to have at least one raid-ready alt that they can play just as well as their main for split runs and/or better comp selections. Your alt must also cover the same role as your main. For example, healer/healer, tank/tank, etc. We assist in gearing these alts through our main runs.

Like A Boss - 7/7H, 3/3H, 3/10H, & 10/10N Recruiting All Players for our raid group and for Mythics+.
Like A Boss was founded during WotLK by a small group of real life friends. We are formerly a 10-man Heroic raiding guild that raided throughout WotLK and went on a hiatus mid-Cataclysm. We are a semi-hardcore guild, and are looking for dedicated members who are able to make majority (if not all) of our scheduled raids or any players interested in joining our Mythics+. Our guild is mostly active at night, anywhere from 5pm PST till about 12am PST (varies). We have a casual-ish atmosphere with a serious desire for progression.
What we are looking for:
We currently have 15 raiders and we are looking to recruit more members to join our flexible raid roster so that we may progress into Mythic raids (requires 20). At this moment, we are open to all players; we are seeking out tanks, healers, and DPS (prefer ranged). We are open to both new and returning players. As mentioned above, we are also seeking players (any class/spec) that may be interested in joining our Mythics+. We run Mythics+ almost every night. While we prefer a geared player, we value a positive attitude over experience. Any players who are interested and active at the times mentioned above, please contact us. We are also open to players interested in a "filler" type role (can make some raid days but not all).
Additional information and scheduled raids:
Our raids are currently on Tues/Wed/Sun from 6:30pm PST till 8:30pm PST and we use Curse for our raids. RCLoot Council is a required add-on if you plan to raid with us. We typically try out new recruits for at least a week or two to ensure that it is a good fit for both the recruit as well as our guild. We encourage trials to join us in raids, dungeons, our VOIP, and/or even in other games. Raid spots are not guaranteed due to the flexible raid roster.

Ok so let me start out by saying my weapon is lvl 885(fire artifact) and has the following relics equipped:
Fires of Heaven 855 +10% Pyro (Fire)
Raven's sight 865 +20% FS (Arcane)
Fires of Heaven 845 +10% Pyro (Fire)
(I know it doesnt add 10% each)
i have in my bag i have:
Seawitch's Foci 840 +12% Ignite (Arcane)
Sizziling Fang 875 +12% Ignite (Fire)
Soulforge Ember 835+12% Ignite (Fire)
Molten Giant's Eye 860+3% Fire crit (Fire)
Fires of Heaven 840 +10% Pyro (Fire)
Ok last time i took out an Ignite relic i lost 40-50k dps. I put in the 855 Fires of Heaven relic and just did not stack up even though it was a 10ilvl increase. So my question is should i go tripple Ignite? or maybe double ignite with the crit relic too. I care a lot more about mythic + dps more than raid so keep that in mind. it doesnt seem like the pyro one is very good compared to ignite. Also if anyone can offer an explanation as to why i lost so much dps by switching in the supposedly best relic (pyro) that would be great. My best guess is that i was on some kind of soft cap with mastery and that it did a lot more dps but idk
I think the best two options are running three ignite for insane cleave damage in mythic plus or, Sizziling Flame, Molten Giant, and Seawitch.
