What is the Anomaly Arbitration?

Anomaly Arbitration is an endgame mode available in Honkai: Star Rail facing you off against 3 different encounters before facing off against the final boss. Use 3 different teams in the Knight stages before moving onto the incredibly difficult "King in Check" stage.

For players looking for the best team compositions for the current Anomaly Arbitration cycle. Please check out guide below:

1.1.

How to Unlock Anomaly Arbitration?

To unlock Anomaly Arbitration, players need to have cleared all of the previous endgame modes' hardest difficulties with 3 stars in each mode as well as being at least Equilibrium level 6.

This means, to unlock Anomaly Arbitration you need to have completely cleared Memories of Chaos, Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow.

2.

Anomaly Arbitration Current Duration

  • Event Duration: Start of 3.6 ~ ???

There is currently no known end for the current Anomaly Arbitration cycle.

Unlike other endgame modes in Honkai: Star Rail. Anomaly Arbitration will not conflict with the current 2-week rotation of the other existing endgame modes. Instead, Anomaly Arbitration will have different reset dates allowing for more endgame content overall.

Anomaly Arbitration Gameplay Mechanics

4.1.

Knights and Checkmate in Anomaly Arbitration

Because Anomaly Arbitration is a more difficult endgame mode, it's "stages" do not increase in difficulty in the same way. Instead, Anomaly Arbitration features Knight I, Knight II and Knight III stages of a similar relative difficulty to clear before moving onto the Checkmate stage.

Additionally, while you can clear the Knight modes in any order. They do each require different teams and you cannot use the same characters for multiple stages.

4.1.1.

The Final Boss Has an Extra Difficulty!

On top of the standard King in Check difficulty that Anomaly Arbitration has. There is also a King in Check: Plight difficulty that drastically ramps up the bosses HP while also making the additional enemy mechanics even stronger.

That being said, this fight does not provide much in the way of rewards.

4.2.

Buffs in Anomaly Arbitration

Unlike other endgame modes in Honkai: Star Rail, the Knight stages do not have any special buffs or mechanics that are beneficial to your teams.

However, the King in Check difficulty does have 3 buffs much like the other endgame modes you are familiar with. Taking advantage of these buffs and using a team tailored around what mechanics are currently being pushed will be key to success.

4.3.

Action Values and How Anomaly Arbitration Differs From MoC

Anomaly Arbitration's action values work a little differently compared to Memories of Chaos. In MoC, the first cycle is 150 AV, with every cycle afterwards being 100 AV. If you clear a wave of enemies within that first cycle, you start back at 150 AV again.

However, in Anomaly Arbitration, you instead start at 300 AV for your first cycle but this persists between enemy waves. This means that if you clear the first wave faster, you are rewarded with additional AV for the next wave of enemies. This ties in with the reward systems in Anomaly Arbitration where being able to 0-cycle actually provides players with a cosmetic.

5.

Anomaly Arbitration Rewards

Unlike other endgame modes, Anomaly Arbitration provides 0 Stellar Jades. Instead, rewards come in the form of a collection of cosmetics including Avatar Frames, Pom Pom outfits, a new type of reroll dice, a minion and more.

Many of Anomaly Arbitration's rewards are purchased through the new currency Lone Stardust which has it's own exclusive "Gift of Stardust" shop available. Furthermore, 200 Stardust can be purchased using feathers through the "Jokes Come true" store allowing players who cannot necessarily easily clear Anomaly Arbitration to still gain most of the rewards.

5.1.

Knight Stage Star Clear & Star Rewards

Anomaly Arbitration features 2 sets of rewards for clearing the Knight stages with Lone Stardust being obtainable through both first-time clears as well as obtaining enough stars. On top of that, every 3 stars also provides you with a Self-Modeling Resin.

First-Time Clear Rewards

Knight I 100x Lone Stardust
Knight II 100x Lone Stardust
Knight III 100x Lone Stardust

Star Rewards

6-Stars 200x Lone Stardust

5.2.

King Stage Star Rewards and Avatar Frames

Clearing the Checkmate/King in Check stage of Anomaly Arbitration provides you with rewards based on how many stars are obtained. Each of the 3 available stars also provides players with an Avatar Frame. Furthermore, the first star gives players the item Interference Key. These are used to "block" a specific stat during the reroll, ensuring that you cannot roll stats into an undesired stat type.

Furthermore, being able to 0 Cycle Anomaly Arbitration or clearing the harder difficulty of the Checkmate boss will grant you an even rarer frame.

Stars Clear Rewards Avatar Frame
1 100x Lone Stardust
1x Interference Key
Anomaly Arbitration Bronze Frame Reward
2 100x Lone Stardust
Anomaly Arbitration Silver Frame Reward
3 100x Lone Stardust
Anomaly Arbitration Gold Frame Reward
0 Cycle / Clear Plight Difficulty -
Anomaly Arbitration Special Frame Reward

These frames are limited time, and will only last for the duration of the current Anomaly Arbitration. Afterwards, they must be earned again in the next cycle of Anomaly Arbitration.
