Character Explanation
Castorice is a strong DPS character to add to your team setup. Castorice focuses on using her Memosprite "Netherwing" to deal huge amounts of AoE DMG. Castorice doesn't use skill points in order to use her Ultimate but rather has a charge system called "Newbud". As Allies take DMG or receive healing, Newbud is accumulated until it reaches 100% and Netherwing is summoned to the field. When this happens, Netherwing reduces enemy All Type RES and boosts all allies' DMG by 10% for 3 turns. In addition to this, when Netherwing has entered the field, Castorice advances her action by 100%.
Netherwing does not take DMG directly from enemies but rather takes excess DMG from allies that would otherwise reduce their HP below 1%. The excess DMG taken by Netherwing is increased by 500% of its original value, which can therefore reduce Netherwing's HP to 0 making it leave the field. If Netherwing's HP is 25% or less, this will trigger a finishing burst "Wings Sweep the Ruins" which will deal 6 instances of Quantum DMG equal to 40% of Castorice's max HP in addition to restoring allies' HP by 800.
Netherwing has 2 main attacks - "Claw Splits the Veil" and "Breath Scorches the Shadow". Claw deals 40% of Castorice's max HP in an AoE while the Breath attack is generally the stronger attack, consuming 25% of Netherwing's HP and dealing up to 24% of Castorice's max HP to each enemy. As you progress through each level of this attack by continuously holding down the trigger, this attack deals an increased amount of damage. If all of Netherwing's HP is consumed, one final burst of damage will be triggered.
As an additional backup when it comes to providing a line of defence in any fight, Netherwing can use their talent "Mooncocoon Shrouds the Form" to take damage in place of an ally about to die allowing the ally to take another turn and consume HP before they are permanently removed from the fight. This can be useful in instances where you may have made a miscalculation during a fight causing your character to take too much damage causing them to lose all HP.
Character Role
Castorice is a solid DPS character who can provide a small amount of defence and healing for her team but primarily focuses on dealing large amounts of damage through the use of her ultimate which summons her memosprite.

Castorice's Best Eidolons
When it comes to selecting which Eidolons are the most important to focus on, her E2 and E6 are notably the strongest and most beneficial.
Below is a brief overview of the key Eidolons that enhance her performance:
- E1: Boosts damage based on the enemy's HP, giving a solid overall increase.
- E2: Helps manage HP consumption, speeds up Newbud generation and improves turn order. Works especially well with E1.
- E4: Increases team healing and helps generate Newbud faster, but not essential if you already have a strong healer.
- E6: Major power increase, attacks gain Quantum RES PEN and can ignore enemy weaknesses.
Overall, E2 is the best stopping point for most players, while E6 offers the biggest endgame upgrade.
