Sparxie Build Comments

Sparxie’s SPD optimization in 4.0 ultimately hinges on whether Yao Guang is equipped with her signature Light Cone, When She Decided to See. Without it, Aha cannot realistically reach meaningful SPD breakpoints, eliminating most incentive for Sparxie to invest into SPD.

When Yao Guang' signature is equipped, however, Sparxie’s SPD becomes relevant if players aim to maximize Aha’s turns within common cycle breakpoints. Due to the current absence of additional Elation characters, both Sparxie and Yao Guang must build SPD to increase Aha, regardless of whether Sparxie is paired with an Action Advancer such as Sparkle.

While Sparxie’s A2 Trace, Sweet! Punchline Signing, increases her Elation based off ATK, with the help of Characters who provide ATK% buffs, such as Sparkle, Huohuo, or wearers of Lushaka, the Sunken Seas, she reaches the 3600 ATK breakpoint, allowing her to equip Relics with Main Stats other than ATK%, like SPD, Energy Regeneration Rate%, or DMG%, without reducing the benefit from her trace. A variation like Energy Regeneration Rate% often results in a higher frequency in Ultimate usage, resulting in a higher turnover of damage.

Elation & Sparxie Explained

Elation Primer Character Explanation

Elation Primer

In any teams that have an Elation character you will be supported by Aha. Aha will appear in the turn over with their own SPD and cannot be interacted with via action advance effects like Dance! Dance! Dance!. Additionally, the time till Aha's next turn will not reset when progressing through content with multiple waves.

Elation Damage is based on character level, stacks of Punchline or Certified Banger, and Elation%. Elation Damage is not increased by sources of DMG%, nor is it scaled by ATK%. Elation Damage can critically strike and works fully with CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG.

Each time Aha acts they will trigger an "Aha Instant". During an Aha Instant, Aha will record the current amount of Punchline, then all Elation characters will use their Elation Skill. The amount of Elation damage each characters Elation Skill will deal is based on the amount of accumulated Punchline.

After the Aha Instant ends, each character will gain stacks of "Certified Banger" for 2 turns (3 for Yao Guang, due to her A2 Trace Felicity Ensemble). These stacks will track their duration independently and are used in place of Punchline stacks for calculating Elation damage outside of Aha Instant.

Aha's SPD is calculated by taking a base SPD of 80 and then adding 1/5th of the SPD of your fastest Elation character, plus 1/10th of the 2nd fastest Elation character. We assume you will also get 1/15th of the 3rd fastest Elation character but there is not one in the game yet.

We strongly recommend getting Aha to at least 120 SPD as this is a breakpoint for Anomaly Arbitration. Getting Aha to 134 SPD is possible but an extremely costly investment and we do not recommend shooting for this unless you have Eidolon 2 on Yao Guang.

In order to achieve 120 SPD for Aha you will need 200 SPD on Yao Guang if she is the only Elation Character. In teams with Sparxie at her base SPD you will need at least 147 SPD on Yao Guang. The higher Sparxie's SPD the less SPD Yao Guang will need (For every 2 SPD Sparxie has, Yao Guang will need 1 less SPD).

In order to achieve 133.4 SPD for Aha, you would need 270 SPD for a single Elation character, which is not feasible. With two Elation Characters, assuming the 2nd Character is at 133.4 SPD, you will need 200 SPD on Yao Guang. For each additional 2 SPD on the 2nd Elation Character Yao Guang will need 1 less SPD.

In order to achieve 200 SPD on Yao Guang you will need to have her Signature Light Cone, 6% SPD from Diviner of Distant Reach and 18 SPD substat rolls on average. With an additional 6% SPD set you will only need 15 SPD substat rolls which is slightly easier. While possible, this is an excessive amount of SPD and is extremely hard to reach without having Yao Guang's E2 Blind Arrows Guided by Feathers.

Character Explanation

Sparxie is an Elation Character who consumes hoards of SP to generate Punchline for her Elation teammates to use, deal high Blast damage, and provide supportive buffs to her allies, as a Sub-DPS or a Main DPS.

A core component of Sparxie's gameplay is her Skill, Boom! Sparxicle's Poppin'. When activated, Sparxie enters livestreaming mode and converts Skill Points into "Engagement Farming" stacks via “gifts.” Each Skill Point consumed grants a random gift: either two Skill Points refunded plus two Punchline stacks, or one Punchline stack. She can possess up to 20 "Engagement Farming" stacks, similar to how Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae can only possess three enhancements to his Enhanced Basic ATK.

Once all Skill Points are consumed — or the player has consumed the desired number — Sparxie can trigger her Enhanced Basic ATK, Bloom! Winner Takes All, to end the livestream and deal Blast DMG based on her ATK and "Engagement Farming" stacks. Due to her Talent, Sleight of Sparx Hand, if Sparxie holds Certified Banger, this Enhanced Basic ATK deals additional Elation DMG based on "Engagement Farming" stacks.

Sparxie's Ultimate, Party's Wildin' and Camera's Rollin', deals minor ATK damage to all enemies and grants 2 Punchline stacks. Due to her Talent, if she holds Certified Banger, her Ultimate may also deal additional Elation DMG to all enemies.

Her Elation Skill, Signal Overflow: The Great Encore!, deals high damage to all enemies and grants 2 "Thrill" stacks. Thrill can substitute for Skill Points during Boom! Sparxicle's Poppin', letting Sparxie trigger Engagement Farming without consuming actual Skill Points. It should be noted that Sparxie will consume Thrill before she consumes Skill Points.

Sparxie's Technique, Content Monetization, deals minor Fire DMG to all enemies based off Sparxie's ATK and grants 2 Skill Points.

Sparxie's A2 trace, Sweet! Punchline Signing, increases her Elation based on her ATK: granting her 80% for 3600 ATK. This trace effectively converts any ATK % buffs into more Elation, ensuring that these buffs aren’t wasted on Sparxie despite her Elation-based damage. However, Sparxie does not benefit from flat ATK buffs—meaning ATK buffs from Characters such as Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae and Robin are generally unused, because HSR does not support double conversion between stats.

Sparxie's A4 trace, Dazzling! Persona Kaleidoscope, grants bonus Punchline and Thrill when using her Ultimate, increasing with the number of Elation characters in the team and spiking at 3 units. This trace encourages building a team with multiple Elation characters to maximize her resource generation. However, Sparxie herself counts toward the Elation character tally, meaning she benefits from the bonus even if she is the only Elation unit on the team.

Sparxie's A6 trace, Frenzy! Palette of Truth and Lies, increases all allies’ CRIT DMG based on the number of Punchline stacks Sparxie currently has, up to 80%. This gives her supportive utility, particularly benefiting Elation-focused teams where Punchline is generated consistently in high amounts.

Sparxie's Best Eidolons

Sparxie's first two Eidolons are her most efficient Eidolons, with the largest increase belonging to her second Eidolon. It's worth noting that as of 4.0, Sparxie is extremely limited with the amount of Elation she has, and the value and strength of her Eidolons may prove to increase over time.

If you’re aiming to get Sparxie’s Eidolons, stopping at E1 or E2 is optimal. Both E1 and E2 provide significantly more value than the next three eidolons, with the next major power spike not occurring until E6.
Listed below are our calculations for Sparxie's Eidolons.

Eidolon % Diff % Diff E0 Comment
#GoingViral #WhoIsShe 14.6% 14.6% This Eidolon may gain greater value in future versions as Sparxie receives more allies following the path of Elation who can better capitalize on the Punchline refund triggered after Aha's turn, along with the teamwide All-Type RES PEN.
#AudienceKnows 24.6% 42.6% Similar to her first Eidolon, this Eidolon may gain greater value in future versions, potentially to a higher extent, as Sparxie gains more consistent access to Thrill. This enables higher "Engagement Farming" and Punchline generation, directly increasing her teamwide damage contribution, while also providing additional CRIT DMG for her own output.
#LinkUp #HeartSkip 2.0% 46.0% Extremely weak, as this Eidolon only increases the infrequent Elation Skill and the ATK-scaling damage from her Enhanced Basic ATK.
#LockedIn #FaceCard 13.1% 65.2% Similar to her first two Eidolons, this Eidolon provides additional Punchline, slightly enhancing Sparxie's overall impact over time. Using her Ultimate also grants a moderate Elation boost, further increasing her personal contribution.
#HealingTheWorld #GoodVibesOnly 4.4% 72.5% Further increases Sparxie's rather infrequent Elation Skill, as well as her Elation damage from her Skill and Ultimate.
#BuiltDifferent #GoingExtinct 83.2% 216.2% An extremely strong Eidolon for Sparxie, increasing her All-Type RES PEN to a standard amount, and granting up to 40 extra procs of additional DMG during her Elation Skill.
