Pure Fiction Stage 1 Guide and Best Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

The current Pure Fiction Phase is Domain Genesis of Version 4.5. This phase will last from September 14th, 2026 until October 26th, 2026. Each phase lasts six weeks and resets on a Monday at 04:00 server time.

Your goal in this stage of the Three Act Structure phase of Pure Fiction is to earn up to 80,000 points by defeating as many enemies as possible within a limited number of cycles.

• Target: Gain 30,000 Points
• Objectives:
• ★ - Gain 40,000 Points
• ★★ - Gain 50,000 Points
• ★★★ - Gain 60,000 Points

The current Grit Mechanic is the following: Punchline Acquisition.

Each time Punchline is gained, allies will additionally accumulate 2 Grit Value.

The current phase will also have the following Grit effects:

• Concordant Truce: This stage has a special Elation Skill. When entering Aha Instant, deals 15 instance(s) of Imaginary Elation DMG to a random enemy target. When an enemy target is defeated by any target, obtains 1 Punchline point(s).
• Surging Grit: Upon entering "Surging Grit," Aha immediately gains an extra turn where a fixed amount of 20 Punchline is taken into account. During this turn, Punchline is not consumed, and Elation Skill DMG dealt is 50% of the original DMG. During "Surging Grit," DMG taken by enemy targets increases by 50%, and Aha Instant's SPD increases by 40.

The following Buffs are available during the current Pure Fiction Phase:

• Euphoria: During "Surging Grit," enemy targets take 30% more Elation DMG, and additionally increases Aha Instant's SPD by 20.
• Delirium: After an ally target uses their Basic ATK or Skill, gains 1 Punchline. During Surging Grit, the ally targets' DMG dealt increases by 50%.
• Riddle Fanatic: After an ally memosprite uses an attack, gains 2 Punchline. During Surging Grit, DMG dealt by ally memosprites increases by 50%.

Pure Fiction as a mode favors characters that can deal large amounts of multi-target damage, such as AoE or Blast. This is because defeating the smaller enemies on the field in Wave 2 and 3 will deal bonus damage to the main boss, allowing you to progress to the final wave faster and generate more points.

Pure Fiction Stage 1 largely consists of lower level enemies, and thus, most team compositions should be able to clear the stage comfortably. If you are struggling, consider leveling up your characters, Light Cones, traces, and more.

Additionally, playing into the grit mechanic can help boost your damage output. Building teams that can build grit quickly and use the Surging Grit buff can help with generating more points.
