When an ally target inflicts a debuff on an enemy target, allies additionally accumulate 1 Grit Value. This effect can be triggered up to 10 time(s) per enemy target.

The current phase will also have the following Grit effects:

  • Concordant Truce: Decreases enemy targets' Effect RES by 30%. Increases DMG taken by enemy targets afflicted with 4 or more debuffs by 20%.
  • Surging Grit: Upon entering "Surging Grit," deals a set amount of DMG to enemy targets 1 time for every debuff they are inflicted with. During "Surging Grit," DMG received by enemy targets increases by 50%. After each time an enemy target is inflicted with a debuff, inflicts 1 stack of "Dejection" on them, decreasing their All-Type RES by 1% for 2 turn(s). This effect can stack up to 20 time(s).
3.3.

The following Buffs are available during the current Pure Fiction Phase:

  • Toccata: Increases Ultimate and Follow-Up ATK DMG dealt by ally targets by 40%. During "Surging Grit," each time an enemy target is inflicted with the "Dejection" effect, it changes to stacking 2 stack(s) of this effect instead. The max stacking limit of the "Dejection" effect increases to 50 stacks.
  • Mirthful Cadence: After an ally character uses an Elation Skill to attack an enemy target, inflicts the "Indulgence" effect on the attacked enemy target, increasing the DMG taken by this target by 15% for 2 turn(s). This effect applied by each character exists independently. Upon entering "Surging Grit", allies gain 40 Punchline(s).
  • Variation: After an ally target uses a Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate to attack an enemy target, there is a 100% base chance to reduce the attacked enemy target's DEF by 3%, lasting for 2 turn(s). This effect can stack up to 10 times.

Pure Fiction Stage 3 Tips & Strategy

Pure Fiction as a mode favors characters that can deal large amounts of multi-target damage, such as AoE or Blast. This is because defeating the smaller enemies on the field in Wave 2 and 3 will deal bonus damage to the main boss, allowing you to progress to the final wave faster and generate more points.

Additionally, playing into the grit mechanic can help boost your damage output. Building teams that can build grit quickly and use the Surging Grit buff can help with generating more points.

6.1.

First Half

The Furbo Journalist will grant Punchline for Aha Instant when it leaves the field based on the amount of damage that causes it to die. Try hitting it with hard hitting attacks for a small damage boost.

hitting the Furiae Archer's to break War Armor grants energy, abuse this in Wave 1 to get fast Ultimates.

6.2.

Second Half

During Wave 3, the Lesseer Sting will inflict Vulnerability on nearby mobs when it dies, so utilize this to debuff the main boss of the wave.
