The current Grit Mechanic is the following: Ultimate Attack.

After allies use Ultimate to attack enemy targets, every enemy target hit additionally accumulates 5 Grit Value for allies.

The current phase will also have the following Grit effects:

  • Concordant Truce: After an enemy target is defeated by any unit, all allies gain 1 stack of "Resound."
  • Surging Grit: When entering Surging Grit, consume all "Resound." Each stack of "Resound" deals 1 instance of a set amount of DMG to a random enemy target. During Surging Grit, increases enemy targets' DMG taken by 50%, and after they are defeated by any unit, all allies additionally gain 1 stack of "Resound." When "Resound" stacks up to 10 or higher, consumes all "Resound" stacks and deals 1 instance of a set amount of DMG to a random enemy target per stack.

The following Buffs are available during the current Pure Fiction Phase:

  • Memory: Upon entering "Surging Grit," immediately recover 3 Skill Point(s). During "Surging Grit," enemy targets take 30% more DoT.
  • Streets Abuzz: During "Surging Grit," Follow-Up ATK DMG dealt by ally targets increases by 50%. After an ally target uses a Follow-Up ATK, applies 1 stack(s) of "Resound" to all allies.
  • Commotion: During Surging Grit, all allies' SPD increases by 35%. When all "Resound" is consumed in an attack, recover 1 Skill Point.

Pure Fiction Stage 3 Tips & Strategy

Pure Fiction as a mode favors characters that can deal large amounts of multi-target damage, such as AoE or Blast. This is because defeating the smaller enemies on the field in Wave 2 and 3 will deal bonus damage to the main boss, allowing you to progress to the final wave faster and generate more points.

Additionally, playing into the grit mechanic can help boost your damage output. Building teams that can build grit quickly and use the Surging Grit buff can help with generating more points.

6.1.

First Half

The Furbo Journalist will grant Punchline for Aha Instant when it leaves the field based on the amount of damage that causes it to die. Try hitting it with hard hitting attacks for a small damage boost.

During the first half you want to focus on the Dreamjolt Troupe's Mr. Domescreen first, to take advantage of the bonus energy they can grant you if you keep them smiling.

6.2.

Second Half

During Wave 3, the Entranced Ingenium: Illumination Dragonfish will inflict DEF Down on nearby mobs when it dies, so utilize this to debuff the main boss of the wave.
