Pure Fiction Stage 3 Tips & Strategy
Pure Fiction as a mode favors characters that can deal large amounts of multi-target damage, such as AoE or Blast. This is because defeating the smaller enemies on the field in Wave 2 and 3 will deal bonus damage to the main boss, allowing you to porgress to the final wave faster and generate more points.
Additionally, playing into the grit mechanic can help boost your damage output. Building teams that can build grit quickly and use the Surging Grit buff can help with generating more points.
First Half
The Lordly Trashcan will only leave the field if you break its weakness. Hitting it will cause the element damage type to be added as a weakness, so make sure your main damage dealers get to inflict its weakness type.
During Wave 2, the Furiae enemies will grant energy upon breaking their War Armor, which you can do by attacking their elemental weakness. Use the bonus energy to keep high ultimate uptime.
During Wave 3, beware the revival of the mara-struck enemies, as they can catch you off gaurd and deal alot of damage.
Second Half
During the first half you want to focus on the Dreamjolt Troupe's Mr. Domescreen first, to take advantage of the bonus energy they can grant you if you keep them smiling.
In Wave 2, the Dreamjolt Troupe's Bubble Hound can trigger a strong physical DoT on nearby enemies when it explodes, so try to kill it next to the Ice Out of Space to deal large amounts of extra damage. DoTs otherwise.
In Wave 3, the main boss, Guardian Shadow, will deal a large amount of outgoing damage if you use skills while its defensive buff is available. Be careful of its damage if you are utilized a team that utilizes offensive skills.
