Neo Golden Mecha Event Guide in Zenless Zone Zero
This event will take place during version 2.4 of the game. More information will be added as soon as it will be available.
What is the Neo Golden Mecha Event About?
During the Event, you will have to take control of the Golden Mecha Bangboo and undergo some serious training!
How do you Participate in the Neo Golden Mecha Event?
In order to participate you will need to reach Inter-Knot level 15 and complete Agent Story Mole in the Hole. as well as unlock the Brant Street Construction Site during the Main Story Chapter 2 A Call From the Hollow's Heart.
During this event, Grace Howard and a film crew need your help with the Mecha Bangboo! Take control, upgrade it, and win every fight!
It is similar to the Soul of Steel: Golden Bond Event.
Head to the Brant Street Construction Site and talk to Grace Howard.
Grace is participating in a movie with her new mecha, and she needs Eous to control it.
The goal is to let Eous enter the mech's cockpit to bypass the defense protocols. Meanwhile the Proxy will use the external cockpit to establish a link and take control of the Mech.
Once the big dialogue is over, you will have access to the first stage.
Origins Mode
The first stage, Explore the Fallen Base, will be a training stage. After that you can navigate the main menu.
You have two types of stages: Exploration, with gates systems where you have to find the exit, and combat, that focuses more on fighting with the Mech.
Once you validate, you enter the stage. You officially control a Mecha! The stages are nothing complicated. You just have to defeat the other Mecha. You can:
- Press to launch a punch
- Press to ground stomp
- Hold to charge kick
- Press the Cog Wheel (R on Keyboard and B/Circle on Controller) to enter Ranged Mode
- Press to dodge
- Hold to enter jet movement mode, allowing you to be faster. This mode consumed Spray Fuel, which regenerates over time when it's not used
- During some stages, you can press R1 or click the switch button to get Eous out of the mech and explore spaces where the mech has no access.
When you hit an enemy with any attack you accumulate Heat. Once it's full, your next Basic Attack Punch will deal massive DMG.
You can also aim with pressing the little cog wheel attack to launch your fist, entering a sort of Ranged Mode. If you press the same button again you recall your fist and return to Melee mode. When Heat is full, this attack also deals increased DMG.
The Mech can be a bit clunky to control, especially on controller, but you rapidly unlock enough Loadout space to take additional abilities, which makes it easier. As the stages progress, Flight Mode is really useful and gives you more mobility.
What are the Neo Golden Mecha Event Rewards?
During the event, you can earn the following rewards:
- 580 Polychrome
- 48 Advanced Physical Chip
- 180 000 Denny
- 1 Namecard "To be Continued"
