Ellen Joe Best Team Compositions and Character Synergies

Dialyn can be the best stun option for Ellen providing several extra ultimates due to Dialyn being able to convert Chain Attacks into an Ultimate. That being said, to fully take advantage of this, you would need to farm and build the Puffer Electro set. Dialyn will still be a good option without it, but not better than Lighter.

Lighter is the best stun option in Ellen teams providing boosts to both Ice DMG and RES Shred as well as having an extended stun window allowing Ellen to deal even higher damage.

Lycaon is another great stunner for Ellen teams, providing both Ice RES Shred as well as the faction passive with Additional Ability: Rising Storm to further buff Ice DMG as well as the faction passive for Butler. Lycaon can require more on-field time though compared to Lighter.

Other great stun options include Trigger and Ju Fufu who are great sources of Stun with lower field time. Trigger increases the Stun DMG multiplier while Ju Fufu instead provides additional buffs. Both are great options if you have neither of the other 2 Stunners listed.

Astra Yao is Ellen's best support option, she brings DMG Buffs, CRIT Buffs, ATK Buffs and even a small amount of healing all for an incredibly low field time. If you are playing Astra with Lighter, note that neither will trigger the faction/element bonus for Ellen. However it is still more than worth it as the damage these 2 provide outweighs the core passive buff.

Soukaku is a great support for any Ice-based team composition, providing an increase to Ice DMG, RES Shred and even an ATK buff making her a powerful substitute compared to Astra Yao.
