A large portion of gearing, outside of knowing what is your best items, is reliant on item level. Try not to overthink gearing, as most upgrades should be easily identifiable. After item level, you can further scrutinize the Secondary Stats looking for Mastery gear and items with sockets.

It is crucial to use Raidbots to get an accurate idea of what gear is good and what is terrible. There are so many variables that can change which pieces you would equip. While a cursory glance can be enough to determine what is usable, deciding what is best among what is good is a more nuanced decision.

• Two Piece Set: Starsurge and Starfall increase the damage of your next Wrath or Starfire by 30%, stacking 3-times.
• Four Piece Set: When you enter Eclipse, your next Starsurge or Starfall costs 15 less Astral Power and deals 40% increased damage.

The two-piece is primarily a passive effect as you will be using the stacks you gain regularly. If you try to micro-manage it, you can try to stack it up to three times before use, but other buffs take priority over this one.

The four piece is consumed on your first spender on entering Eclipse. You can sometimes stack this by entering Eclipse, using the buff, and then enter Primordial Arcanic Pulsar, which will allow you to do more burst or have stronger AoE.

It is recommended to swap to this set when you have both bonuses at equal or higher item level than your current tier set.

Season 4 offers a way to target specific, powerful items with the new Antique Bronze Bullion. Here are the best items to spend your Bullions on in Dragonflight Season 4.

These are the recommended items in the order of highest % gain from nothing. Use Raidbots to sim your upgrades to find what is the best item for you before you make your purchase.

The best overall embellishments:

Your primary embellishment selection will be Toxic Thorn Footwraps and a crafted Leather piece with Toxified Armor Patch, most likely your gloves or wrist.

Elemental Lariat will become viable when you have the full 8-gems. This will allow you to have the same output as the boots but no downsides on survivability.

Blue Silken Lining will be the highest simming embellishment out of all options. You will need about 40% uptime, which is easily achievable in Mythic+ but less so in raids. This can be crafted on any item and can be stacked twice for maximum effectiveness.

This is our general recommendation for the best Crafting Order. It goes for Embellishments first, as they offer the largest increase per Spark, and then goes for powerful iLvl gains. Toxified Armor Patch does not scale with item level of the piece it is crafted on only on Toxic Thorn Footwraps themselves.

3. Signet of Titanic Insight (with Alchemical Flavor Pocket)
4. You can upgrade your Toxified Armor Patch crafted item if you have no other immediate needs.
5. From this point, we strongly recommend you sim yourself to work out future crafts.

For personal, tangible benefits in Raids and Dungeons, we recommend taking Alchemy. It grants extra healing on potion use as well as movement speed. Alchemy can also make it easier to use Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage, which can be the best Phial for Balance Druid.
