1. Best in Slot Advice↑top

With the advent of Thunderforged and Warforged weapons, BiS lists are much less valuable a resource than before, because we would be advising a list of items that not even the best players would have a chance to complete. Instead, we now give you advice for choosing your trinkets, your set bonuses, and whatever else is important for your class.

For the rest of your equipment, you should look for upgrades that match your stat priority. For that, we advise you to Ask Mr. Robot, by filling the form below.

2. Weapon Choice↑top

The only viable weapon for a Blood Death Knight is one of the following:

  • Two-Handed Axe;
  • Two-Handed Sword;
  • Two-Handed Mace.

Additionally, you will only want to use weapons with Strength as their primary statistic.

3. Gearing Up↑top

When gearing up, we advise you to always prioritise pieces of Tier sets over non-set pieces of higher item level.

In each table, the items are ranked by item level and then alphabetically.

4. Loot Competition↑top

Blood Death Knights use Plate Armor with Strength and Stamina as their main stats. Additionally, they prefer Mastery over Critical Strike and Haste . Apart from other Blood Death Knights, they will also be competing for items with the classes listed below:

Item Type Competing Classes
Tier Tokens Frost/Unholy Death Knights, Druids, Mages, and Rogues
  • Plate Armor
  • Amulets
  • Cloaks
  • Rings
  • Always: Protection Paladins and Protection Warriors
  • Items with Mastery*: Frost/Unholy Death Knights, Retribution Paladins, and Arms/Fury Warriors
Trinkets Guardian Druids, Brewmaster Monks, Protection Paladins, and Protection Warriors
Two-Handed Weapons Items with Mastery*: Frost/Unholy Death Knights, Retribution Paladins, and Arms/Fury Warriors

* Keep in mind that, pieces of gear without tanking statistics may be the best choice for tanks. This is the case of many Strength items with Mastery.
