Lore
Spellblade Aluriel is one of the 5 bosses that can be fought in an order of the raid's choosing.
Aluriel always had an affinity for magic. She rose through the ranks of the Nightguard effortlessly, having a natural talent with the sword. But no matter how strong she became, she wanted more. She studied with the mages at the University of Suramar, spending her days in combat training and her evenings in artificery. She forged her weapons and armor in the Nightwell, weaving magic spells into the precious metals. She is the first Spellblade, adept in the schools of Fire, Frost, and Arcane.
Outline
Spellblade Aluriel is single phase encounter in the Nighthold. She will alternate between her 3 Elemental masteries; Fire, Frost, and Arcane. These act as pseudo-phases of sorts; each element will alter her base ability set significantly, requiring different positioning and adaptations in order to survive.
TL;DR
Tanks
- Stack on each other in front of the boss and perform a taunt swap after
each
Annihilate.
Healers
- Pay close attention to the raid as detonations occur during each elemental phase, as the raid may take heavy damage.
DPS
- Quickly eliminate the Fiery, Arcane, and Frozen Enchantments that spawn during each elemental phase, as they are lethal to the group.
Everyone
- Transfer
Mark of Frost to fresh allies when the
damage is too high to sustain. - Move away from
Detonate: Arcane Orb to avoid
being killed. - Interrupt the
Pyroblast casts from the Fiery
Enchantments. - Loosely spread in Fire phase to avoid being hit by Aluriel's charge when
she applies
Searing Brand.
Mythic Notes
- Aluriel will spawn the
Fel Soul shortly after transitioning to
each new phase, which persists for 45s and casts differently abilities
depending on the phase. Players should spread during Frost and Fire, and
stack in front of the Fel Soul during Arcane to split the
Fel Lash
damage. - All the animated adds at the end of each phase are stronger, cast faster, and do significantly more damage.
Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp
It is recommended you use
Bloodlust on the pull for maximum damage.
