Yeah I am saving my profile, I see the message that reads successfully saved to make sure. Also this andom weirdness. Today doing Kazzak (not a big deal) I had tanks somehow move to the regular raid group frames and not be in tank frames. Sometimes I just feel like I'm in another dimension, I cannot figure that out lol

Great guide, thanks!

Is there a way to show manabar ONLY for heals?

I thought that I'll sort it in one minute:

New bouquet:

1. Flag: Role Healer

2. Statusbar: Mana %

Use it in Indicators --> Mana Bar.

But it wouldn't work :-/

I'm going to look into it in the evening. Thanks for the question!

Hello!

I've just started to use Vuhdo and i'm very happy with it! Even so i want to ask a question about it tongue.png .

Is there anyway to add cast bars to vhdo npc frames so i can mousever intrerupt an hostile npc?

For target/focus i can get quartz or other cast bar addon, but for the special npc frames unless it can link with Vuhdo it won't work, i've been looking for a cast bar option but i can't find one.

I olso thought of other alternatives like futher customizing the boss frames from elvui, since it usually show all the important npc in a fight, but that means i will lose the click options.

Thank you!

Heyas!

There are no build-in castbars in VuhDo but we can divide your question into two parts.

- You can mouseover interrupt on VuhDo frames, ElvUI frames or simple being over a model of the enemy: interrupts don't have any connection to presence of a cast bar and the same [@mouseover] works for all kinds of frames and models.

- If you need something to know when to interrupt, you don't need a castbar, much better would be to track the needed spell in Weakauras or to configure the Role Announces section for every boss in DBM (if we are talking about raiding).

Is there a way to show manabar ONLY for heals?

I've figured the answer finally - thanks to Ivaria who pointed me to the right direction. I was overcomplicating the things smile.png

Go to General-->Indicators-->Mana Bar. Choose 'Manabars: Mana Only' in the dropdown menu.

Press 'Edit'.

Add 'Flag: Role Damager' to Bouquet Details and move it to the first line.

Select this flag and on the left side click on the 'Item' rectangle. Set Opacity to 0.

That's it.

Here's a screenshot to make it easier:

In raid it looks like this:

your setup is interesting, what do you use for the enemy unit bars, and what is the add-on u use for the spell ready now popup's, as well as the i think its healer Cd's on the right, and the spell effects like the crits and spirit alerts from elemental blast. know this isn't vuhdo related but I'd love the know what your using.

If you are talking about the video in the first post of the thread, the raid frames (enemy unit bars) are ElvUI, pop-ups and spell effects are from MikScrollingBattleText addon, raid/healing CDs on the right side of the screen - oRA3 cooldowns.

I've used VuhDo for about a year with my healers and love it.  To minimize addons I'm configuring it for my hunter, and noticed that it doesn't seem to detect Spirit Mend as a heal over time (it does detect Pet Mend which is great!).  Is there any way I can set up Spirit Mend with a HoT indicator?

Thanks!

You can try to add Spirit Mend as a Custom Bouquet and then add this Bouquet to HoT indicators or you can try to add Spirit Mend to Custom Debuffs section (while it's named Debuffs, you can add there whatever buff/debuff you want to track).

I don't have a hunter toon, so can't check it by myself :(

I have  recently been trying out some add-on's. Although, I have heard of Vuhdo, I tried it once, and after about 10 minutes of such eyestrain I gave it up trying to configure it and used Healbot.

I wanted to give Vuhdo a go at it again, and recently downloaded it. At first, I was like now I remembered why I stopped using it before...But I didn't give up. The pale blue and light white and the small font scale. None the less, I got it configured after reading this guide and I greatly appreciate in it.

BUT---

I set up and configured things and I had it tested and was working fine.. Playing as a Shaman (Restro) I went into LFR and I had no issues with my basic set-up. Ran three LFR's and No problem, until I was tweaking it during a moment as we que'd.Someone agro'd and I went to do the following:

Canceled (Not to apply my changes) -I think I was asked are you sure and I was like yes etc .. went to try to heal but everything even from before was wiped, which I had to reconfigure etc...

I have a few questions.

How do I switch between one configuration  and then to another.

Did I do something wrong, because I reconfigured it as restro again, went to enhancement configure it there.Went to LFR as DPS.. left ... re'qued went back as heals... and all my settings was changed.

Also, is there a way to lock the frames, from raid position which I have set up but when I go to solo or the raid itself fades it sorta reposition's itself accordingly?

Any help would be so much welcomed.

@Kraik: yes, everything you are asking for is possible.

I have to mention though that VuhDo has this problem of freezing when being opened in combat. Unfortunately, it's just there - nothing can be done with it really.

As an answer to your question about saving different configurations, I added a Profiles section to the main guide. smile.png

Also, is there a way to lock the frames, from raid position which I have set up but when I go to solo or the raid itself fades it sorta reposition's itself accordingly?

You can use 'Lock Panels' section in the General Tab. I personally use different profiles for raids and soloing (5-man) and I would suggest you the same. In this case you would be able to position the frames properly and lock them.

I was tweaking it during a moment as we que'd.Someone agro'd and I went to do the following:

Canceled (Not to apply my changes) -I think I was asked are you sure and I was like yes etc .. went to try to heal but everything even from before was wiped, which I had to reconfigure etc...

I think that 'Quiet Mode' button in 'Tools' Tab -> 'Settings' section may help for this kind of situations. It will silently overwrite the profile when you close the Options without confirmation dialog.

Okay...new to VuhDo and so far I truly enjoy using it.  With having two specs, I don't need it to really show when I am in my damage or tanking specs.  Is there a way to configure it not to show when not in a healing spec?

Thanks!

Found this after watching a 30min Guide, lol , wish i found this first.

I am having trouble with my frames, i am not able to heal with certain spells, my Riptide and Chain heal are working (Set to left and Right) but when i goto use button 1 (Healing Surge) i heal my self instead of the person i am moused over, i am clueless as to why this is happening.

i am new to Restro Shamans , as a side not im using a Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse (not sure if this is important or not)

any help is appreciated.

So a Guildee has bought to my attention Vuhdo and Elvui are not compatible and this is probably why it is not working correctly, i didnt think of this as both are recommended by the site lol.

I use both ElvUI and VuhDo for at least 4 years and didn't have any incompatibility problems when healing. Can't help with Logitech mouse though - I dumped it for a Roccat with less buttons. You can try to ask your question on the VuhDo Curse page - the creator often answers there.

Thank you for this guide! I have a few questions. I'm playing as Holy Priest. I did as you said regarding "NPCs" and "Target", but now npcs frame is horizontal. On your picture it's vertical. Can I change it?

Can I use my mouse side buttons as mouseover, like L.click and R.click, only it's side buttons?

1. Yes. Open Panels->General, choose NPS frame (click on it so its name become visible), untick 'Horisontal' in Alignment. Do not press 'apply all', so only this one will stay vertical.

2. Yes, you can. In the Spell section you can assign spells up to 16 mouse buttons without modifiers (same with <Shift>, <Alt>...)

Thank you, that helped a lot :D

What about VuhDo buff watch bar? It's always visible, but it never shows anything. And my Panel 1 is horizontal, is it possible to switch that "group 1" title up instead of being on left side?

1. Go to Buffs->General and untick 'Enable'. With no more raid buffs in legion there's no point in buff watch really (I never used it frankly). You can use it if you are a paladin with 3 personal buffs though...

2. I'm not sure you can - it's designed in this way for groups of more than 5 people. Let's say you are in a raid or BG with 2-8 groups, if you move the header up, it will mess up with the above group.

I'm new on Vuhdo, so i am very happy with this guide, thank you . One problem i can't solve by myself: the "Tooltips" in "Panels" are activated in mode standard, and no problem as long the option window is opened, but if i confirm and close the window, the tooltips disappear. Looks like a bug, for sure not the most important one, but for me it would be very helpfulif it could be solved in some way. Thanks. (Sorry my english, its not my native language)

Honestly, I just checked this option  - chose Tooltip->Standard->Apply All - and it worked fine. I can see the standard tooltip at its regular place when hovering over VuhDo frames.

hey Pandacho,

would you be so kind and tell me how to import all ur vuhdo-settings for resto-shaman? its kinda greedy, but i have absolutely no clue what to do, my bad english may be part of it.

When i import ur settings for the 20-man-raid, i get all kinds of error messages from vodoo ( i translate this, so it might be different in english version of vuhdo):

"Mana Bar" is related to the non-existing Bouquet "manabars: Mana only" or Health bar is related to the non-existing Bouquet "Health Bar: (Generic, gradient)

i have absolutely no clue what is going wrong here, but i would really like to have ur settings to change them so they suit me, instead of having nothing and try to figure all of this out, vuhdo is part english part german, driving me crazy

if u could help me in any way, it would be much appreciated!

cya

We have a big one today as Lorekeeper.net got a hold of Narrative Lead Steve Danuser and got a whole lot of new info from him on many different aspects of the Shadowlands. We even got an answer to the very frequently asked question about what happens to Alternate Universe souls when they die, aka is there an AU Shadowlands! And even thought the answer is somewhat vague, it's a definitive one - there is only one Shadowlands and all souls from any parallel universes end up there.

We also learned a lot more from the interview, like:
Time is different in the Shadowlands and that affects everything else (related to most of the other answers below). Other cosmic force characters (Life, Death, Order, Disorder, Light, Void), like the Naaru, don't go to the Shadowlands when they die, as they go back to their point of origin and reform over time, barring any intervention. Some Necromancer class rumors were dispelled, Maldraxxus wasn't intended as a tease for it. We got an explanation as to what exactly happens when someone is raised from the dead, with the Forsaken in focus and their relationship to Death as the cosmic force that now anchors their souls to their bodies, whereas Life served that function when they were alive. And so their souls are not in the Shadowlands but simply bound to their bodies by a different source than in life. We also found out what the relationships of couples and close relationships are like after death in the Shadowlands - with another relatively vague answer with Draka's example - basically she's busy with the events in the Shadowlands to think about her mortal life, and since time is different she doesn't really perceive it as an issue. There are additional parts of the Shadowlands the team didn't get to explore, but will in future updates. There's a whole lot to more unpack and read about in the massive interview, and all of it is extremely interesting, and not only for lore enthusiasts, as the Shadowlands really does act as a big setup for expanding the Warcraft universe. Definitely go check out the full thing as it's full of pretty huge revelations, even in addition to the highlights we pulled out above.

We have some more very interesting maps to take a look at, as redditor ChromeDragon has created a new territorial/political map for Classic/Vanilla, featuring both the civilized races and the somewhat more savage/adversarial mob races as well! These two maps are also interesting to use as comparison to how things changed later down the line in Warcraft's history, especially with the Cataclysm and more recent, tree-burning and Warfront events.
We start off with the new map, featuring the less civilized or forgotten races of Azeroth or rather the player antagonists int he game, those that don't show up on other similar maps. They don't hold quite as much territory, what with players coming in every 2 minutes and ransacking their homes, but it's still interesting to see where some of the more prominent settlements are. From Murlocs to Furbolgs, Centaurs, Harpies, Quillboars and so on, there's many of them out there controlling a lot of territory and while there might be some missing, it's still a great overview!

The exact description from ChromeDragon for the above was "Basically a political map of azeroth if you removed all the races capable of building two story buildings", which sparked quite a fun conversation over on reddit, so make sure to check that out as well.
And then there's the older, more traditional map, created quite a while ago, covering the territories of the races and tribes we're more familiar with, from playable races to NPC ones, like Orcs, Night Elves, Dwarves and organizations like the Scarlet Crusade, Cenarion Circle etc.

      Source 1, 2.

Here come more realm connections, and the citizens of Khadgar are terrified. The postponed connection of their realm with 3 others caused a little time travel accident and reverted many characters to their Mists of Pandaria days, or as Blizzard refer to it below it "ran into issues".
Let's hope it goes smoothly this time around, as the aftermath of the previous "issues" is still being resolved.
      Realm Connections (source)
Following regularly scheduled weekly maintenance on Tuesday, September 29, the following realms will be taken offline. During this additional maintenance period:
The Exodar and Medivh realms will be connected to the Alleria and Khadgar realms. As many players know, this connection was previously planned and ran into issues.
On Tuesday, we’ll begin the additional maintenance period for these four realms at 8:00 am. PDT (11:00 a.m. EDT), and the realms will come back online when the connection process is completed, which we’re estimating to be around 4:00 p.m. PDT (7:00 p.m. EDT).
