Zagam 1,983 Report post Posted May 22, 2014 yeah I was focus on the charts and not the words before it. Trying to figure what the break point would be at 575 which is what my trinket is with +16 Take breakpoint and divide by 1.08592. Round up.

Nyanchan 2 Report post Posted June 27, 2014 For destruction, what would it be better, a heroic ktt or a hwf bboy? If i understand correctly, if the trinkets were the same ilvl bboy will always give more dps (assuming goods of rng are on ur side) if its used correctly, like timed well with those 10 stacks and such. but ktt is simpler to use and more reliable? But in this case hwf bboy would be slightly better regardless just because its hwf?
Lockybalboa 618 Report post Posted June 27, 2014 Yes. HWF>H and BBoY used well > KTT
Nyanchan 2 Report post Posted June 27, 2014 Yes. HWF>H and BBoY used well > KTT Oh, mmm, has there been a post about tips and tricks for using BBoY?
Zagam 1,983 Report post Posted June 27, 2014 Oh, mmm, has there been a post about tips and tricks for using BBoY? There's not much to say other than this: Affliction - snapshot DoTs at 10 stack Destruction - cast Chaos Bolt at 5+ stacks Demonology - snapshot Doom or use Meta Soul Fires
KoragonArt 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) Hello you amazing warlocks. I finally got the normal version of KTT last night. Currently I use normal wf PBI and flex bboy. I've had the flex bboy for so long that I feel I've pretty much mastered the playstyle for destro, including the opener. This leaves me curious as to which trinket will truly be bettter, despite the difference in item level. I've read here that bboy, if played well, is better than ktt. But so often I feel like I can't make best use of it. It's never realistic to always get off that perfect cb at the 1 second window you have at 10 stacks, as hard as I try. anyway I'm rambling. At 574, normal ktt over flex bboy? It'd suuuuure be nice to get rid of the micromanaging of bboy. ALSO I've read that with ktt, you should always go gosac, and gosup with bboy? Why is that? Lockybalboa 618 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 KTT doesn't proc with pets, the pet does ~11% of your damage so it's better to buff your specs that can proc off of KTT then it is to just have the pet sitting there. I'd go with ilvl, reg KTT>Flex something. The difference you'll see is likely very small and will swing with RNG, but the safe-ish bet would be with what is stronger. KoragonArt 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 Much appreciated. Part of me will probably miss those massive chaos bolts that result in full procs/cds at 8+ stacks of bboy. But only a small part.
KoragonArt 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 I hope it doesn't look like I'm spamming but I have another question for you dudes. Like I said I've played with the bboy so long that I can't really recall the opener for when you have static proc trinkets. I know for bboy you want to build the 2nd ember as fast as possible in order to fire off two cb's, at least one of which buffed by consuming a backdraft. The destro guide here says not to do this for static trinkets and I totally get why. I'm just wondering about the specific sequence.
Liquidsteel 279 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 The opener is the same for both trinkets, enjoy!
Moozedude 49 Report post Posted September 12, 2014 The key to the opener is maximizing the PBoI proc that you are guaranteed (sort of) at pull. Whichever other trinket you have works within this framework, not modifying it.
