Icy Veins' 5 Years Anniversary: 200 Legion Beta Key Giveaway

Recommended Posts

Honestly looking forward to leveling again without having to go all the way across the continent to hit a new zone. I am interested in trying out all the classes and doubly ready to try out Demon Hunter.

I played wow for a long long time but, since MoP, I don't have enough time to farm as much as before, specialy in PvP.

Therefore, I really hope the new pvp system will make pvp more available for everyone and less gear dependent.

Of course I also can't wait to try the new demon hunter class, and the new class specializations like outlaw for rogues!

But on the other hand, I am not so fan of this artifact weapon line... I am afraid of the grinding needed and what bother me the most is that choosing a weapon will make dual specialization harder to deal with.

Thanks Icy Veins for all the great content you give us! Always been my first choice for info about blizzard games!

Keep up the good work!

I'm actually REALLY hyped for Legion.  I feel like things have been going WAY downhill over the years since Cata, and while I still enjoy aspects of the game, I'm definitely not playing daily like I used to.  If anything, I've fallen into maybe once or twice a month.  Seeing all the new things in Legion and seeing how they hired a larger team gives me a lot of hope that this will be the expansion to get things back on track.

New expansions are always exciting, class changes, new zones, and new raids, There's nothing more exciting that progressing through challenging content with new toys and trying to maximize your raid effectiveness to overcome raid bosses. Memories of 40 man Molten Core spending four hours on wiping on Ragnaros and then finally getting him down was my fondest WoW memory. The best thing about World of Warcraft for me at least is being part of a raid group.

Hello!
I think it's hard to tell what I am looking forward to in Legion.
If I must choose it would be the return of Illidan. Yes, not kidding. Back in burning crusade, I couldn't afford the money for the subscription, so I missed it.
The best thing was in the past when I could afford the money to finally play the game. It was a very good feeling joining this virtual community again.
I found Icy Veins about a year and a half ago, when I was searching for some Hearthstone guides /priest decks haha/, since that I am following the website weekly or monthly, depends on the time I have, but I never commented, nor registered, but I still felt like I was a part of the community.
Oh yeah and The Broken Isles look awesome, can't wait to get to Suramar!
Thanks for reading, may the force be with you, etc.

The hype is real. As a player that came fairly late into WoW I got thrown into a great community really fast. I transformed my experience from previous MMO's and started thoroughly enjoying this classic yet still up-to-date MMO. This is going to be the first expansion that I will go into as an officer of the guild, as a raider aiming to do mythics and a gold CM player that has his hopes set high for the new dungeon system. So I have the people, I have the experience and it feels like a team hype effort right now. The zones look beautiful and the raids can only get better. I cannot wait to dive in.

If I'm completely honest, this is the expansion I've been waiting for! Since Black Temple, fighting Illidan I'm sure there are so many of us who have wanted to role Demon Hunters (with their artifacts too!), I cannot contain my excitement for the introduction of Demon Hunters, also with some of the vast features Blizzard are including into the game - I've also just gotten back into PvP from spending the last few years raiding, my plan is to 50/50 PvE + PvP!

Exciting stuff!

I hoping it will be there better end-game content, which holds me in game longer then first 2 month since release.

I start play WoW since 1.12 patch, but at free servers. When ending TBC and starting WotlK I start played at offi server and I stil remember how I ding my first lvl 80 DK. I still holding screenshot from that moment :). I think this is my strongest memory from WoW. But at vanilla, we every day sitting at crossroad around bonfire and chatting with our small guild and after that we doing raids on Stormwind :-D I really love these moments from Vanilla, Open world PVP, raids on main city :)

The biggest thing I am excited for in Legion is how each class specialization will be getting its own identity. The amount of class lore that comes with Legion is going to be amazing and makes me want to level up each class in order to experience them all. Artifact weapons look really interesting and a type of game play that has never been seen before. I'm really looking forward to getting different skins and designs for them while progressing through the game. My fondest memory of world of warcraft is killing yogg+0 with my raiding guild. We all progressed through Ulduar for months and finally being able to get our meta complete and finish off the raid was an amazing experience. Hyped for Legion!!

I'm really interested about the expansion lore. But i'm also glad they are trying to make every class a little more unique again.

I am really looking forward to Legion. The wait for it is almost unbearable and getting beta access would help a lot! As an altoholic, I am most looking forward to getting as many artifacts as possible for as many specs as possible. In WoD, I haven't felt the desire to play alts as much as previous expansions so getting back to regularly playing alts will be welcome.

Also, I am hoping to see more theorycrafting about the new spells, talent and artifact powers. Theorycrafting has been on a downward spiral so I am glad there are forums like here on Icy Veins to continue all the value number crunching!

My favourite wow moment was at wotlk launch and leveling. It was about 5am and I got to the wrathgate cinematic and battle for Undercity. It was so epic.

Today, we release our Path of Exile site. It is not entirely finished yet, but the content is there and we felt comfortable sharing it with Path of Exile players from our current audience.
This is a project that we have been working on for quite some time (so nothing to do with the recent Diablo announcements or lack thereof). We developed a CMS from the ground up, using our many years of experience with Icy Veins as a basis for the various features we required on the publishing side of the site. We also added things such as a proper item database or a dev tracker. These are things we can't have on Icy Veins, because the tech the site is running on would not permit it. Hopefully, one day we can run Icy Veins on our new tech and do all these things, if we feel like it.
As I was saying above, the site is not 100% ready, but it is very close in terms of features. We worked hard in the past two weeks to fix all major bugs, so that end users can have a smooth experience, and we have enough content to cover the currently most popular builds. So we are waiting for your feedback!

Currently you will find the following things on the site: guides and news for Path of Exile, an item database (still missing out a couple of base items), a dev tracker (Official Forums + Twitter + Reddit), and of course forums where people can discuss about that game.
Our guide offering is currently as follows:
Triple Herald Blade Vortex Elementalist Build Arc Mines Saboteur Build Guide Glacial Cascade Mines Saboteur Build Guide Ancestral Warchief Ascendant Build Guide Ascendant Hit Elemental Build Guide Aurabot Ascendant, 8 Auras Build Guide The Cleave Ascendant Build Guide Herald of Agony Occultist Build Guide Frostbolt/Glacial Cascade Totems Hierophant Build Guide Uber Labyrinth Farmer Juggernaut Build Guide Rain of Arrows Deadeye Build Guide Tornado Shot Deadeye Build Guide The Baron Zombies/Skeletons Necromancer Build Guide Toxic Rain Pathfinder Build Blade Flurry Gladiator Build Guide Spectral Throw Raider Build Guide Cyclone Slayer Build Guide We also have a beginner guide for fresh exiles.
With all that said, we're hoping to see you on that new website and are looking forward to your comments!
Please welcome our newest website on Path of Exile!
