Feedback Wanted - heroic Il'gynoth

Based on what you see here, any notes for improvement?

We were smacking our heads against the wall with 20 people, dropped to 15 and I changed some talents (I took up Prosperity, SOTF, Spring Blossoms)

I went oom a couple of times, but nowhere near as quickly as when we had 20 people.

On self-reflection - I could be using my artifact cooldown more and maybe using innervate on cooldown.

Personally, I would have taken either IP or Germination over SB. The reason you are OOMing is because you move SO much in that fight. I really don't think SB is worth it there.

Thanks Blaine, great feedback and I'm sure it's valid! Will address this next raid.

      I am looking for critiques of my custom stat weights.  I want to improve it and get advice if there is a better way of calculating my numbers.  If you see basic errors with my number crunching, please let me know.

      Naked_Normal - 4608
      Naked_Crit - 9216
      Naked_Ticks - 6
      Naked_Extra_Tick - 0
      Naked_Tooltip_Rejuv - 26382
      Naked_Actual_Rejuv_with_4.8%_Mastery - 27648
      Naked_Actual_Rejuv_w/o_4.8%_Mastery - 26381.6 [Calculated by (Naked_Actual_Rejuv_with_4.8%_Mastery / 104.8%) = 27648 / 1.048 = 26,381.6]

      1421_Int_Trinket_Normal - 5502
      1421_Int_Trinket_Crit - 11002
      1421_Int_Trinket_Ticks - 6
      1421_Int_Trinket_Extra_Tick - 0
      I used a 1421 Int Trinket and ignored the crit procs.  We have 4.8% Mastery, which adds 4.8% to our healing even with no gear.  I divided by 1.048 to try to get to the base healing.
      Int_Weight = (6 x (1421_Int_Trinket_Normal - Naked_Normal) / 1.048) / 1421 [1421 in the amount of Intellect on the Trinket]
      Int_Weight = (6 x (5502-4608)/1.048) / 1421
      Int_Weight = 3.602

      1165_Mastery_Ring_Normal - 4685
      1165_Mastery_Ring_Crit - 9369
      1165_Mastery_Ring_Ticks - 6
      1165_Mastery_Ring_Extra_Tick - 0
      I used a 1165 Mastery and crit ring and then ignored the crit procs.
      Mastery_Weight = (6 x ((1165_Mastery_Ring_Normal - Naked_Normal) / 1.048)) / 1165 [1165 is the amount of Mastery on the Ring]
      Mastery_Weight = (6 x ((4685 - 4608) / 1.048)) / 1165
      Mastery_Weight = 0.3784

      406_Leech_Ring_Normal - 83
      406_Leech_Ring_Crit - 165
      406_Leech_Ring_Ticks - 6
      406_Leech_Ring_Extra_Tick - 0
      I used a Ring with 406 Leech, 745 Mastery and 1626 Crit.
      Leech_Weight = ((6 x 406_Leech_Ring_Normal - 745 * Mastery_Weight) / 1.048) / 406 [406 is the amount of Leech on the Ring]
      Leech_Weight = ((6 x 83 - 745 * 0.3784) / 1.048) / 406 [406 is the amount of Leech on the Ring]
      Leech_Weight = 0.5079

      945_Haste_Ring_Normal - 4608
      945_Haste_Ring_Crit - 9216
      945_Haste_Ring_Ticks - 6
      945_Haste_Ring_Extra Tick - 1
      945_Haste_Ring_Extra_Tick_Amount - 583
      I used a Ring with 945 Haste and 1626 Crit and ignored Crit procs.
      Haste_Weight = (945_Haste_Ring_Extra_Tick_Amount / 1.048) / 945 [945 is the amount of Haste on the Ring]
      Haste_Weight = (583 / 1.048) / 945
      Haste_Weight = 0.5887

      1055_Versatility_Trinket_Normal - 4710
      1055_Versatility_Trinket_Crit - 9420
      1055_Versatility_Trinket_Ticks - 6
      1055_Versatility_Trinket_Extra_Tick - 0
      I used a Trinket with 1055 Versatility and no other stats.
      Vers_Weight = (6 x ((1055_Versatility_Trinket_Normal - Naked_Normal) / 1.048)) / 1055 [1055 is the amount of Versatility on the Trinket]
      Vers_Weight = (6 x ((4710 - 4608) / 1.048)) / 1055
      Vers_Weight = 0.5535

      UI tooltip crit percentage increase for a 6518 Critical Strike with my gear before 6% bonus is 16.30%
      Crit_w_Gear - 16.3%
      Crit_Weight = 6 x (Naked_Crit - Naked_Normal) x (16.3% / 6518) [6518 is the total amount of Crit on my gear]
      Crit_Weight = 6 x (9216 - 4608) x (0.1630 / 6518)
      Crit_Weight = 0.6597

      I am going to increase my mastery weight since I primarily use HOTs and you have a 10% Mastery bonus for every HOT you have on a target.  I am going to increase my Mastery weight arbitrarily by 25% to account for this (choose your own weight as you prefer).
      Int_Weight = 3.602
      Mastery_Weight+25% = 0.3784 * 125% = 0.4730
      Leech_Weight = 0.5079
      Haste_Weight = 0.5887
      Vers_Weight = 0.5535
      Crit_Weight = 0.6597
      Total_Weight = Int_Weight + Mastery_Weight+25% + Leech_Weight + Haste_Weight + Vers_Weight + Crit_Weight
      Total_Weight = 3.602 + 0.4730 + 0.5079 + 0.5887 + 0.5535 + 1.0690
      Total_Weight = 6.3848

      Int = Int_Weight / Total_Weight x 100% = 3.602 / 6.3848 x 100% = 56.41
      Mastery = Mastery_Weight+25%  / Total_Weight x 100% = 0.4730 / 6.3848 x 100% = 7.41
      Leech = Leech_Weight / Total_Weight x 100% = 0.5079 / 6.3848 x 100% = 7.95
      Haste = Haste_Weight / Total_Weight x 100% = 0.5887 / 6.3848 x 100% = 9.22
      Versatility = Vers_Weight / Total_Weight x 100% = 0.5535 / 6.3848 x 100% = 8.67
      Critical = Crit_Weight / Total_Weight x 100% = 0.6597 / 6.3848 x 100% = 10.33
      My weights
      Int= 56.41
      Mastery = 7.41
      Leech = 7.95
      Haste = 9.22
      Versatility = 8.67
      Critical = 10.33

I come last in the raid, shaman and priest coming ahead of me and most fights im barely able to push and hold 300K in heals. on the rare chance i push higher but only on the short fights. Any help would be nice so i dont feel like im letting down my raid.

      Hey all,
      I initially entered Legion with the plan of running mythic dungeons. My spec reflects this
      http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/area-52/Mcvanderhuge/simple
      Typical Log where me and the druid duel for top honours.
      https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/TM31KWrQfYDaxyAw/
      So I recently joined a raid team and I generally run a rhythm of riptide HW/HS x2 with healing stream and healing rain interspersed throughout. I like this spec, its pretty chill and, like previously stated, rhythmic. Some fights I target tanks, some I purposely don't focus them.

      I am trying to explore a more chain heal focused spec. And its quite a deviation for how I am used to play. As my dungeon spec I knew what I was likely going to cast 2 or 3 casts ahead of time. But I am so uncomfortable with chainheal that I feel like I am a waste. So I have a bunch of questions.
      To wit.
      1) My current dungeon spec (along with tht trinket) makes me extremely mana efficient. I cn finish a fight with whatever level of mana you want from 0 to 90%. This is something I really want to keep (perhaps not to such an extreme) but fear losing on a chain heal spec. So what do you guys do to regulate your mana usage. I seem to be using a lot more mana whenever i try to group heal.
      2) How do you find the use of cloudburst totem in a few fights? I understand its power, i don't understand how to harness it. For instance, krosus. Do i plop it down before the slam to time the burst for just after? What am I doing before hand when healing isnt as needed... I feel like it I am wasting my heals prior to the slam, just so that the burst totem hits big. Why am I healing big at a tgime when it isnt AS needed just to get a big burst heal later. If you could give your philosophy on that conundrum I am dealing with, that'd be great.
      3) How often do you guys change specs throughout a raid? One talent change i anticipate changing a lot is  between ancestral guidance and deluge.  In my dungeon spec, I don't change a thing, ever. Call it lazy, and you'd be right. The result, is I am pretty good at my current spec, but I wanna be good at the other talent usage too. So how varied are your specs from boss to boss?
      4) I've never used Ancestral Guidance. The 3 nearby allies part is kind of off-putting in its lack of clarity. Is it 3 nearest? or 3 most injured within a radius? How does that work, and how do you make it work for you. Do you position yourselves near a damage location? Like, close but not too close to the carrion plague for Tichondrius?

      Thanks for all your help in advance.

      EDIT: The mystery, by the looks of it seems to be nothing but a direct connection to the overhealing when investigating even further comparing many logs and bosses.
      I've got a very bothersom issue where I don't understand why my average Healing Wave cast is so much lower than many others which I'll show in the links to compare below:
      Links comparing Skorpyron HC between myself and Keehn (running same build):
      Me: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/hTtbyQFznGYqCfXN#fight=1&type=healing&source=13
      Keehn: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/hwPQHfAz3k28gTjp#fight=4&type=healing&source=35
      My armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/magtheridon/Arkpit/simple
      Keehn armory: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/sylvanas/Keehn/simple
      I want to focus on the insane difference in the Healing Wave average cast. It's over double than mine. The difference in gear just doesn't add up for me.
      2k int difference, he got the boots legendary that gives extra 10%, he got a relic that gives it additional 15% and the mastery is bit higher but given all of those things I still don't understand how this works.
      I know how our Mastery works but we are talking average cast through 50 in the same fight doing the same amount of casts of all the other abilities as well. It's been bothering me so much these past days that I cannot figure out how my average casts on Healing Wave is literally half on average.
      Any help to sorting out this mystery would be greatly appreciated <3
