Frost in 7.1.5

Patch 7.1.5 is a few days away, and I think it's probably safe to assume that no major changes will occur in the last few days before it's release. This being the case, I was wondering what to expect for 7.1.5, namely:

Will we be forced to use a BoS build on patch day? Or is OBRA still the way to go?

Are there any rotation/talent changes we need to make?

What is the general stat priority? (I know simming is better)

With the secondary stat squish, what are the new breakpoints?

Do we still want fishbrul special food? Still prolonged power?

Which legendaries are better than others? Any way we could get a legendary rankings list?

Any other notable changes that we need to actively "change" something for?

OBRA will be fine. BoS will pass it if played perfectly, though, but it's high risk/reward. Current sims show ~1% diff.

OBRA stats and breakpoints are the same, I think -- really depends on the final, final numbers on the stat squish. BoS should be favoring MA > HA  is my understanding, but don't think it has breakpoints.

I'm not sure we've needed/used fishbrul since 7.1. I usually use whichever secondary is currently simming with the highest gain (for me this tends to be versatility b/c I prefer haste on my gear since the food is cheaper than haste food).

Still prolonged power unless you need the minute gains from OW or don't play well enough to get as much from OW. POF and US scale really well with PP :).

My understanding is that wrist and belt are still best for OBRA. Belt and Ring will be best for BOS. Helm now has throughput on bosses AND due to the many aoe fights, the helm is good, but hasn't simmed as high as Belt or Wrist. If using helm, you just use RW b/f a Rime proc.

Frost changes for 7.1.5 primarily centered around making BoS viable.

Wow that was pretty thorough. Thanks for clearing that up! I really, really, really prefer OBRA, so I'm glad it will still be okay. I would do BoS if it was better (and technically 1% is better, but not enough to win me over), but I really didnt want to. Plus, I feel like BoS would be very difficult to pull off on fights that require you to move away for mechanics for a while (venom on Renferal etc.)

With secondaries being worth less per point in 7.1.5 (correct me if Im wrong about that, but that was my understanding), won't it be hard to hit ~20% haste and ~25% crit? And then wont getting versatility on top of that be even harder?

Hey as the title says just want someone to critique me and point out areas I can improve at. I'm relatively new to reading logs so I don't quite know where to dig up all the info or what I'm looking at sometimes.

All applications will be reviewed and considered however if you are playing a class/spec combination we need then your chances of joining will be higher.
A little bit of info about us:
We are a group of friends and serious raiders on EU Twisting Nether looking to recruit skilled like-minded players into our roster for Mythic Legion raids and onwards. We will offer a sociable and fun raiding environment while maintaining a strong desire for progression. Our Discord is very active and we encourage all members to chat and play together not only for raids. The guild formed late March 2016 and fully cleared 13/13 Mythic Hellfire Citadel pre nerf shortly after. We've since been improving our world ranking every tier.
We currently raid 3 days per week on Mythic: Wednesday, Sunday and Tuesday 19:15-22:15 server time. While it is not a lot we try to make the most out of our time. We run optional heroic/normal/alt/previous tier raids during off days in which raiders are welcome to come to. Our members also play other games outside raid times together where anyone is welcome to join(LoL, Dota, HotS, Overwatch etc.).
Our loot system for Mythic is RC Loot Council.
      What we expect from you:
      - We are a raiding guild with only a 9 hour per week schedule so you are expected to attend and be ON TIME! However we understand things can come up sometimes but please let us know.
      - Be able to speak and understand the English language and not be afraid to communicate with other members during raids.
      - Actively doing dungeons/world quests to improve your gear and artifact weapon.
      - Have a strong understanding of the current raid tier and be able to play your class to it's potential.
      - Always come to raids prepared(i.e. bringing food and potions, etc).
      - Come fully gemmed and enchanted with the correct stats for your class and spec.
      - Access to Discord and a working microphone.
      - Have a computer that can handle 20 man raiding and a good, stable internet connection.
      - Exorsus Raid Tools, Weakauras2 and RC Loot Council addons installed. We may ask you to install others.

If you have any further questions please contact us at battletags: Vims#21684 Azkey#21565
To apply please visit our guild website: http://asylum-tn.enjin.com/recruitment

Okay, so i got a 3rd legendary for my frost mage, Sephuz's Secret, the issue is that I have the crafted legendary shoulders and Lady Vashj's gloves equipped. My stats: Crit 33%, Haste 23%, Mastery 32%, and Vers 4%. When I equip the ring, my crit and haste bump quite a bit up, and i lose a bit of mastery (because the gloves i use as a replacement have crit and haste too). Should I keep gloves on for their equip bonus, or should i replace them with Sephuz's for the stats and ilvl increase? I know my crit will be above the soft cap with ring, but i can swap gems and enchants for haste ones as noted on the guide.
      ~Thanks, Underclocked

So I've been playing around with SimC and every sim with Horn of Winter yields better DPS than Freezing Fog, between 9k and 11k more dps. What do you guys think? Is HoW better than FF without the legendary helm? Should FF be taken regardless?

So here I am, consulting Icy Veins forums. I am a Frost Death Knight, with an iLevel of 885 that is REALLY struggling with my dps. I'm running a BoS build because it was recommended to my by other Frost Dks. I have done a ton of research about this issue to no avail and I really need some professional help.
Here's my armory and my charts for my last Heroic Nighthold with my guild

Note: I do see that my Haste is incredibly high, I'm currently working to get the 4-piece tier gear.
