Knights of the Frozen Throne Card Reveal: Sindragosa

Recommended Posts

The Mage Legendary from Knights of the Frozen Throne has been revealed, and it is called Sindragosa. It is the seventeenth card to be revealed from the upcoming expansion.

Sindragosa is an interesting card, and a difficult one to evaluate. It is also worth noting that it is a Dragon.

Sindragosa provides plenty of value. It is a very slow minion, but we have recently seen with Medivh, the Guardian, that slow value is very playable in the correct deck. Value Mage has been a feature of the Journey to Un'Goro meta under various names, and there is no reason to believe that will change after Knights of the Frozen Throne is released. The main obstacle to it seeing play will be the competition from cards such as Archmage Antonidas and Medivh, and whether there are enough slots available in decks for multiple high Mana cards.

This is a card that we can expect to be tested on multiple live streams in the early days of the expansion. At the very least, it is another card that will allow people with smaller collections to play with some of the most powerful cards in the game. What Sindragosa's future is beyond that, is difficult to predict. Feel free to post your predictions in this thread!

I think it's plenty good; just like Rag and Ysera it has an immediate impact that's very hard to stop; priest maybe can pull some shenanigans if they're lucky (silence or control), but otherwise it's a 3 card swing that your oppenent can't stop easily, with one of them being an 8/8 and the other two being random legendaries (which on average give decent value).

Sindragosa minions proc'ing a Sindragosa and N'zoth?   It'll happen to someone.

Seems usefull to me - and absolutly great for arena.

8/8 is a fair body (you often use similar minions in the arena) and the two Frozen Champions will give you more cards. Which is very important in arena.

I mean.  I think mediv is generally better, however this isn't weak to weapon removal and has some serious N'zoth syngergy, but then again, so does Pyros.  I think if the tokens were 1/1's it would be so much better, the inability to kill your own tokens will probably be a major draw back.  That being said, it seems very playable, if we get a decent amount of good death rattle minions I can definitely see value mage going the N'zoth route.Insert other media

Well, you can just ping them. Admittedly that makes it even slower. Certainly great arena card.

Not convinced it'll see constructed play but it'll be fun trying. Problem is it's way slower than medivh, and more random. Medivh is slow for one turn, but then you regain massive amounts of tempo over the next turn or two (when you don't get oozed).

I should have been a little more explicit, what I meant is that without the 1 attack it is much more difficult to efficiently kill them and I only think it will see constructed play if there is enough death rattle minions to make a value N'Zoth mage deck, otherwise Mediv will just be better.

This will turn into the new Yogg for any highlights video - Sind into N'zoth and another Sind etc.
