As the fel-scarred planet Argus looms in the skies overhead, Azeroth’s greatest heroes prepare a desperate mission into the heart of the Burning Legion’s stronghold. Succeed, and Azeroth may at last know peace; fail, and all worlds will burn. The battle against the forces of the Legion has all come down to this.

Thousands of years ago, the eredar of Argus lived in tranquility. The eredar’s three strong leaders —Archimonde, Kil’jaeden, and Velen—ruled their people in harmony. But the achievements of the eredar gained the attention of the the fallen titan, Sargeras.

When most of the populace turned to darkness under Sargeras’ control, becoming demons, Velen—gifted with the power of prophecy—guided his followers off the planet with the help of the naaru. They fled Argus, taking the name draenei, meaning “exiled ones.” Argus was devoured by the Burning Legion soon after.

The journey to Argus begins within the Exodar. Velen is gathering allies to join him on a journey most perilous aboard a new ship known as the Vindicaar. Once on Argus, adventurers progress through a series of story chapters in three new regions. Each week, new elements of the story on Argus become available, telling the tale of what was, what is, and what could be.

To help you prepare for your expedition to this hostile world, we’ve provided an itinerary for your time ahead:

Week 1: Begin the invasion of Argus and embark on an epic storyline beginning in Krokuun. Team up with the Army of the Light and take the fight to the very heart of the Legion in the Antoran Wastes. Gain access to new World Quests and Emissaries on Argus.
Week 2: Finish the story of Krokuun and travel to the ruined draenei city of Mac’Aree. Gain access to Invasion Points and thwart the Burning Legion’s plans on other worlds. Additional World Quests in Mac’Aree are available along with access to Invasion Points.
Week 3:  Finish the Shadows of Argus storyline, unlock all World Quests, and venture into the new dungeon, the Seat of the Triumvirate. Activate your Netherlight Crucible on the Vindicaar to begin forging Relics.

THE HAND OF FATE

Your journey from Azeroth begins with the quest The Hand of Fate.  Azeroth’s heroes are asked to travel to the Exodar and meet with Velen and his gathering allies—many of whom are familiar faces. It’s all hands on deck for the arduous task ahead.

EMBARKING ON THE VINDICAAR

After you join up with Velen and the rest of the invasion party, it’s time to embark aboard the new draenei vessel — the Vindicaar. It serves as the base of operations for your time on Argus and is outfitted with a variety of conveniences that become accessible over time, including an innkeeper, mailbox, profession trainers, portal to Dalaran, repairs, quest givers, vendors, the Vindicaar Matrix Core, Navigation Console, and Netherlight Crucible.

Netherlight Crucible
The Netherlight Crucible is a forge that will help you enhance the relics on your Artifact weapon. As you progress through the storyline on Argus, you’ll unlock the forge’s abilities and the additional power of your Artifact weapon through your chosen relics.

Navigation Console
The Navigation Console aboard the Vindicaar connects to beacons on the surface of Argus.  These beacons will help you quickly travel from point to point throughout Argus and back to the Vindicaar when needed.

The Matrix Core
Several Vindicaar powers unlock within the Matrix Core at the heart of the ship as you progress through Argus. These powers can be used to aid you along the way.

  • Light’s Judgment: This allows you to target and fire Light’s Judgment, the Vindicaar’s main weapon, while on Argus.
  • Lightforged Warframe: This allows use of the Lightforged Warframe mechanized armor suit while on Argus.
  • Shroud of Arcane Echoes: This allows the use of the Shroud of Arcane Echoes’ power, making you untargetable by enemies for a limited time while on Argus.
  • Fel Heart: The Fel Heart of Argus allows you, when on Argus, to be brought back to life after taking fatal damage and continually heal while not in combat.

Thaumaturge Vashreen (Ethereal Vendor)
Veiled Argunite can be earned in a variety of ways including killing rare elite mobs. Much like Nethershards on the Broken Shore, this currency can be used to purchase Relinquished items from Thaumaturge Vashreen that create ilvl 910 soulbound gear for your specialization.

Profession Trainers
Not all Profession trainers can be found on the Vindicaar, but with a new world to exploit explore, there are new opportunities for new crafted items. Azeroth’s finest will need the best equipment to take on the challenges ahead— and opportunity awaits for their crafters.

TAKING THE HIGH GROUND

Like the Broken Shore, the demonic forces of the Burning Legion aren’t going to roll out the red carpet for you. To get a foothold on the surface of Argus, you’ll need to make sure the Vindicaar is protected from the Legion’s defenses. While the devastation to this once shining world is widespread, there are bright spots among the new —and perhaps old—allies along the way. There are two new factions to encounter along the way: the Army of the Light and Argussian Reach.

  • The Army of the Light: The Army of the Light has been at war with the Legion on Argus for centuries, engaging in tactical guerilla strikes using their warship, the Xenedar. While outnumbered, they aren’t down—and they’re certainly not out. They continue to fight with cunning, striking at points of opportunity quickly and moving on.
  • Argussian Reach: Although many struggled to oppose the Burning Legion's conquest of Argus, not all were able to escape. Emboldened by the arrival of new allies, these refugees and outcasts stand united in their mission to reclaim their home.

TRAVELING ARGUS

Lightforged Beacons are similar to flight paths and are discovered as you progress through the storylines within Krokuun, Antaron Wastes, and Mac’Aree. These beacons transport you quickly back to the Vindicaar or out to any additional beacons you’ve discovered throughout the three regions.

NEW WORLD QUESTS

As with the Broken Isles and Broken Shore, World Quests become available throughout the various regions as you venture through Argus. They offer a variety of rewards and a new Emissary Quests that align with the new factions Army of the Light and Argussian Reach.

There’s plenty to learn about both past and present Argus as you progress through the regions and experience the stories of those who have been impacted by the Burning Legion. For some, it will be a tale of redemption; for others, it is a tale of deepest loss. In the end, it’s a story that the future of Azeroth depends on.

      Who We Are
Tequila Sundown is a new raid team forming within the <Karma Horde> guild on US-Stormreaver. Lead by a husband/wife team with high-level raiding experience dating back to WotLK, we're building a "positively determined" progression team that will maintain a light-hearted atmosphere while tackling mythic difficulty content. We're mature adults with jobs and family seeking like-minded players who have a passion for the game but want to avoid the needless angst or drama that often gets associated with progression raiding. We log on to have fun - so come have some fun with us!

      A Team Within a Community
Our raid team is one of four within the larger guild of <Karma Horde>, which was formed back during WotLK. As such, the guild and Discord are very active and social. There are always people around online and in-game. The community atmosphere is welcoming and friendly to players of all levels. The guild enforces a Code of Conduct that has zero tolerance for hate/offensive speech.

We care more about the people we play with than their item levels or progression rankings. We want players who are going to log in on non-raid nights and be down for all the other things we're into: pushing mythic+, doing world quests, PVP shenanigans, achievement hunting, hyper-competitive fishing.. there's so much to do and so many ways to enjoy the game. This is our favorite hobby and we'd like to play with you if it is yours, too.

      Progression Goals
We strive for a fun environment that takes the challenges of mythic seriously and giving the content the respect it deserves. Our aim is, as all mythic teams, full clear of content but with always keeping the friendly spirit of camaraderie alive. Performance matters, but so does staying positive and finding the fun in the difficulty of a raid.
We do not require mythic raid experience to join our team but we do expect mythic-level dedication and accountability from all of our raiders.

      Raid Days/Times
      Our mandatory raids are:
      Tuesdays 8:45pm PT - 11:45pm PT
      Thursdays 8:45pm PT - 11:45pm PT
We will also establish an optional Sunday night raid to clear the difficulty below our current progression, ie, Normal if we're progressing on Heroic, Heroic if we're progressing on Mythic.

      Recruitment Needs
DPS: All specs welcome, ranged and melee.
Healers: Will consider all, but bonus points if you're a druid or priest.
      Tank: no current needs.

      The Nitty Gritty
If you're intrigued, please check out our wiki on the <Karma Horde> subreddit. This will give you the inside picture on how we're going to operate as a raid team.

Every once in a while r/WoW goes into a craze over a topic or theme, whether it's Class Hall hot tubs, super holes in one, the Inky Black Potion, they always grab on to a detail and just run with it. The most recent of these heroic deeds features the Warchief of the Horde, as a a specific shot from the Battle for Azeroth cinematic has inspired redditors.
It all started innocently enough, as users wondered how she would look in her pre-undead form:

      Source.

      Source.
Which moved on to "if Sylvanas looked more like her ingame model":

      Source.
Then we started digging gold as something didn't feel quite right to Eyegleam , so he fixed it (this one is probably my favorite of the bunch):

      Source.
Then came the usual "I edited Sylvanas a bit too" type posts, noting unexpected:

      Source.
But then it got interesting. And by interesting I mean weird. For some reason the WoD key art came calling back in a... specific way:

If Sylvanas was a Spooky Undead Axe Midget.
As you can imagine, things escalated from there, and this particular one shows a vast knowledge of reddit meme crazes:

Sylvanus as Argus under Inky Black Potion.
And then all hell broke loose:

Ion as cinematic sylvanas as in-game model sylvanas.

If Sylvanas looked more like Andiun as Ion as Cinematic Sylvanas as In-Game model Sylvanas.

      Sylvanas as Mankriks Wife.

If Sylvanas looked more like Andiun as Ion as Cinematic Sylvanas as In-Game model Sylvanas as old In-Game model Sylvanas.
There's certainly plenty more where that came from, but these are enough for now. If you happen upon more, feel free to post them in comments, as there's rarely enough of crazy stuff like this around.

Summary of the latest Q/A with Game Director Ion Hazzikostas about Patch 7.3.5 and beyond.
      Watch Now
No questions about WoW Classic will be answered in this Q/A. In BfA, the Azerite system adds depth and customization that was used for Tier sets. For Battle for Azeroth, a lot of art variety will be added to the armor. There will be 1 appearance per armor type though, but more variety across zones. For transmog collectors it means more customization. There will be unique trinkets from raids. Azerite armor from raids will provide properties that can be found only in raids. Assembling people and maintaining schedule needs to feel worthwhile and properly rewarding. Patch 7.3.5 TL;DR: We'll see zone scaling, Legion epilogue quest content, Ulduar Timewalking and a preview of the new Silithus battleground (Seething Shore). In BfA, the focus shifts from racial identity to the faction conflict. Unlocking Allied races is more story-driven. Reputation barriers will be lifted. Doing the campaign should suffice. Heritage armor is restricted to races. More Allied races will be added in the future, but they want to add those that make sense story-wise first. Hunched races - Orc is the big one here. From the early beginning, we saw Thrall / Saurfang that had proper posture and it was a repeated request and they totally understand it. Darskpear Trolls will remain hunched - it's a part of the troll silhouette. Zandalari Trolls are upright though. Prestige system in BfA? They're looking at how the feeling of progression has been in Legion and are re-evaluating a lot of stuff. They want to make sure Prestige rewards are still available. Artifact skins in BfA  will be spec-restricted. Far fewer Legendary items will be seen in BfA, Blizzard will make them where it makes sense. As of now, they have no specific Legendaries in mind. No plans to change the Mythic raid size at the moment. The raid structure remained the same in Warlords, Legion and the trend will continue in BfA. They want to explore an option to enable Mythic cross-server raiding sooner. The team feels that Tomb of Sargeras was too difficult on Mythic difficulty. A few months after Antorus opens, there will be nerfs to Aggramar and Argus the Unmaker on Mythic. Is Aman'Thul's Vision personal loot? There's value in preserving discovery. We'll see in two weeks. When Mythic Antorus opens (Dec 5), you'll be able to get Mythic rewards up to +15. Order Hall Cache rewards will be retroactive.  Will Titanforging still allow you to get Mythic quality gear in Normal raids? Yes. It's about the moment of surprise. While you can still get a lucky drop, the Mythic raider is in all cases better geared than that lucky player. Odds of Titanforging will be looked into. They think it's happening too often. The idea of upward loot scaling is being carried forward. The hard cap on Titanforging would limit progression. World PvP will be revitalized in BfA. Creating a space where players who are looking for PvP can more reliably run across each other is the priority right here. Some players don't want to server transfer, yet they are stuck on servers with faction imbalance. The current thinking is to preserve the identity of RP-PvP communities. Legion is the expansion that brought the biggest class changes to World of Warcraft. It's jarring to come back only to see your class vastly reworked. Demonology will see a significant rework and Survival Hunter (the execution of the fantasy will be looked into). In terms of class changes, a good analogy would be Wrath of the Lich King to Cataclysm transition, minus removing 20 points of talents and adding 3 abilities to every class. Class buffs provide utility and they are returning in BfA. Some Artifact traits will be made baseline or baked into talents. For example Stormkeeper is a new Elemental Shaman talent available in BfA. Removing drawbacks from abilities is an area they are the most hesitant to entrench. What's happening with Hati for BM? It won't be carried forward. It's tied to Titanstrike.  It's cool to have multiple pets up as BM. and it's definitely something they could expand upon in the future. Improving animations is a long-term effort. New Warlock animations should be ready for the BfA pre-patch. Relics diluted the excitement of weapon rewards. The plan is to go back to regular weapon drops. The Underlight Angler will be carried forward, unlike other Artifacts. 50 characters per account limit will probably not be increased, but they're listening to community feedback.
