Yep definitely disappointed in Serpent Sting.  I mean he pulls out a small crossbow, and fires a green dot, but with AotE and Raptor Strike he sends a flying spirit eagle screeching at his target?

oh well I guess not everyone can be satisfied.

One is the Avenging Wrath cd of SV, the other is a rotational ability but uses one of the most recent new animations that was previously exclusive to Outlaw Rogues afaik, so not thaaaaaat bad :P

It's growing on me, even if all this pretty ranged stuff loses a bit of flair if we're a melee damage spec which means standing behind the tentacle monster with every other class who's better at it than you, graphics mashed up together.

Actually, it's showing Aspect of the Eagle in BfA as just a cooldown to allow Raptor Strike/Mongoose Bite to be used from range and Survival has a completely new DPS Cooldown called Coordinated Assault. Unless Coordinated Assault gets some kind of nice visual displaying you and your pet fighting in tandem, I do feel like Survival is going to be getting a bit shafted having Coordinated Assault probably having you just turn Red like Bestial Wrath as the main DPS Cooldown and then a utility Cooldown to allow you to better do DPS while out of range/Harpoon is on Cooldown to gapclose having such a flashy animation tied to it.

Obviously that's just my opinion on it, but I'm sure there will be people who agree that the only DPS Cooldown Survival has being incredibly underwhelming and completely outshone by something used only in certain situations is a bit odd and potentially removes any sense of power gain or increased strength the player feels from visuals during the window when they use their DPS Cooldowns.

At least for Serpent Sting, they didn't just copy and paste the Pistol Shot animation from Rogues and made it a mini Crossbow which feels way more Hunter-y than a concealed Pistol firing a poison tipped arrow would ever.

Lots of good points in your post as well as this! I've loved the animation on my own Outlaw alt and it's great to see it with its own flavour for SV. The bandit / pirate theme of Outlaw thankfully fits the otherwise peculiar choice for a stealth class to shoot a pistol - hardly a subtle weapon - into someone at point blank range, part of me wonders if we'll see Swords and other weapons (S H O T G U N A X E) with pistols built into their hilt to add to this fantasy, similar to something like Cervantes' weapons from the Soul Calibur series.

Aspect of the Eagle could be useful anyway in conjunction with Mongoose Bite talent, which would benefit from the increased range, but say, also allow you to realistically dps at least two split targets at the same time during burn phases with minimal movement, but besides that, increased crit chance for 20 seconds (more with talent) for you and the pet seems to add up to a lot more consistent damage when I look at the new Mastery, which was a bit of a low for SV in Legion.

yeah, pretty disappointed in the eagles flying at the enemies. At first i thought its just a placeholder animation. But now i worry, that this will go to live later.

In my opinion the animation of a quick meelee strike, becoming a range attack, should be a slice that flies really quick. that would look awesome. well... :)

Reddit user juckrebel managed to somehow open a trade window with an actual NPC merchant!
Every now and then, players stumble upon funny bugs in the game, and this one is no different.
Juckrebel somehow manage to bring up a trade window when interacting with a goblin vendor, which is quite unusual since trading is restricted to players. The OP shared a screenshot of the trade window with the NPC on Reddit.

Did anything similar ever happen to you?
