Today's huge patch 14.4, aka the Rise of the Mech, brings us a whole lot of new features, including the new N1p-Sn4p legendary, 18 cards getting buffed, Reckless Experimenter getting tweaked, big improvements to the reconnect feature, being able to access and edit your collection even when offline, new card backs, a new Arena set rotation, matchmaking improvements that will reduce matching the same player or class multiple times in a row, and a whole lot of bug fixes!

While a lot of bugs are being removed, some are also being added, as the Dalaran Heist Chapters 2-5 getting hit with several visual issues with the tracking of which boss a players is on, the crowns for the heroes that have beaten a chapter etc. You can check all of those out in the blue post under the patch notes.

Today’s Hearthstone update adds a new neutral Legendary Minion, card buffs for every class, new Arena sets, and much more! Read on for details about the Rise of the Mech update.

Introducing SN1P-SN4P!

Make the most of the Rise of the Mech event by logging in anytime between June 3 and July 1 and you’ll earn a golden copy of the new neutral Legendary Mech SN1P-SN4P! Crash this clawed clunker into another Mech to build a behemoth of a bot, then do it again!

NEUTRAL__BOT_700_enUS_SN1PSN4P_Gold.png

Missed the event? Normal SN1P-SN4P can still be crafted for the usual cost of 1600 Arcane Dust.

  • Important Note: SN1P-SN4P will be considered part of the The Boomsday Project and will rotate with that set, however SN1P-SN4P will NOT drop from The Boomsday Project card packs. Golden SN1P-SN4P will only be obtainable as part of the Rise of the Mech event, and the normal SN1P-SN4P can only be crafted with Arcane Dust.

Card Changes

The terrible tinkerer Blastmaster Boom has been busy in the lab and has cooked up some buffs to cards from every class! For more details on these changes, including developer insights, check out the Rise of the Mech announcement blog here.

Want to see these updated cards in action? Be sure to tune in to the Mech-vitational event being held June 3-4.

Reckless Experimenter:

PZ14WIU1N5821559354141772.pngcardchanges_arrow.png4VXQG5RAMD8G1559354141770.png

We’ve decided to make a change to how Reckless Experimenter functions due to an unwanted interaction with SN1P-SN4P that allows for an early-game infinite damage combo in Priest decks. We’re also aware of some interactions that SN1P-SN4P creates in Wild when played alongside multiple Mechwarpers, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on how that plays out over the next few weeks.

Players will be able to disenchant Reckless Experimenter for its full Arcane Dust value for two weeks.

Quality of Life Changes:

Offline Icon

Reconnect Improvements:
  • Players who are disconnected from Hearthstone due to an unstable connection, switching applications, or by locking their mobile devices will no longer be directed back to the login/launch screen when attempting to reconnect.
  • The game will now seamlessly reconnect in the background from any screen, instead of only during gameplay. This includes during deck editing, or while browsing the Collection Manager.
    • Note: We are still improving this feature, and you may encounter some issues with the current version.
  • A new popup has been added to alert players of their offline/reconnect status.
Accessing Hearthstone Offline:
  • Players can now access their collection even when their device has lost connection to the Internet.
    • The following features of the Collection Manager can now be accessed while offline:
      • View owned and unowned cards in the collection
      • Create Decks
      • Edit Decks
      • Delete Decks
      • Rename Decks
      • Set Favorite Heroes
      • Set Favorite Cardbacks
      • Opening a pack that was in the process of being opened
    • Any changes made in the collection manager while offline will be saved on the player's device until the next time they regain network access. Note that some changes may be lost if a player creates multiple decks or edits the same deck simultaneously on multiple devices.

Matchmaking Improvements:

  • We've implemented a new feature to reduce chances of matching against the same player and same class multiple times in a row. Some exceptions may occur when players have few matchmaking options near their rank.
  • Match quality should be improved for players in ranks 25 – 21.

Arena Set Rotation

ArenaUpdate_14p4_600x192_EK01.png

Blastmaster Boom needs more test subjects, and what better place to find them than the Arena? Starting with the Rise of the Mech update, the available cards in Arena drafts will be rotating to the following explosively exciting sets:

  • Classic
  • Basic
  • Goblins vs. Gnomes
  • The Grand Tournament
  • One Night in Karazhan
  • The Boomsday Project
  • Rise of Shadows

Card Backs

Game Improvements and Bug Fixes

  • Fixed several issues encountered when making changes to windowed mode, fullscreen mode, and when resizing the game.
  • Fixed a visual issue causing Flare to animate twice when drawing a Cast When Drawn card.
  • Fixed an issue causing the animation times for Kalecgos and Rebuke to play at a different speed from other similar effects.
  • The animation for Togwaggle's Scheme shuffling a high number of cards (5+) has been updated to shuffle in batches of 5 cards and at a higher speed.
  • Hadronox's Deathrattle animation no longer appears larger than intended when it triggers an opponent's Duplicate secret.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Kabal Chemist to disconnect your opponent when played.
  • Playing Soularium and Plot Twist quickly together will no longer cause a visual issue.
  • Fixed an issue causing the game to freeze if Voidcaller is drawn at the start of your turn while Fel Lord Betrug and Spiritsinger Umbra are on your side of the board.
  • Triggering a secret that was transformed from Shifting Scroll or Chameleos no longer causes the client to lock up for both players.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause streaming data to stop downloading if the game's language was changed during the download process.
  • Fixed issue where the Collection Manager’s filters would not work for newly created accounts.
  • Fixed an issue where heroes would briefly display the banned banner in the collection manager.
  • Fixed an issue which would occasionally leave the screen blurry after finishing a game under certain circumstances.
  • [Monster Hunt] Fixed an issue where Monster Hunt bosses would sometimes incorrectly be displayed as Gobbles during the upcoming boss fight screen.
  • [Dalaran Heist] Bartender Bob should no longer show an empty speech bubble upon exiting a friendly encounter.
  • [Android] Changed how texture packs on Android devices are handled. This may cause some users to have to redownload these assets.
  • [Mobile] Fixed an issue that could cause players to get duplicate season roll popups when relogging on a mobile device.

Blizzard LogoDalaran Heist Bugs (source)

Hey everyone,

We wanted to make you all aware of an issue being introduced with today’s (6/3) update that will affect chapters 2-5 of The Dalaran Heist. We are actively working on a fix, and hope to have something out later this week to address the following:

  • Players who are in Chapter 2 – 5 of the Dalaran Heist will be shown the Chapter 1 starting boss in the boss card flip screen instead of the actual boss they are facing.
  • Chapter 2 – 5 will show the crowns for heroes that have beaten chapter 1 instead of the actual progress for chapters 2-5.
** This is a visual only issue, progress is still being tracked appropriately.
  • The Hero Power and Deck selection checkmarks will show the chapter 1 versions instead of the correct chapter 2 – 5 versions.
** Like the crowns, this is a visual issue only.

Thank you for your patience.

Boom's Scheme is from RoS

These buffs specifically target Boomsday Cards

I've never seen that card played honestly and I even use Elemental Shaman but that card had no place even there even if wasn't a bad card to have any effect had to be played after the 4th turn otherwise is just a 3/5 no ability... now is a 3/6 so there is a reason to play it since it doesn't die directly to Dyn-o-matic that was the most played card in the meta pratically

The recent 15.6 update came with some bugs and the Hearthstone team aims to ship a 15.6.2 patch with fixes next week.
      Blizzard (Source)
      Hey Folks,
In the latest 15.6 patch, Battlegrounds was launched into Early Access. Unfortunately, some bugs also made it into the live game, and the team has been hard at work making sure these get fixed as quickly as possible. Here’s a status update on things:
On Monday (or potentially Tuesday), we’re aiming to ship a 15.6.2 patch that will include the following:
Squelch working as intended + no longer causing crashes under certain circumstances Daily Quests can now be rerolled Hallow’s End Arena Daily Quest can now be completed A variety of Android crashes have been fixed Memory optimization for Battlegrounds for devices with less than 2GB of RAM Here are some things that have been resolved with a server patch (meaning you don’t have to download it) that’s already live:
Spells now trigger Overkill effects Sathrovarr can now no longer target enemy minions with its Battlecry New Daily Quests can be obtained Big Boss Battle Quest can now be completed by just playing two matches and should only be accessible by players with Battlegrounds access The team is continuing to investigate the following issues:
Login issues Friends List appearing empty Decks missing cards / appearing incomplete Samsung Galaxy Note devices not being able to use the phone’s S-Pen stylus Unable to re-add a card back into a deck (workaround: remove the ghosted card and then attempt it) If you encounter other problems, please let us know in the comments below. We appreciate you bearing with us and we’re sorry for the rockiness. Once we have info on the remaining issues, we’ll be sure to update this thread.
      Cheers,

      Blizzard (Source)
Hearthstone’s newest expansion, Descent of Dragons, launches on December 10! Read on to find out what changes were just added to the game.

Descent of Dragons Mega Bundle - Get 100 Descent of Dragons card packs, the Deathwing Warrior Hero, The Shattering card back, a golden Legendary card from Descent of Dragons, and early access to Hearthstone: Battlegrounds.
Descent of Dragons Bundle - Get 60 Descent of Dragons card packs, The Shattering card back, a golden Legendary card from Descent of Dragons, and early access to Hearthstone Battlegrounds.
      Pre-purchase Now!
      New Game Mode: Battlegrounds
Hearthstone: Battlegrounds is a brand-new auto-battling game mode that introduces a fresh, strategic, 8-player experience to Hearthstone. In Battlegrounds, you’ll take on the role of a familiar Hero straight out of Hearthstone history, craft a powerful board of recruited Minions, and face-off in an action-packed series of duels until a single winner is crowned!

Battlegrounds is now live with today’s update for a week of Early Access for players who have acquired the Descent of Dragons pre-purchase bundle, the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, or BlizzCon Attendees. After this early access phase ends at 10 a.m. on November 12, we’ll enter Open Beta where everyone will be able to hop into Bob’s Tavern to try their hand at being the best of the Battleground Heroes!
Battlegrounds System Requirements: Due to the nature of an 8-player match with tons of attacks, effects, and animations triggering at the same time, Hearthstone: Battlegrounds is currently only supported on mobile devices with more than 2 GB of RAM. This means that some older devices may not be able to run Battlegrounds. As we progress out of Beta, we will be optimizing the experience so that players with older devices can participate in this new game mode. For more details on Hearthstone: Battlegrounds, including the basics on how to play, check out our Battlegrounds Introduction blog here.
      Legendary Battlegrounds Launch Quests
To celebrate the launch of the new Hearthstone: Battlegrounds game mode, we’re introducing a new set of Legendary* quests with some awesome rewards! The quests will be initially available on the following dates, but anyone who logs in between now and the launch of Descent of Dragons will have access to these quests.
November 12, 10:00 AM PT: Battlemaster – Play two games of Battlegrounds to earn a Descent of Dragons, Saviors of Uldum, and Rise of Shadows card pack November 13, 10:00 AM PT:: Into the Fray – Play three games in any mode (including Battlegrounds) to earn a Descent of Dragons, Saviors of Uldum, and Rise of Shadows card pack November 14, 10:00 AM PT: A Worthy Opponent – Play two games in Play mode (Standard, Wild, or Casual) to earn a Descent of Dragons, Saviors of Uldum, and Rise of Shadows card pack *Important Note: Legendary Quests will automatically replace an existing quest if your quest log is full, so be sure to have an empty spot on these days!
      BlizzCon Rewards
BlizzCon attendees and Virtual Ticket holders will be granted a Golden version of the Neutral Legendary Descent of Dragons card Sathrovarr and the Blizzard Events 2019 card back.
A normal non-disenchantable version of Sathrovarr will also be granted to players who log into Hearthstone after this update goes live and through the Descent of Dragons expansion.
      Daily Quest Changes
We’ve cut some of the less popular daily quests (such as quest requiring you to play Divine Shield Minions, Overload Cards, Secrets, 50 Murlocs, etc) and tuned down some quest requirements to make quests generally easier to complete.
Daily quests have also been split into two buckets: Easy (50g) and Slightly More Difficult (60g). Rerolling a Slightly More Difficult (60g) quest (like Play 10 Beasts) will always give you an Easy (50g) quest, so you can get Easy quest every day if you’d like.
We’ve also added some new daily quests that we’re excited for you to discover!
      Upcoming Events
      Warcraft Anniversary Event
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise, players who log into Hearthstone any time between November 13 10:00 AM PT and November 27 10:00 AM PT will receive awesome Warcraft themed rewards. Stay tuned for more details soon!
      New Card Backs!
The following Card Backs have been added to the game:
Cake of the Dead: Acquired by winning 5 games in ranked mode, November 2019. Blizzard Events 2019: Acquired by participating in Blizzard events during 2019. The Shattering: Acquired by pre-purchasing Descent of Dragons. Hellfire Peninsula: Acquired by winning 5 games in ranked mode, December 2019.
      Cake of the Dead

      Blizzard Events: 2019

      The Shattering

      Hellfire Peninsula
      Game Improvements and Bug Fixes
Smart Deck Builder The smart deck builder now considers historical data rather than the just the current meta, though the current meta has a higher priority. For example, putting Lakkari Sacrifice into an unfinished deck will most likely lead the autocompleter to create to a quest discard warlock instead of an existing meta Warlock deck, such as zoo Warlock. Streamer Mode We’ve added the ability to censor your Battletag (and your opponent's Battletag) both in matches and at the top of your friends list. This new feature can be enabled by holding Ctrl + Shift + S (or Command + Shift + S on MACs). As mentioned in our “Behind the Tavern Doors” blog, we’ve added alternate search terms for some hard-to-type cards such as E.M.P. Operative, Dyn-o-matic, Zephrys the Great, and SN1P-SN4P. We’ve also added a few common misspellings and simplified versions of leetspeak card names (found on some Mech minions). For example, searching “snip” or “snap” will now show you SN1P-SN4P. We will continue to add terms as needed for future cards with difficult names. The quest lines for new Hearthstone players has been updated to create a better experience with significantly more rewards. Quest cards will now display the Quest Reward when selected in the Collection Manager. New card icons will now be cleared after viewing the page with the new card shown. You will no longer need to click or hover over the card.

Hearthstone's latest expansion comes with a new Invoke keyword, new 7-cost Hero cards, 10 new Legendary Dragon cards, Sidequests, and Battlegrounds!
Check out our BlizzCon 2019 Content Hub for all the latest details!
      Descent of Dragons Expansion Information
      Blizzard
The League of Explorers and the League of E.V.I.L. face off in the ultimate aerial showdown!
Descent of Dragons™, Hearthstone’s next expansion, is an awe-inspiring aerial face-off where the League of Explorers and the League of E.V.I.L. pull their feet out of the sand and take to the skies! An epic conclusion to Hearthstone’s first-ever year-long storyline, this expansion is packed with more draconic firepower than you can shake a Gatling Wand at, including Rafaam’s ultimate weapon: the daddy of all dragons himself—Galakrond! It’s time to choose whom you’ll fight for when the sky fills with zeppelins, rocket-powered mechs when Descent of Dragons launches December 10.
      INVOKE THE MIGHTY GALAKROND
Arch-Villain Rafaam has unleashed Galakrond on Azeroth! Galakrond rises as five powerful new 7-cost Hero cards available to the five League of E.V.I.L. classes–Shaman, Rogue, Priest, Warrior, and Warlock. Play a dragon cultist minion or a spell with the Invoke keyword at any time to trigger the effect of Galakrond’s Hero Power. Invoke multiple times and you can upgrade your Galakrond Hero card into his two stronger forms. As a log in reward, players will receive all five Galakrond Hero cards for free.
A YEAR’S WORTH OF DRAGONS IN ONE EXPANSION
Descent of Dragons includes 10 new Legendary Dragon cards, including one for each Hearthstone class. Further supporting the draconic theme are new Dragon Breath cards available to each class that provide an added bonus if you’re holding a Dragon.
      GIVE ME A SIDEQUEST
Heroic Druids, Hunters, Mages, and Paladins can earn valuable rewards by completing new Sidequests. While they don’t start in your hand, you can have two of each in a deck and they can even be played alongside other Quests and Sidequests!
      BIGGER BUNDLES. BETTER VALUE.
Until launch, players can pre-purchase two different Descent of Dragons card pack bundles: a 60-pack bundle, which includes a Descent of Dragons-specific golden Legendary card and The Shattering card back; and the massive 100-pack Mega Bundle, which includes those bonuses and the new Deathwing Hero. These bundles are available for $49.99 and $79.99, respectively; one of each can be purchased per account. Both bundles include early access to Hearthstone: Battlegrounds (see other fact sheet).
Further details regarding Descent of Dragons’s corresponding Solo Adventure, available in January 2020, will be announced early next year. Keep your eyes on the skies and check out all of the cards revealed at BlizzCon and more information about Descent of Dragons at www.descentofdragons.com.
      Battlegrounds
Battlegrounds is a free game mode available to all players that enters Open Beta on November 12. Each round will begin with a Recruit phase, where you'll hire minions and position them strategically before the Combat phase. If  any of your minion survives the wave of attacks, you'll win the round and your minions will buff your Attack value before you attack the opponent and deal damage.
You will be able to climb your way up by hiring minions froM Bartender Bob at the Tavern.
      Blizzard
Pull up a chair, because there’s always room for one more in Hearthstone: Battlegrounds!
      WHAT IS HEARTHSTONE: BATTLEGROUNDS?
Hearthstone: Battlegrounds is a new way to play Hearthstone—a fast-paced, easy-to-learn eight-player auto-battler. As a Hero, you’ll recruit minions from various tribes, strategize and set your battle formations, and watch as fights unfold until the last Boss standing wins!
      BATTLE AS 24 UNIQUE HEROES
At the heart of the Hearthstone: Battlegrounds are the unique Heroes—24 characters drawn from across Hearthstone history, including Ragnaros the Firelord, Millificent Manastorm, and The Lich King. You’ll choose one of two Heroes to play as at the start of each game, but choose wisely! Each one has a different power to use to your advantage.
      HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each round starts with a Recruit phase, where you’ll hire minions and then position them strategically before the ensuing Combat phase. If any of your minions survive the conflict, you’ve won the round and your minions will buff your attack value before you attack the opponent and deal damage.
Your climb to the top begins by spending gold to hire minions from Bartender Bob at the Tavern. You start with three gold coins to spend on a Tier 1 minion drafted from a pool shared by all eight players. You’ll receive an additional coin each round until your purse overflows at 10 gold coins per round.
There’s a lot of strategy at play in the Recruit phase, as you’ll have to manage your gold economy and decide when to hire minions, when to sell them off to recoup a coin, and when to pay a coin to refresh the lineup. You can freeze the board for free and lock it in for the next round, and you can also upgrade the Tavern to gain access to stronger minions.
Your Tavern Tier has a big impact on the game—it increases the amount of damage you deal when you win a round, raises the number of minions you choose from in the Recruit phase, and gives you access to more powerful minions. Tier 6 minions include some of the most powerful cards in the game. The cost of upgrading the Tavern is reduced by one each round, but don’t wait too long, or your opponents may pull too far ahead when they start recruiting more powerful minions.
Mastering the Recruit phase is key to victory in Battlegrounds. Forming a Triple—by recruiting three of the same minions—combines them into a more powerful Golden upgraded minion as well as the opportunity to Discover a free minion. Minions with Battlecry effects apply their effect during the Recruit phase, so you’ll need to decide whether to sell them off immediately to make room for stronger units—or keep them around to make a Triple.
The Auto Combat phase can be unpredictable, but skilled players will find ways to take advantage of tribal synergies, well-positioned Deathrattles, and their unique Boss power to claim victory.
      HOW DO I GET IN?
A demo version of Hearthstone: Battlegrounds is playable on the BlizzCon show floor and will be a free game mode available to all Hearthstone players when it enters Open Beta on Tuesday, November 12. Players who acquire Descent of Dragons card packs, including free packs and those purchased using in-game gold or real money, will receive cool Battlegrounds bonuses. At 10 packs, players unlock comprehensive stat-tracking in Hearthstone: Battlegrounds (slated for release following beta testing); at 20 they can choose from three different Bosses instead of two at the start of each match; and at 30, players unlock the ability to taunt or playfully communicate with their opponents using a visual emote system.
There is no Collection required to play!
An Early Access period will be available from November 5–11 for everyone who attended BlizzCon, purchased the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, or pre-purchased either of the Descent of Dragons bundles

The third and final installment in the current series where the League of E.V.I.L. and the League of Explorers face off is set in Dragonblight and here's the trailer, in Hearthstones typical musical glory! The expansion's page has also gone live so check it out for all the details.

We also get a new game mode, Hearthstone Battlegrounds, an 8 player mode inspired by the auto-battler genre, with the beta for it starting on November 12th, or this Tuesday if you won the Virtual Ticket or pre-order the expansion.
Galakrond, the father of all dragonkind, has awoken… and he HUNGERS! As the brave heroes of the League of Explorers clash with the villainous League of E.V.I.L. in the skies above, which side will you choose in this epic conclusion to the year-long story?
      New Hero card(s): Galakrond
All five members of the League of E.V.I.L. can summon a unique version of Galakrond, the mightiest dragon in Azeroth’s history. Utter the precursor dragon’s name with the new Invoke keyword to upgrade his Hero card and amplify his strength.
      New keyword: Invoke
Minions and spells with the Invoke keyword will trigger Galakrond’s hero power and empower Galakrond himself.
      Legendary Dragons
By Muradin’s Beard, that’s a lot of dragons!

Blizzard yesterday released a trailer for Hearthstone's upcoming expansion that will be revealed at BlizzCon this week. It shows Dragonblight and Madam Lazul laying out cards foreshadowing a conflict, and ultimately, telling us that we will be able to choose the victor in the end.
The expansion reminds me of Cataclysm and Deathwing, so we may see the Dragon Aspects being involved somehow. What do you think? Let us know your comments below!
