wow Upgrading Shroud of Resolve in Visions of N'Zoth

Blizzard today outlined how upgrading Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve will work in the weeks following Patch 8.3 release and how to catch up on cloak levels if you fall behind. Wrathion's legendary cloak comes with Corruption Resistance, a valuable aspect that allows you to progressively wear more Corrupted Items, delve deeper into Horrific Visions and defy N'Zoth's Sanity-draining effects.

Upgrading Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve from level 6 to 15 will be time-gated at the beginning, with a new quest available each week.

If you currently do not own the maximum available level of the cloak, you will be able to complete all of the prior weeks' quests in a sequence until you hit the current maximum cap.

In Visions of N’Zoth, the Legendary cloak Ashjra’kamas awaits you, and it brings with it a very valuable aspect: Corruption Resistance. Increasing the cloak’s level allows you to endure a greater amount of Corruption from your other gear, in addition to providing significant statistical increases and other benefits. Those upgrades to the cloak will come with time and effort in Horrific Visions, and upgrading the cloak beyond level 5 will require retrieving powerful items from the deeper (and more challenging) portions of Horrific Visions.

After your cloak has reached level 5, you can upgrade it to level 6 and beyond (all the way to level 15) as quests unlock to provide this, with a new step becoming available each week after the first. The quests to further upgrade the cloak will be sequentially available to you once they’re unlocked. If you’re still working on the quest from two weeks ago, as soon as you complete it, you’ll be able to immediately start on the quest from last week, and then the current week.

If you’re not caught up with the maximum available level of the cloak, whether that’s due to missing a few Horrific Visions at some point, or switching characters, or joining Visions of N’Zoth much later than most players, you’ll be able to complete all of the prior weeks’ quests in sequence, until you’re fully caught up.

It has it's ups and downs. It's to try and stop people no lifing it and hitting 15 week one and being OP compared to those who didn't. At least now there's a sort of catchup... 

It is a bit horrible to think we'll be doing this until September at the earliest though...

At the same time it screws up those with less time, now someone who skips some days stays behind even more, instead of having an option to catch up on the weekend by putting more hours into a game.

They need to move the guy with the DQ for the Lesser Vision out from the portal slightly, and make it show up on the zone map like the ally dailies in Nazjatar do. From my understanding, there were a lot of people who missed out on 2k CV yesterday from not noticing the NPC until AFTER they had already left the Lesser Vision for the day.

Also, any M+10 or higher should have progressive chance to drop a Vessel, since you're entering Nyalotha to defeat NPCs under the Awakening affix.

I like this idea of the M+ 10 or higher weekly chest reward giving a vessel.

Honestly with the gating of the quest progression and the Unique (5) of the vessels, its pointless until later on. Aside from getting my cloak upgraded each week, I've been doing extra visions each week because of capping out (5 + 25k CV). Which would be fine if the DPS or tanking essence from the Visions was worth it for me.
