Introductions
Welcome to our team composition guide for Ashveil in Honkai: Star Rail. In this guide, we'll explore the best teams to build for Ashveil, including recommended team compositions, character synergies and everything you need to know to let your Ashveil teams shine.
Best Synergies for Ashveil
Ashveil provides Feixiao with strong Follow-up ATK and CRIT Damage buffs as well as defense shred on enemy targets. While Ashveil may not be the best at generating ultimate stacks for Feixiao due to his mediocre Follow-up ATK frequency, he is still a best-in-slot teammate for her.
Tribbie provides Ashveil with some of the most powerful and unique buffs via RES PEN and DMG Taken Auras which are difficult to find on other units. Tribbie also does a significant amount of damage with her consistent AoE Follow-up ATKs, which are buffed by Ashveil's Follow-up ATK buffs. Tribbie is also SP positive, which can help Ashveil and his team use more skills to generate Follow-up ATKs.
Robin is a unit that was designed for Follow-up ATK teams and is a premier support for Ashveil's team compositions. Robin provides a large DMG % buff alongside both a huge amount of flat ATK and some CRIT DMG for Follow-up ATKs. Robin's ultimate energy is reliant on teammates attacking which synergizes with Follow-up ATK teams who hits multiple times per turn.
Cipher provides a 40% increased DMG taken to all enemies aura while she is one the field, as well some vulnerabilities on her follow up attacks. Ashveil appreciates these effects, and in turn can provide Cipher with some additional damage on her Follow-Up ATKs. Being fully SP positive, Cipher can allow Ashveil or his teammates to spam their powerful skills. Additionally, her ultimate is a strong tool that can be used to cover up some of Ashveil's weaknesses or saved for a crucial moment to down bosses or skip mechanics.
After her Novaflare, Sparkle has become a premier Action Advance support that can give RES PEN, CRIT Damage, Vulnerability and a lot of SP. While Ashveil doesn't need all of the SP that Sparkle can provide to his teams, the extra SP can be comfortable to have. Her Action Advance for more turns on Ashveil in combination with her strong damage buffs and flexible Lightcone options make her easy to slot into many of Ashveils compositions.
Sunday is a support that provides Ashveil or his teammates Action Advance, CRIT Rate and CRIT Damage and some energy. Being a Hunt Unit with a high energy cost for his ultimate, Sunday is a great support for Ashveil as he can utilize all of Sunday's kit to its maximum potential. In particular, the extra ultimate energy Sunday can provide can help Ashveil utilize his enhanced Follow-up ATK more, which is a large source of his damage contribution. This makes Sunday a strong option if you are considering running Ashveil as a Main DPS. Sunday can be run at a -1 speed setup, or by having both Ashveil and Sunday at high (150+) speeds.
Permansor Terrae provides his Bondmates with an ATK buff that Ashveil appreciates, while also being a free and comfortable sustain that can generate a decent amount of Skill Points for the team. The Souldragon also receives some buffs from Ashveil, which is much more noticeable at higher investment levels.
Aventurine is a comfortable Skill Point positive sustain that gets more Follow-up ATKs in teams where he is played with other Follow-up ATK characters. These Follow-up ATKs can also be buffed by Ashveil, allowing him to contribute a little more damage.
Dr. Ratio is a follow-up ATK based DPS that strongly benefits from Ashveil's Follow-up ATK buffs and DEF shred. Ashveil will play well with Dr. Ratio, though due to Ashveil having pretty strong offensive modifiers on his attacks, he will likely outpace Dr. Ratio even when buffed. The main benefit to running these characters together is having Ashveil bring Dr. Ratio's damage up significantly if you already have already made investments into him in the past.
Ashveil's Best Teams
Here are some examples of teams you can build with Ashveil using the notes from above. Please note, this is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level. We have included several example F2P teams using 4★ characters that are lower power than the 5★ teams as examples. The sustain unit in each team can be swapped out.
