Character Explanation

Elation Trailblazer acts very similarly to Harmony Trailblazer, being a support unit for an archetype introduced in Planarcadia. Elation Trailblazer acts as a battery for Elation compositions. Elation Trailblazer generates energy and Punchline whenever they attack, and their skill additionally generates Certified Banger upon attacking. Upon Ulting, Elation Trailblazer provides buffs (Crit Damage, Celanse, additional Certified Banger, SP and some Elation) to one member of the team and forces the target to use their Elation skill if they have one.

Just like with the other supportive Trailblazer forms, prioritize grabbing all their eidolons via Planarcadia exploration. Playing Elation Trailblazer largely involves using basic attack for SP or skill for some extra Certified Banger, then using Ultimate on your main Elation DPS to give them buffs and deal extra damage via the copied Elation skill. Typically, you will always select the main DPS of your composition, but there are cases where you would want to select a Sub-DPS or a support who has a stronger elation skill - but you will need to consider the other benefits of Elation Trailblazer's Ultimate. Unfortunately, even at higher stack counts of Certified Banger, Elation Trailblazer's damage leaves a lot to be desired, so choose to skill or basic attack based on what resources are more valuable to you at the moment.

Build Advice

Firstly, if you plan on using Elation teams with Elation Trailblazer, try to get all of their eidolons from progresing through Planarcadia. Just like with the other supportive Trailblazer paths, SPD and action value are some of the most important stats that you can build on Elation Trailblazer. Additionally, with their ultimate being a bulk of the value in their kit, providing 1 SP, a cleanse, offensive stats and an extra elation skill, energy regeneration rate is a key part of their build as well. By hitting high SPD breakpoints, alongside with enough ATK from relics and lightcones, Elation trailblazer will perform well in most Elation team compositions. Extra stats can be allocated to defensive stats to help them survive if running sustainable, or you can pump extra stats into Crit Rate or Crit Damage if you want to optimize their damage per turn, but I would always try to prioritize hitting SPD breakpoints before considering these.

We highly recommend a typical Eagle 4p and Vonwacq setup. With 167 SPD and the action advance from Vonwacq, this build allows Elation Trailblazer to act ahead of their party, skill to generate energy and get Certified Banger, and start the fight with an Ultimate to immediately get buffs up and start helping the Elation DPS start building resources and activating effects from their elation skills.

There are other alternative setups you can consider for Elation Trailblazer - without Yao Guang or another supportive Elation character in the team, you can use 4p Diviner set, which will provide a sizeable Elation damage increase to themselves and other elation allies. Make sure to try and achieve 160 SPD on this set to hit AV breakpoints, as well as boost the speed of Aha in combat. Lushaka can also be used over Vonwacq for ATK scaling Elation DPS like Sparxie or Evanescia, but you still may end up finding Vonwacq more comfortable for certain rotations. 2p speed sets, such as using Messenger and Warrior, can also help reach the 160 SPD breakpoint if you are struggling with relics.

Other more niche sets can be assembled to focus on Elation Trailblazer’s personal damage, such as the Punkelorde Planar set or the Magical Girl 4p set. We generally do not recommend this due to Elation Trailblazer’s main contributions coming from their ultimate and their personal damage being quite low.
