Introductions

Topaz is a 5-Star character with the Fire element who follows the Path of The Hunt. Topaz primarily serves as a Sub-DPS increasing the Follow-Up attack damage enemies receive through her Proof of Debt debuff, while her summon, Numby, deals frequent and powerful follow-up attacks of its own.

Worrisome, Blissful

Increase the wearer's CRIT Rate by 18.0 / 21.0 / 24.0 / 27.0 / 30.0% and increases DMG dealt by Follow-Up ATK by 30.0 / 35.0 / 40.0 / 45.0 / 50.0%. After the wearer uses a Follow-Up ATK, inflicts the target with the "Tame" state, stacking up to 2 time(s). When allies hit enemy targets under the "Tame" state, each "Tame" stack increases the CRIT DMG dealt by 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0 / 18.0 / 20.0%.

Worrisome Blissful is Topaz's signature Light Cone and her best option increasing her follow-up attack damage and CRIT Rate as well as her allies CRIT Damage to enemies inflicted with "Tame".

The Finale of a Lie
S1

Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 18.0 / 21.0 / 24.0 / 27.0 / 30.0%. At the start of battle or for every 4.0 instance(s) of Follow-Up ATK the wearer uses, the wearer gains "Umbra Devourer," lasting for 3.0 turn(s). While the wearer holds "Umbra Devourer," increases ATK by 40.0 / 50.0 / 60.0 / 70.0 / 80.0% and increases the DMG taken by all enemies by 20.0 / 22.5 / 25.0 / 27.5 / 30.0%. Effects of the same type cannot stack.

Another strong option for Topaz is Asheveil's Signature Light Cone. However, this cannot stack meaning you should not use this in any teams where Asheveil/another Follow-Up DPS is also using this weapon.

Cruising in the Stellar Sea
S5

Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8.0 / 10.0 / 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0%, and increases their CRIT Rate against enemies with HP percentage 50.0% or less by an extra 8.0 / 10.0 / 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, their ATK is increased by 20.0 / 25.0 / 30.0 / 35.0 / 40.0% for 2 turn(s).

Provides 16% CRIT Rate base and then also another 16% CRIT Rate when enemies have less than 50% HP. Because the second 16% is only present in-battle, make sure to factor it in when building Topaz so you do not overcap on CRIT Rate in-battle.

Swordplay is great for increasing Topaz's damage dealt when achieving the full 5 stacks but can be limited especially when swapping to different targets as this will cause the stacks to reset.

Increases the wearer's ATK by 16.0 / 20.0 / 24.0 / 28.0 / 32.0%. If there are 2 or fewer enemies on the field, increases wearer's CRIT Rate by 12.0 / 15.0 / 18.0 / 21.0 / 24.0%.

The Ashblazing Grand Duke

2-Piece Set: Increases the DMG dealt by Follow-Up ATK by 20.0%.

4-Piece Set: When the wearer uses a Follow-Up ATK, increases the wearer's ATK by 6.0% for every time the Follow-Up ATK deals DMG. This effect can stack up to 8 time(s) and lasts for 3 turn(s). This effect is removed the next time the wearer uses a Follow-Up ATK.

The best relic set for Topaz, increasing her Follow-Up ATK DMG as well as providing an ATK buff of up to 48%.

Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters

2-Piece Set: Increases DMG dealt to enemies with debuffs by 12.0%.

4-Piece Set: Increases CRIT Rate by 4.0%. The wearer deals 8.0%/12.0% increased CRIT DMG to enemies with at least 2/3 debuffs. After the wearer inflicts a debuff on enemy targets, the aforementioned effects increase by 100%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

Considered Topaz's next best set but requires enemies to have 2/3 debuffs in order for the sets full effects.

Outside of her best 4-piece options you can also pair a 2-piece ATK % with a 2-piece CRIT Rate or you can use CRIT DMG to be sure not to over cap on CRIT Rate if you don't need it.

2-Piece Set: When an ally character uses a Follow-Up ATK, the wearer gains 1 stack of "Merit," stacking up to 5 time(s). Each stack of "Merit" increases the DMG dealt by the wearer's Follow-Up ATKs by 5.0%. When there are 5 stacks, additionally increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 25.0%.

The best Planar set for Topaz, increasing her damage significantly and as Topaz is played primarily in FuA teams you will achieve the bonus effect stacks without any issues.

The Wondrous BananAmusement Park

2-Piece Set: Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 16.0%. When a target summoned by the wearer is on the field, CRIT DMG additionally increases by 32.0%.

Another decent option for Topaz providing CRIT DMG. Although Topaz generally lacks CRIT Rate and should be more of a build priority.

City of Converging Stars

2-Piece Set: When the wearer uses Follow-Up ATK, increases ATK by 24.0% for 2 turn(s). When an enemy target gets defeated, increases CRIT DMG for all allies by 12.0% in the current battle. This effect cannot stack.

Topaz & Numby Build Comments

Topaz is a Sub-DPS contributing in Follow-Up Attack teams. Her main strength comes from applying Proof of Debt, a debuff that significantly increases the follow-up damage an enemy receives, making her one of the best supports for FUA focused characters such as and Feixiao or Dr. Ratio.

A key part of her kit is Numby, her summon. Numby attacks enemies inflicted with Proof of Debt and gains action advance whenever allies perform Follow-Up attacks. This works well for teams that frequent FuA triggers, allowing Topaz to increase both her own damage and her team's overall output.

Topaz's Ultimate temporarily strengthens Numby, increasing its damage and making it easier to accelerate its turns through allies' attacks. Topaz can also manage Skill Points flexibly, alternating between Skills and Basic Attacks while still supporting Numby's actions and maintaining good Toughness damage against single targets.

Despite her strengths, Topaz is heavily focused on single-target combat and performs best in dedicated FUA teams. Outside of those teams, her value drops considerably compared to more flexible damage dealers. Overall, Topaz excels as a specialised Sub-DPS enhancing follow-up attack teams. She becomes powerful when paired with other FUA characters, helping the entire team deal significantly more damage.

Topaz & Numby's Best Eidolons

E1 – When enemies affected by Proof of Debt take damage from Follow-Up Attacks, the CRIT DMG of those Follow-Up Attacks is increased. This is an excellent for maximising Topaz's performance and overall value.
E6 – Extending Windfall Bonanza increases uptime on its effects, while Fire RES PEN allows Follow-Up Attacks to deal more damage regardless of enemy Resistance.
E4 – Advancing Topaz's action whenever Numby takes a turn lets her act more frequently, improving her damage output and making it easier to maintain buffs and debuffs.
E2 – The extra Energy generation helps Topaz charge her Ultimate faster for better ultimate uptime.
