Dan Heng's Best Light Cone

Listed below are the Light Cones we recommend for Dan Heng.

In the Night
S1
Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 18.0 / 21.0 / 24.0 / 27.0 / 30.0%. While the wearer is in battle, for every 10 SPD that exceeds 100, increases DMG dealt by Basic ATK and Skill by 6.0 / 7.0 / 8.0 / 9.0 / 10.0%. At the same time, increases the CRIT DMG of Ultimate by 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0 / 18.0 / 20.0%. This effect can stack up to 6 time(s).

Sources: Event Warp (limited)
In the Night is a 5-star Light Cone that increases Dan Heng's Crit Rate by 18%. For every 10 SPD exceeding 100, it increases the DMG dealt by his Basic ATK and Skill by 6%. In addition to this, the Crit DMG of his Ultimate is also increased by 12%. This Light Cone works well on Dan Heng because he scales with Crit and SPD, allowing him to deal more consistent and higher single-target burst damage.
Cruising in the Stellar Sea
S1
Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8.0 / 10.0 / 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0%, and increases their CRIT Rate against enemies with HP percentage 50.0% or less by an extra 8.0 / 10.0 / 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, their ATK is increased by 20.0 / 25.0 / 30.0 / 35.0 / 40.0% for 2 turn(s).

Sources: Herta's Store
Cruising in the Stellar Sea is another Light Cone option for Dan Heng. This Light Cone increases his Crit Rate by 8%, and when an enemy's HP is 50% or less, his Crit Rate is increased by an additional 8%. When Dan Heng defeats an enemy, his ATK is increased by 20% for 2 turns. This works well for Dan Heng because it improves his Crit consistency, helping him reliably land hits that trigger his Skill's SPD reduction on enemies, which in turn helps improve his Ultimate damage.
The Hell Where Ideals Burn
S1
Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 16.0 / 20.0 / 24.0 / 28.0 / 32.0%. When entering combat, if the allies' Skill Points limit is 6 or higher, increases the wearer's ATK by 40.0 / 50.0 / 60.0 / 70.0 / 80.0%. After each use of the wearer's Skill, increases the wearer's ATK by 10.0 / 12.5 / 15.0 / 17.5 / 20.0%, stacking up to 4 time(s).

Sources: Event Warp (limited)
The Hell Where Ideals Burn is a 5-star Light Cone that increases his Crit Rate by 16%. At the start of battle, if the team's maximum Skill Points are 6 or higher, his ATK is increased by 40%. Additionally, each time he uses his Skill, his ATK increases by 10%, stacking up to 4 times for a 40% additional ATK increase. This is a strong Light Cone for him because it boosts both his Crit Rate and ATK, two stats that directly increase his damage. The only thing to note with this Light Cone is that, to get the full effect, you will need an ally who can increase the maximum SP limit, such as Sparkle.
Sleep Like the Dead
S1
Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 30.0 / 35.0 / 40.0 / 45.0 / 50.0%. When the wearer's Basic ATK or Skill DMG does not result in a CRIT Hit, increases their CRIT Rate by 36.0 / 42.0 / 48.0 / 54.0 / 60.0%, lasting for 1 turn(s). This effect can only trigger once every 3 turn(s).

Sources: Stellar Warp
Sleep Like the Dead is a 5-star Light Cone that increases Dan Heng's Crit DMG by 30%. If his Basic ATK or Skill doesn't result in a Crit hit, his Crit Rate increases by 36%. This is a strong Light Cone for him because it significantly improves his overall damage consistency. The large Crit DMG boost increases his burst potential, while the Crit Rate effect helps him land more reliable critical hits over time, making his damage output much more stable in longer fights.
Swordplay
S5
For each time the wearer hits the same target, DMG dealt increases by 8.0 / 10.0 / 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0%, stacking up to 5 time(s). This effect will be dispelled when the wearer changes targets.

Sources: Stellar Warp
Swordplay is a 4-star Light Cone that increases Dan Heng's DMG by 16% each time he hits the same enemy, stacking up to 5 times for a total DMG increase of 80%. It works well on him because he focuses on single-target attacks, allowing him to quickly build and maintain stacks for consistently higher overall damage output.
Only Silence Remains
S5
Increases the wearer's ATK by 16.0 / 20.0 / 24.0 / 28.0 / 32.0%. If there are 2 or fewer enemies on the field, increases wearer's CRIT Rate by 12.0 / 15.0 / 18.0 / 21.0 / 24.0%.

Sources: Stellar Warp
Only Silence Remains is a 4-star Light Cone increasing Dan Heng's ATK up to 32%. If 2 or fewer enemies are on the field, his Crit Rate increases by 24%. This is a good Light Cone for him because Dan Heng excels at focusing on single targets. The Crit Rate boost helps him deal more consistent damage in those scenarios, while the ATK increase strengthens all of his attacks, making it a reliable option for both boss fights and smaller enemy waves.

After applying a debuff, this effect is further enhanced by 100%. This is a strong set for him because Dan Heng performs best when focusing down single targets, and the set rewards consistent debuff uptime by significantly increasing his Crit-based damage against those enemies.

After he uses his Ultimate, the DMG from his next Skill is increased by 25%. This set works well for Dan Heng because a large part of his damage comes from alternating between his Skill and Ultimate. The set boosts both of these sources of damage, making his burst turns hit much harder.
Eagle of Twilight Line Wavestrider Captain
2-Piece Set: Increases Wind DMG by 10.0%.
4-Piece Set: After the wearer uses their Ultimate, their action is Advanced Forward by 25.0%.

If you do not have a good 4-piece set, it is recommended to combine a 2-piece ATK set with a 2-piece Crit Rate set. Below are some other recommended sets that can work well for Dan Heng:

This set provides him with an 8% increase to Crit Rate, and when his Crit Rate is 70% or more, the DMG from his Basic ATK and Skill is increased by 20%. This is a strong set for him because Dan Heng relies heavily on his Skill for most of his damage. The Crit Rate boost helps him reach the required threshold for the set more easily, while the additional damage to his Basic ATK and Skill improves his consistency and single-target damage output.

2-Piece Set: Increases the wearer's ATK by 12.0%. When the wearer's SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12.0%/18.0% more DMG.

Dan Heng Build Comments

Character Overview Kit Overview

Character Overview

Dan Heng is a single-target Wind DPS who excels during the early and mid-game due to his decent Skill and strong Ultimate. His kit revolves around applying Slow to enemies and taking advantage of it to increase his Ultimate's damage, while his Talent grants powerful Wind RES PEN when targeted by an ally's ability. Although he can deal impressive damage when his effects are properly set up, his performance can be inconsistent due to the conditions required to maximise his damage. He remains a capable damage dealer throughout much of the game, but generally requires more investment than newer DPS characters to stay competitive in endgame content.

Kit Overview

Dan Heng's kit focuses on applying Slow and dealing increased damage to affected enemies. His Skill can inflict Slow on critical hits, enabling his Ultimate to hit much harder against those targets. His Talent grants Wind RES PEN after being targeted by an ally's ability, increasing the damage of his next attack.

Most of Dan Heng's damage comes from his Ultimate, which receives a substantial damage increase when used against Slowed enemies. This gives him a straightforward rotation of applying Slow with his Skill before using his Ultimate for maximum damage. While he can deal strong single-target damage, he relies on maintaining Slow uptime and triggering his Talent consistently to perform at his best.
