Affliction Warlock Rotations
This page contains all relevant information needed for Affliction Warlock before the release of Mists of Pandaria Classic. We will be updating this with all the latest information as soon as more is discovered, so make sure to check back.
Affliction Warlocks bring great single-target and AoE damage to the raid, while having the highest
multi-target damage out of any classes in the game thanks to Soul Swap. Affliction comes With
a strong Demon, Observer and a plethora of Damage over Time - DoT - spells to rot all your enemies
away. Affliction is based largely around it's hard hitting DoT's and it's powerful execute damage
with
Drain Soul.

Understanding DoT's and Pandemic
As a Affliction Warlock, Agony,
Unstable Affliction and
Corruption are your
DoTs and they are extremely important. Affliction revolves around applying these Damage over Time spells
and then buffing them up with
Haunt and
Malefic Grasp. MoP Classic changed the way DoT's
work thanks to the Talent
Pandemic. When you refresh your DoT's, the duration remaining on the previous
effect is added to this new one, up to a maximum of 50%. This means that if a DoT duration of 20 seconds and
you refresh it when there are 10 seconds remaining, the new duration will be 30 seconds.
Your DoTs benefit from your stats at the time you casted the DoT. This means that Agony,
Unstable Affliction and
Corruption will take into account your stats at the exact
time you cast
Immolate, and it will keep that Haste, or Spell Power buff even after you
lose the buffs yourself.
Single-Target Rotation
The job of an Affliction Warlock is pretty straight forward. You want to keep Haunt on the target at
all times, keep your DoTs,
Corruption,
Unstable Affliction and
Agony on the target 100%
of the time and fill with
Malefic Grasp while waiting to refresh your DoTs. Once you're in execute
range, you replace that
Malefic Grasp and instead use
Drain Soul to take advantage of the massive
damage increase that
Drain Soul has when the target is at or below 20% Health.

- Keep
Agony,
Corruption and
Unstable Affliction on the target as close to 100% uptime as you can. Use
Soulburn and
