Welcome to our Vivian build guide for Zenless Zone Zero. Vivian is a powerful S-Rank Ether Sub DPS Agent who deals damage based on what Anomaly is available in your party. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Vivian, from building the best Drive Discs and W-Engines to important stat priorities and combos.

Vivian's Best W-Engines

Listed below are Vivian's best W-Engines. While W-Engines are listed in a priority order, what's best to build on your Vivian can vary slightly depending on your team composition.

Flight of Fancy

Silver Spiked Feathers
Increases Anomaly Buildup Rate by 40/46/52/58/64%. When the equipper deals Ether DMG, their Anomaly Proficiency increases by 20/23/26/29/32 for 5s, stacking up to 6 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s, and repeated triggers reset the duration.

Lingering Cries
Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff that increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30/34/38/42/48, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

Best Drive Discs for Vivian

Phaethon's Melody

2-Piece Set: Anomaly Mastery +8%.
4-Piece Set: When any squad member uses an EX Special Attack, the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency increases by 45 for 8s. If the character using the EX Special Attack is not the equipper, the equipper's Ether DMG is increased by 25%.

Vivian's Stat Priority

When building Vivian, Anomaly Proficiency is by far the most important substat to be building around as it provides a lot more damage for your team compared to other options. With regards to Vivian's disc 5, your best option is generally going to be whatever has the most Anomaly substat rolls on it.

Vivian's Skill Priority

Vivian's most important skill to level by far is her Core which is the majority of Vivian's damage. You can also simply not level Vivian's dodge at all as it is rarely used especially with how many i-frames Vivian has.

How to Play Vivian

Vivian is an Ether off-field DPS that focuses on generating Guard Feather stacks to deal damage. Guard Feathers are consumed when an Anomaly-related effect occurs. This triggers Vivian's "Abloom" which deals a high amount of damage based on the element that the enemy is suffering most from and scales based off of the Anomaly Proficiency of both Vivian and your other Anomaly DPS Builds.

Flight Feathers & Guard Feathers

Vivian has 2 main resources called "Flight Feathers" and "Guard Feathers". Flight feathers can be seen by the "inner" triangles of Vivian's stacks while Guard Feathers are the "outer circle" of Vivian's stacks.

Flight feathers are generated in the following ways:

• EX Special Attack: Violet Requiem (EX Special, +3)
• Assist Follow-Up: Featherblade Execution (Assist Follow-Up, +2)
• Chain Attack: Chorus of Celestial Wings (Chain Attack, +2)
• Ultimate: Soaring Bird's Song (Ultimate, +5)
• Basic Attack: Noblewoman - Waltz (Basic Attack, +1/2)

These Flight Feathers are converted into Guard Feathers when using Basic Attack: Fluttering Frock - Suspension, which is a Basic Attack while Vivian is in the air. Up to 5 Flight Feathers and 5 Guard Feathers can be stored at any time.

Guard Feathers are there consumed with Vivian's Core passive to deal massive damage to enemies through Abloom. It is worth noting that Vivian's Abloom will not occur if you use an EX Special while there's no Anomaly Aura on the enemy but it will consume a stack.

Vivian's Best Mindscapes

Vivian has some incredibly powerful early Mindscapes with her M1 giving her a refund on Flight Feathers as well as DMG buffs while Vivian's M2 provides Anomaly Buildup Rate and increased damage from Abloom.

Vivian's M3 and M5 are effectively worthless while the M4 is only a slight damage increase. If you are not aiming for M6 Vivian, then M2 is your best stopping point.
