BiS Gear for Affliction Warlock
Overall BiS for Affliction Warlock
The following list contains Best in Slot Gear for Affliction Warlock from all sources of content with an emphasis on shared items across all 3 warlocks spec, to allow for easier swap if needed.
Note that there is no such thing as a singular, all-encompassing "BiS". The best items vary per character and situation, and many items are essentially equivalent in terms of DPS, namely when we are just shuffling secondary stats around. I will list one "BiS" item per slot, but ultimately, BiS lists are best used as something to refer to but you should be simming your character to find out what gear to equip next. You can use the list below as a guideline for what an endgame set of gear looks like.

FAQWhy Is the Crafted 2-handed Weapon Not BiS?
Crafted items do not reach the same item level as fully upgraded Mythic track, thus crafted items in general are best reserved for lower stat budget slots.
If you do not have access to Mythic track weapons, the staff remains the better option.
Mythic+ Gear BiS List for Affliction Warlock
The following list is comprised of all the best items sourced exclusively from the Season 1 Mythic+ dungeons pool. As usual the gearing is a journey and along its path players will have to adapt with what is available to them at any given point. It is highly suggested to make use of Raidbots in order to find a suitable upgrading path.
TipsWhich Dungeons Should Be Prioritised?
- Windrunner Spire: Two of our best trinket options, and most of the gear.

Raid Gear BiS List for Affliction Warlock
The list below consists of Gear dropping exclusively from Raids and is not to be confused for the overall BiS list.

Eternal Voidsong Chain: Unique Neck Item with a
proc that is easy to trigger and is augmented by
Haunt. Dropped

rarity. This drops from Midnight Falls.

Crafted Gear & Embellishments
Crafting gear main limiting factor remains the weekly rollout of Sparks, necessary for high end items, as such it is important to understand how to approach the topic.
The overall best combination is double
Arcanoweave Lining in the
Wrists and Back slots, but that is in the context of fully geared characters,
and thus should be considered a long term strategy, better suited for players
who do not require the highest power gain immediately, but instead opt for
the least amount of recrafts and resource investment.
If immediate power is instead the focus, then crafting
a
Aln'hara Cane
with
Darkmoon Sigil: Hunt using 4 Sparks and Wrists
with
Arcanoweave Lining at a lower item level provide the highest dps
jump.
The missives used for each craft are the following:
Thalassian Missive of the Fireflash for Weapon
Thalassian Missive of the Peerless for Wrists
Thalassian Missive of the Quickblade for any other slot

Adding Sockets to Gear
In Season 1
Radiant Jewelbinder is available as a
trading option at six tokens from Great Vault, which can be used to add a
sockets to any Head, Waist, or Wrist item.
Using Crests as Affliction Warlock
Dawncrests are a seasonal limited currency with a cap that increases each week and is used to upgrade items to their respective maximum level in each reward track.
Due to how each item slot is designed, there is a difference in power, tied to either specific effects or simply higher stats. As a result the following sequence highlights the most valuable slots where to invest Dawncrests:
Evaluating Upgrades
The easiest and most sensible way to compare multiple items is to use Raidbots' Top Gear. Here, you can input an export from the Simcraft AddOn, select the items to compare, and it will find out which of the items are best. See below for a guide on how to sim yourself.
