Sub/Sin looking for critique

Recommended Posts

Where is my logs from yestarday raid:

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/Q8TLRp6g4vNxchVW#type=damage-done&translate=truehttps://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/Q8TLRp6g4vNxchVW#type=damage-done&translate=true

I wanted to go like sub but after first boss my low dps make me really sad. So i spec back to sin. Both artifacts have 24 lvl and all 3 golden traits.

On spider and ursok i was in EP/AP spec and tried to maintain EP as much as i can, but on dragons it's didn't work much so i switch to MP/EX build and i think it worked much better.

Can someone give me few tips for sub/sin, mb i doing something wrong?

Hey dude,

Looking at Ursoc as it is the fight with least DPS-affecting variables for which to account.  Your EP uptime is actually good; at 72%, it's actually a lot better than I expected to see considering the very, very low crit value you have.  In order to maintain that kind of crit, I am going to guess you either do a lot of very low-CP envenoms and/or settle for less than 6cp Ruptures at times?  Rupture uptime of 87% should be higher, so work on getting that closer to 100%.

Try going MP/AP instead of EP/AP until you get more crit, also.  Sims might say EP is better, but try it yourself and see if it actually plays out that way.  Dragons is a poor fight for AP builds due to all the add switching and interrupting we have to do, so it doesn't surprise me that you had better success with Exsanguinate on that fight.

My biggest worry is this:  What happened at the beginning of the fight that gave you no initial burst during your opener?  Considering you pre-potted, I expected to see a significant spike during that opening segment even though there was no early bloodlust but that did not happen.  Even if you got focused, you should have plenty of time to fully open and get some nice damage in before you have to run away.  If you didn't, then I am just confused.

Assassination relies on cooldown stacking and bursting hard during those windows to keep its overall DPS figure high.  Missing that first big pre-pot window really hurt your parse.

If you talking about ursok fight then, i have to wait ~2 sec for boss to stand still. I open on him with garrote then he halfway to tanks, then do 2 muti - vendette- vanish+Rupture-kingslayer - envenom on 2-4cp to keep EP uptime. Sometimes it just 1-2 cp envenom after garrote/kingslayers. On this raid i had ~152% mastery. For calculating loot value i use stat weights from this website in Pawn addon.

On the note of stat weights, the static stat weights found on icy veins are in general "okay" to use but there is a certain amount of crit needed especially when running EP that you need before you can then dump the rest of your gear towards mastery. Aim for 43% unbuffed crit and then put the rest in mastery, eating crit food puts you at 44% crit which with the artifact traits puts your mut at a 50% crit chance which smooths out the opener and maintaining EP giving you more consistent dps.

So... If i understand this right. Icy-veins stat weights (mastery>crit) is for MP/AP build but if i want go with EP/AP build i need change gear on gear with crit>mastery stat ratio until i have 43% crit. Does this number decrease with artifact relics on +2% to muti crit chance?

Stat weights always depend on your gear. Once you hit a certain level of one, others will be more beneficial.

You should always use a tool like SimC to determine stat weights, upgrades, and more

Some fresh logs from myth raid. After raid and some SC runs i come with this set of gear:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/howling-fjord/Хантимка/simple

But now i have a question. If i have multiple specs and i have one specific ring in each gear set(Sephuz's secret for example) which enchant and gem i must use on it? Versality, for equal impact on each spec, or mastery/crit for Sin|Sub?

Mastery gives you more damage but without the proper amount of crit you will struggle a lot in your opener and in your general EP uptime due to horrible horrible rng, getting to the 50% soft cap for mutilate will make this almost non existent and give you more consistent dps... that being said if you have god like rng you could stack mastery all the way and obviously see better results due to the scaling. I myself prefer consistency. If you have a mut crit chance relic you can theoretically afford to be sitting on 41% crit instead of 43% crit in this scenario, again its largely a player by player thing some people could still be early in their artifact tree, different relics etc etc. Sim for the most up to date info on this. In terms of enchants just enchant for your main spec unless you have unlimited gold in that case just stock all the different enchants in your inventory and swap them out as you swap specs. For me I enchant my rings with CRIT because I want to be at or as close to 43% as possible as a assassination rogue, once I go over that in crit I will begin switching to mastery enchants for more damage.

Edit: Also if I manage to finally get an eye of command from karazhan I will switch my enchants/gems to mastery because the eye of command will get my crit up for me in long ST fights so I have an easier time maintaining EP.

      Hay,

I seem to struggle to get better DPS. I figured out that i used chaos strike and blade dance to less. and i should use less Throw glaive and fellrush.
But i stil seem to have trouble getting my dps on.  Please take a look on the logs at the 14th.
I really dislike using the "eye beam build" (it feel slow to me) so i still use the 2221311 build.

      Hello,
I am concerned that I am severely under performing as a fury warrior. I can manage to parse typically in the 80s for almost every fight in heroic ToS with a few exceptions: Mistress, Host, Avatar. I'm currently 933 equipped and I'm not at all concerned about my stats... I know I should and could be parsing in the 90s. But I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

My opener looks something like this: Charge, Pop Moonglaives trinket, Pop all CDS, Raging Blow, Oden's Fury, Rampage, then start normal priority rotation: Enraged RB>100 rage Rampage>RB>BT>FS.

I have recently discovered that I have been doing my execute phase entirely wrong. I just went and tried first two bosses of heroic ToS again. Parses went up slightly... Goroth: 83->89, Inquis:84->90 but still not where I need to be.
Another think I'd like to mention is that I try to prioritize Enraged RB @100 rage before hitting rampage. According to Kelade (one of top fury warriors in US), this is 100k dps difference. Although at times I find myself in an awkward situation where I'm at 100 rage with RB on CD and I literally have to wait a whole global to hit it... I'd like to know how to make that stop lol.

Last issue I'd like to bring up is this: Most of the time not all my CDs will line up perfectly together... BC, glaives, OF will be up but Avatar will be down. I'm slightly confused about when to use All/some of my cds... especially on fights like heroic KJ. Fights like Harj and Miss I'm confused about if I should hold all my cds for adds or blow them in the beginning along with prepot... I feel like prepot is a total waste without cds...

Below you will find the link to my armory and logs. Please Help me. I need to be parsing much higher than I am. My guild is doing mythic and I don't want to be the one holding us back.

Hi, so I'd like to think that have got the fury rotation down, I've been using the Icy veins guide and some pointers from MMO-Champion. I don't think I have any big issues apart from the BC with CoF trinket, like if it's worth waiting for other cooldowns like OF to be up with BC, that's my main question.
So I have linked my logs for some PuG raiding the other week, so if someone is up for the task of analyzing them for me, that'd be great. Sorry if my sentences are wrong or weird, I'm really hungover...

( In Goroth Normal, you will see some downtime in the middle of the fight. I got disconnected that is the answer:/ )
