Zadina 923 Report post Posted November 23, 2018 Mage gets its own Elemental version of Duskbreaker! The card was revealed by Eurogamer: From a lore perspective, it's quite peculiar that an Arcane Dinosaur is considered an Elemental. Obviously, the card has the Elemental tag to work nicely with Frost Lich Jaina. However, the comparison with Duskbreaker is very unfavourable: is playing an Elemental the previous turn considered to be easier than holding a Dragon on your hand? Because Arcanosaur right now looks like a balanced (read: quite worse), much slower version of the Priest card. Feel free to share your opinion on this card on the comments below. Hanz39 53 Report post Posted November 23, 2018 It's much more powerful than Duskbreaker since after you play Frost Lich Jaina this has the same effect as Reno jackson + Duskbreaker and healing you up to 29 hp for a measly 2 mana more than Duskbreaker is well worth it, it's also Flamestrike replacement for an elemental mage so you can keep the elemental chain instead of breaking it to flamestrike at turn

Has a bigger body too. It might be ok, but I have hard time putting it in a control mage list.
Vayazu 1 Report post Posted November 23, 2018 (edited) The card is very powerful after Jaina but otherwise it's pretty mediocre. It doesn't clear too many turn 6 aggro boards, in that regard it's much slower than Duskbreaker. Unlike Meteorologist it can't go face. It's understatted compared to a Baron Geddon, which is dropped from most elemental mage decks already. Not very excited about this one...
